It is 2024 and i am still watching this this guy playing this beautiful song in the middle of Melbourne city… i’ve stayed and studied in that peaceful place for 5 years, no more now, i back to Vietnam in 2020 and until now i never have a chance to visit Melbourne again… i clearly remember one day after class i took a walk around Melbourne city and saw this guy once playing this song and that just deeply engraved in my mine until forever…from my heart i really miss it, i miss everything in there, every sad cloudy days walking around the city till every cold nights chilling… i wish i could write a letter to Melbourne just as writing a letter to my ex, it’s just there but never you could come back again…
Indeed, such beauty stands the test of time, it'll be with us until our civilization crumbles and humankind is nothing more than a memory. Perhaps in some distant future, an alien species will stumble upon the ruins and, hopefully, this will be part of the evidence they find of our existence, and then they will be sad they missed us... ;?)
i'll admit, he's not the best violin player i've ever heard, but i absolutely love this entire performance. He looks like he's having so much fun that it makes me want to get my own instruments out to play and mess around with :')
I think the best part is that he played with emotion there's a lot of "players"as my teacher calls it but few "musicians" who actually play with passion and play what they feel in the piece not just what's written
Chris ikr, I have people tell me all the time online that "it doesn't matter if you play with emotion, you're just playing what's in the paper" but music really is another way to communicate with people (I always call it the international language) and convey emotions and if you play with emotion it's like a completely different song because people are seeing that side of you.
Real passion is the will to sit down for hours just to learn a minute of piece, practicing the same thing over and over and over. This guys just makes faces and moves too much, he is acting and putting on a show to make up for lack of actual passion. Canon isn't even that hard, but not only is he playing a watered down version but he's also trying to prop it up further on effects like a looper pedal, which ironical just limits him to simple beat and turns the music very mechanical and doesn't allow for any real feeling or emotion, he can't slow down or speed up depending on the nature of the song. Here's a far superior violinist playing the same piece, still solo but instead of relying on technology to play multiple parts she uses actual skill. ruclips.net/video/SLnQiMtTv2o/видео.html
Holy Moly.....not only is this the best version of this song I have ever heard, this young man actually knows the piece. If y'all listen carefully its not just the main bit over and over again like a lot of the covers are its ligit mostly full cover. Bravo my friend Bravo!
that made me cry. I didnt cry since the death of my aunt. I now want to travel the world so that i can experience these moments myself all other the world. Thanks to the guy who invented cameras and internet, we can all enjoy this kind of instants that make the life worth living. And thanks to this man who have so much talent.
That is some sweet moves right there, I can even picture him playing in the big stage wearing a suit in front of a big crowd. This guy is not just playing the song, he's telling a story through his music.
Aleggro ma non tropo is the best tempo for this song . Also , the way he plays , the sounds he produce make me think to, or image ancient couple dances from 1500 and 1600 period !!!!
If you ever truly lose hope in humanity (which is quite easy), watch videos of street performers. These people pouring their heart into what they love, capturing others and making them smile-that's what I would show someone asking what our worth is.
Canon D is my all time favourite classical music and this particular performance os quite ...I don't know what to say..I was smiling the whole time..It's quite refreshing and alive...It's not that I said the other performers do not play well..It's just that this man played it so merrily and I love every minute of it...Wish I could see it in Live
I love this piece above all other pieces of classical music, Idk why, but I find it so moving ;?) And it's interesting to see that while some people get it, so many just walked on by, completely immune and unable to hear the beauty, smh. I know if I was anywhere in the vicinity and heard this playing, I'd be drawn like a moth to the flame, lol.
In Melbourne, we have buskers on literally every corner, so to the people who are like "How can people just walk by when they hear such awesome music???" like, lol okay but it's the same in most cities. Music is everywhere here.
Look at the smile on the old guys face... No words needed.
Duane Wyllie i agree with you
BriannaNoob i agree with you
He's probably thinking "You did well, kid. You did well."
And that is the true magic of music.
hes thinking 'i remember when i used to listen to that as a kid"

Its like remembering my childhood
As a cellist, I hate this piece...
i'll admit, he's not the best violin player i've ever heard, but i absolutely love this entire performance. He looks like he's having so much fun that it makes me want to get my own instruments out to play and mess around with :')
Meghan Guo so true!!
BriannaNoob that’s.. that’s not what they were talking about
That was awfully big of you to 'admit that', lmao.
Meghan Guo, I totally agree of every thing you just said
That's the whole point of passion
I can't resist from replaying the video all over again. This is just so beautiful.
And the way he dances..
Still a favorite. Listening Dec 2024 from Virginia USA.

This is my favourite "canon in d" among variety of version that I know. Thank you so much
that made me cry. I didnt cry since the death of my aunt. I now want to travel the world so that i can experience these moments myself all other the world. Thanks to the guy who invented cameras and internet, we can all enjoy this kind of instants that make the life worth living. And thanks to this man who have so much talent.
Out of all the version of pachelbel canon d with loop pedal. This one i love the most
Absolutely delightful. How very uplifting! How anyone memorizes long pieces like that is beyond me. I can't even remember what I did yesterday.
I think I fell in love with him, with his movements while playing the violin
Yeah.. That's Amazing..
I move better somewhere else😋💦🍆
dont read my name bitch Oohhh, where? 🙄😏
Me too :')
Imagine Pachelbel himself seeing this...
Also, the little girl's face at 3:28 is just precious.
Pachelbel would have either died of a heart attack or liked it. I think, maybe...the latter?
Hahahaha
@@esejsnake1503 hahaha :D
its beautiful im crying
Off topic, but the first woman 0:05, congrats for the great parenting, teaching a child to donate!
its not so off topic
Plot twist: the baby was actually taking money out of the box.
I thought she was donating her baby for a second
Jackson This is hilarious 😂😂
That child gonna be someone great.
20 years is enough for this child if he or she educated properly by the baby's mother.
That is some sweet moves right there, I can even picture him playing in the big stage wearing a suit in front of a big crowd. This guy is not just playing the song, he's telling a story through his music.

Always love watching street performers in and around Melbourne. They're everywhere and they're all great!
Ingenious! What a creative way to honor Pachelbel!
Roberta Ricciardi I agree
Aleggro ma non tropo is the best tempo for this song .

I like it so much why don't you do it again.
Romulus Buta troppo*
I enjoyed watching his performance. The video of the Melbourne street just brings out what is Melbourne all about. Great!

Just watching people trying to catch the train is amusing
I know, especially because this is the circle line and comes around every few minutes ( back in 2006 at least )
Tram. Not train
This is an awesome performing
Nah, the train was trying to catch the people :/

you got me hooked on Canon in D, your move is so touching
i keep coming back to this one, simply because of the simple setup and the fact that he seems to enjoy himself playing
I wish for more ppl like him to renovate older music like this instead of letting it be lost to time. I love it so much!
I have seen him perform on the street. I was speechless and amazed. I been looking for this vid for long time.
That trolley at 2:40 was trolling hard! :)
