Out of everyone currently in the business of pro-wrestling, Cody is the most honest, upfront interviewee. Emotion is what drives wrestling - and Cody is always genuine with his answers, and you get the impression he means every word he says. Because of Cody and his openess to talk about AEW etc, it will hopefully lead to more honesty and transparency in WWE where they allow their talent to be more candid and not treat fans like everything else and other promotions don't exist. Ironically, the more wrestlers in WWE are permitted to talk more freely, the more I want to watch the product! No point in pretending the rest of the wrestling world doesn't matter or exist. Great interview again!
This is perhaps one of the most naive things I've ever read on the internet ever. That's actually kind of impressive. I love Cody and can't wait to see him take the title off of Roman at WrestleMania, but let's not BS here. He is a consummate politician who carefully constructs every word he says in order not to burn any bridges. He is the exact opposite of being honest or genuine. To his credit, that's why he's in the position he's in. So I'm not trying to dunk on him, but I want to make sure people don't mistakenly get the wrong impression by ignoring the reality of what happened when he wasn't in WWE.
So he’s not honest or genuine because he’s a PROfessional wrestler who doesn’t purposely burn bridges and does what he thinks is best for the industry and himself? The dude had to leave WWE in order to achieve what he wanted to achieve and prove to himself what he’s worth, and he’s still on that journey now. When he left, there was some animosity, when he achieved what he achieved, he was welcomed back and had honest conversations with people like Triple H and buried hatchets. He’s done something that very few people have been able to do and that’s cause he’s a pro. If people want to burn bridges, or not burn bridges ir whatever you’re going on about, Cody earned his spot. He took himself out if the AEW title picture and those fans still turned on him. First you say, he’s careful not to burn bridges, then you say he’s not genuine or honest like you know him or as if he’s done something to you, just say what you really want to say. Wrestling is a business and sometimes you gotta go into business for yourself while wanting to entertain the fans and uplift other wrestlers around you. The majority of those in the indies and AEW say Cody helped them. How many have left WWE and come back more popular than before based on their own hard work?

Cody should become a catalyst for Roman Reigns to get defeated by Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. Explanation: Cody comes face-to-face with Roman on Raw. Cody talks about how he was Stardust and his family was falling apart. He then explains that when a family member goes, the whole family falls apart. Then Cody leaves, and Roman is now attacked by Sami and Jey attacks Jimmy & Solo while Heyman looks on.
It can be both for sure, Cody is exceptional and Sammy is also doing well. Give them both a moment? Does not necessarily have to be main event or a belt at Wrestlemania. Nonetheless, I still wanna see Cody win against Roman at Mania.
I'll always said from day one when he was in the stable with Randy Orton that he was so underrated that even then if they would just let him shine he could have showed them a totally different side to ask me I think he's the goat what more could you ask for his dad was a Legend and so was his brother they come from royal blood true American blood long live the king of wrestling
I love this story. Skeptical on how it will go. Cody is a very "emotional" but for sure political guy. Him and Zamy are on the same political page. If you know what I mean. But I do want to see both reach the top of their goals. Sucks they both are on their prime but I am interested on how to see this goes.
Kinda makes me wonder if they will split up the titles again and if so, how they go about it and giving fans what they want, one on Cody, and one on sami
Him coming back to wwe made me like cody again..I fell in line with other aew fans and booed him but I truly believe that was aews biggest mistake..letting cody go..the best story teller in the business
He got into a difficult position in AEW. He could never win the title due to that rule he made, the fans turned on him big style but he refused to turn heel. I can’t really see what he would have done if he stayed.
Cody will be the face of WWE very soon. I'm down for this change ever since that Promo with Paul Heyman where Cody put Paul in a spot at a loss for words
I'm not sure if aew would allow it but I'd love to see Cody & Dustin lift the wwe title together at the end of mania if Cody wins. 40+ years later an a rhodes is WWE champion
Wasn't John Cone the red whose kid won the tag team championship with Braun? I'm glad to know he still has a job. He's one of those guys that was there for a long time then just vanished.
Seriously and honestly I love this new and refreshed Cody Rhodes he's much more mindful and actually alert with his awareness of what's going on. I obviously think that this will be the year where Cody's career comes full circle and go one better as champion that Dusty should've envisioned a long time ago but through Cody's eyes.
Let's be honest. Had AEW never happened, WWE would still never have looked at Rhodes the way they do now. I'm glad for him. But It's sickening watch the WWE fawn over a guy they crapped on for years in his previous stint. And now they get to reap the rewards of his work in other companies.
The thumbnail completely sums up. Sentiment. We don’t even need to listen to the interview,Of course I’m going to because I love Cody’s insight My point is, Sami is way more over than if the rock returned. listen to the people going insane. Rock would draw hype for about four days and ruin everything Sami accomplished. If people haven’t noticed every time the rock returns he gets less and less of a pop.. every time Austin returns he gets the 98 ovation. Why? Austin returns when it’s right for the fans And his last return even though it was in a losing fashion he made KO look great. I mean really it was the other way around. But giving KO that opportunity, people saw how well he treated Steve and because of that he’s catapulted forever Rock never really came back and helped anybody. He came back and beat Cena. He came back and beat punk. He stole the Cena versus Miz spotlight. Now I’m not saying these were his decisions but he took the money to do it. Say what you will about Brock. Since returning multiple times for a lot of money he was the guy that really put a Roman He then went on to put over Drew. Put Over Lashley. He will probably return a heel and put over Steveson next. But yeah my whole point is Cody understands we as fans have the attention span of gnats. That is why Elias is so infuriating. He has it all and they keep pulling the rug on him. Hopefully he will work with Cody one day and maybe he starts getting into actual stories
I would split the belts again. Triple Threat at ‘Mania - Sami, Cody and Roman. First fall gets one belt, second fall gets the other belt. Have Sami and Cody do their finishers on Roman back to back and have him covered twice in 6 seconds so they each win a respective belt. That would be massive.
They're making Cody the Top Guy is to prove that his move from AEW was legit, and all the things he's saying are true will happen, so this makes AEW talent think he's not jobbin' and there is an alternative to AEW and VKM. WWE are definitely after MJF also.
WWE doesn't give a damn about AEW... why Cody is being put at the top is simply because he ticks off all boxes WWE envisions in their superstars and he's paid his dues and earned that spot.
Cody Rhodes journey feels real and it’s not some goofy comedy that nobody cares about, I hope Wrestlemania delivers because we only got the Bloodline and Cody at this point. The rest is just super phony and not enjoyable.
I was thinking about that. Like this bloodline story is what’s keeping people tuning in. There’s no other consistent storylines that are keeping fans engaged
Yeah you right you can't take away from what Roman has accomplished an the match at wrestlemania the rumors of the rock Sammy all the is huge wonderful an its the right way to build new mega stars and bringing ppl back to wrestling. The Velveteen Dream can single-handedly save professional wrestling
Cody to win at WM with Sami interference. Cody unveils new title on RAW. Smackdown comes round, a new championship and tournament announced, with Jey and Sami in the final at the next premium live event. Who wins...don't care it will just be a great match
Indeed, despite Cody having to win at Mani against Roman which will be awesome Seth Rollins is super deserving to have another title run. Seth definately needs a good program soon, he could even be a baby face again and team with Cody. Cody will nonetheless, be red hot just as much as Sammy and Seth given a few months. His amazing! Great storytelling as well how it will all converge.
As much as I would like to see Cody with a title but it happening at the same time as Sammy hitting peak and worth at least 85-95% of the wrestling world knowing Sammy deserves a title ( not a title shot but a title) One story is going to override the other unless WWE splits the title up and Cody takes the Smackdown title and Sammy takes the Raw title but as of right now I personally think splitting the titles up will demote both story lines... I think WWE wrote themselves between a rock and a hard place...
I really hope WWE let's Cody winter title off of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39. Also hope WWE makes a title shirt with Cody on it. Cause I would definitely buy it. Cody fan 4 life.
No joke. National shows plus house shows all in one week. Plus it’s just a blurry video. The one’s commenting don't watch him in WWE. Cause he looks the same.
I hope Sami does steal the spotlight. He earned it. They have to push Cody because they paid him and brought him over. HHH hates him. I can't wait to see HHH bury him strategically.
It would be the greatest "work" in wrestling history if Cody wins at Mania and then takes the belts to AEW. Great way to cement his legacy and to screw over the company that screwed him and countless others.

Cody is one of the best heels of the last decade. He shined as a heel in Roh, NJPW and even BTE. It is too bad he won't embrace it.
I agree but the babyface level is incomparable for today
He's an even better face. Dude is on top of his game.
Last nights promo with Paul solidified that Sami definitely won't be beating Roman at EC
Cody has aged so much in 5 years
Kinda makes me wonder if they will split up the titles again and if so, how they go about it and giving fans what they want, one on Cody, and one on sami
Great answer when asked about dustin
Cody Rhodes never answers a question with a simple answer. He gives you a life story with the answer.
Very true that's why his gimmick is already getting very old fast
I see nothing wrong with it.
Tony has to let him go to mania..
Wasn't John Cone the red whose kid won the tag team championship with Braun? I'm glad to know he still has a job. He's one of those guys that was there for a long time then just vanished.
Cody should have Ricky jump to WWE as soon as he can
Seriously and honestly I love this new and refreshed Cody Rhodes he's much more mindful and actually alert with his awareness of what's going on. I obviously think that this will be the year where Cody's career comes full circle and go one better as champion that Dusty should've envisioned a long time ago but through Cody's eyes.
Beat Roman Reings? Drew smashed him, you out smart the Bloodline and have backup. Sami is probably gonna help Cody win.
Give them everything
Let's be honest. Had AEW never happened, WWE would still never have looked at Rhodes the way they do now. I'm glad for him. But It's sickening watch the WWE fawn over a guy they crapped on for years in his previous stint. And now they get to reap the rewards of his work in other companies.
Cody, Sami and the new creative direction are the only reasons I've returned to WWE TV.
The thumbnail completely sums up. Sentiment. We don’t even need to listen to the interview,Of course I’m going to because I love Cody’s insight
My point is, Sami is way more over than if the rock returned. listen to the people going insane. Rock would draw hype for about four days and ruin everything Sami accomplished.
If people haven’t noticed every time the rock returns he gets less and less of a pop.. every time Austin returns he gets the 98 ovation. Why? Austin returns when it’s right for the fans
And his last return even though it was in a losing fashion he made KO look great. I mean really it was the other way around. But giving KO that opportunity, people saw how well he treated Steve and because of that he’s catapulted forever
Rock never really came back and helped anybody. He came back and beat Cena. He came back and beat punk. He stole the Cena versus Miz spotlight.
Now I’m not saying these were his decisions but he took the money to do it. Say what you will about Brock. Since returning multiple times for a lot of money he was the guy that really put a Roman
He then went on to put over Drew.
An MJF debut could be the most killer moment since Punks return
@Jason O'Daniel Calm down sweetheart. 😂
WWE doesn't give a damn about AEW... why Cody is being put at the top is simply because he ticks off all boxes WWE envisions in their superstars and he's paid his dues and earned that spot.
@Jason O'Daniel 😢 😂
Night one Cody vs reigns
Night 2 should be Sammi vs reigns vs jey vs ko
He keeps quoting Anakin. “This is where the fun begins”
Reigns will give Cody the beating of his life at WM, and the lights will go out.....he'll reappear as Stardust and win!
Your the man Cody!
Your'ear'e*
Bruh 💀
Cody to win at WM with Sami interference. Cody unveils new title on RAW. Smackdown comes round, a new championship and tournament announced, with Jey and Sami in the final at the next premium live event. Who wins...don't care it will just be a great match
Reminds me of surfer sting 👌
Indeed, despite Cody having to win at Mani against Roman which will be awesome Seth Rollins is super deserving to have another title run. Seth definately needs a good program soon, he could even be a baby face again and team with Cody. Cody will nonetheless, be red hot just as much as Sammy and Seth given a few months. His amazing! Great storytelling as well how it will all converge.
Ricky Stark is his on huge Star he knows it an they know it if they smart. It needs to be more open
"Sorry. I always have long answers."
Cody is amazing
I do not want the Rock back, what would he do? Have one match against Roman and that's it?
I really hope WWE let's Cody winter title off of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39. Also hope WWE makes a title shirt with Cody on it. Cause I would definitely buy it. Cody fan 4 life.
I agree within roster is definitely better than having Dwayne Fortnite
That's the difference. Sami is Red Hot...Cody is WHITE HOT...
Cody Rhodes should be a different character, he said American nightmare well become that
Cody Addressssesssssessss
He's so right
Damn... Cody looks tired AF or... somethin idfk 😂
Man is thinking about wrestlemania
Always on the move
It looks like some kind of iron deficiency or something. Dusty had the same look around the eyes
BETTER MEN!!!!
My boy!!!!
Holy shit. Cody looks like he aged 10 years since he left aew.
I thought it was just RUclips auto selecting 480p but then I set it to 1080 and he was still looking ragged lol
@@mcq2879 dude looks like he needs some sleep. Either that or he's physically trying to become dusty. From 1998.
Yeah it's all in his face
@@TeamKaos1998 aew schedule different than wwe. Him going to wwe shows he's not lazy. Dude is ready to put that work in.
No joke. National shows plus house shows all in one week. Plus it’s just a blurry video. The one’s commenting don't watch him in WWE. Cause he looks the same.
Sami should not be put in the picture of a Cody vs Roman feud, Sami is so hot, he will steal the spotlight and do Cody dirty
I hope Sami does steal the spotlight. He earned it. They have to push Cody because they paid him and brought him over.
HHH hates him. I can't wait to see HHH bury him strategically.
It does hurt to say but WWE should move on from the past and focus on present
Cody looking like a more respectable, more manly MGK
It would be the greatest "work" in wrestling history if Cody wins at Mania and then takes the belts to AEW. Great way to cement his legacy and to screw over the company that screwed him and countless others.
He look just like his father in the thumbnail i thought it was a deep fake at first 🤧🤧🤣
I think the WWE is going to screw Cody again just like they did before Cody should have stayed in Aew
That'll backfire more on wwe than cody tbh.
@@JoseGonzalez-il8zh I think the WWE just wanted to get Cody out of Aew but I think they will screw Cody over
@@beep6437 if cody gets screwed, many will feel a certain type of way. Wwe can't get mjf like that. If they screw over cody, legitimately and not story driven, man... I don't see cody losing. He's in a win win situation.
You know this man really went into boss mode when seeing this article we almost wonder if he is part of the creative team lol
Anybody that does not know wrestling would immediately see this and perceive Cody as the CEO or something
Vince is going to destroy his own legacy
Sorry but i can’t see Cody Rhodes as the man or a Main Eventer at Wrestlemania..not a special look, not special in the ring, not a great promo..just a opinion..but wwe is gonna go with him it seems...
And now Cody is going to be public enemy after saying this because fans aren't getting their way.... even tho they wanted Cody to dethrone Roman anyways
Middle carder
stardust!!!
They send a guy to a wrestlemania main event, who is using a crossroades 3x in a row as Finisher. Oh lord. This guy leaved ones to find himself, but what he found was a billionairs son names Toni to pay for build a new company.and first of All he did when it started, was to book & push himself to the moon like never before. Unbelievable! He is still fucking STARDUST only what changed is the in-ring gear
Cody looks tired lol
We're still pretending to not know that it's scripted?
Imagine kick starting your own company, being an EVP of that company, then walking out, and joining the company that run your family's name in the mud, and just being a glorified jobber.

He is the #1 merch seller rn does alot of press i think so man.
Yeah I recon your right - from looks of it , he’s the top baby face
I’m sorry but I find him somewhat nauseating.. takes himself far too seriously. Sami Zayn all day long for me.
AEW jobber.
