This video is better than 99.9 percent of all the regurgitated garbage in Hollywood.

Totaly agreee
Watch better movies. There are quite a few lower budget films that have wonderful artists creating stories of true emotional resonance, but these aren't what get the big marketing budget. Keep your eyes open for something other than blockbusters and you may be surprised.
@Opamigaaa If everything is art nothing is, but art is 100% perspective and interpretation. For art to be remarkable enough to avoid being negligible as art, it has to push broundries. That is objective criteria to which art can be ranked, assuming that the art has succeeded in mustering some kind of feeling as a baseline. Does this video push boundries? I'm not saying it does.
But this is why you are correct to say it's dumb to think anything that comes out of Hollywood even can be "art", they're not allowed to push boundries anymore. Also it's dumb to imply that "most people"... "SHOULD" like good art... by definition if most people like something it's not pushing boundries, it's conforming to them. Think of a good joke... a good joke is only a good joke if at least 50% of the people in a given sample size WOULDNT GET IT (that's why these woke comedians aren't getting anywhere, they're pretending to push boundries by conforming).
This vid is prob pretentious, as am I. But that's also subjective and I don't think has anything to do with what actually fundamentally makes art good or trash. Yes, art should make you feel connected to those who resonate with it thus less connected to those who don't... but that doesn't mean you take those who don't resonate with it for granted, they're quite necessary & worth respecting.

Dark Souls anybody?
Every year on 12th of August I come back to the KIN Fables, watching them all over again, paying my sort of tribute and thanks to your never ending inspiration. Ben will never be forgotten and he shines on in all of you.
He shines in you...and your heart shines on all of us also....That's how it works.
Totally Dark souls - Demon souls vibe.
We need a movie from these producers.
I love this video and its better than the most of Hollywood movies that are trying to capture this fantasy vibe .
This is a beautiful work of art. Every word, every note, every frame is a masterpiece . The costumes, the acting, the choreography, edits, all are amazing.
I know that you have lost much at House of Youth, and I know that it is selfish for me to ask. But, could you please, one day, produce this as a feature-length film? 🙏
I came back here to add something I just experienced. As soon as the video started, a dense fog fell upon my city. I live 50 miles east of Los Angeles. We rarely get any fog! It was magical.
The one thing i really love about this whole series, is it shows a very interesting story line that has a plot, however it is also so vague and obscure that you can interpret the meaning in many different ways. Typically you have a direct plot that says something like "as a kid he ran away, and found portal between fairyland and real life" i interpret it as, he was a kid who was lost, he found hope and love while searching for his meaning enjoyed it for a bit, then was tempted with darkness. Once the darkness took hold the love, hope and wonder of childhood was kidnapped and lost forever, his older self and his love/hope stood at the edge of the cliff in hopes of preventing the loss or bringing it back but it was too late. The story seems to be of the soul wandering, dying, experiencing and in the end, finding his hope/love again with the one he once lost. Which rings incredibly true to my life.
This is so well done. So simple and still so impressive. I love how the camera moves, how light and dark, play the dance...how music, sound effects and voice touch together ...very fine piece of art.

This is one of the most powerful pieces set to music and film, that I have ever had the privilege to watch and listen to

I know that feeling exactly. My Dad was the sun in my sky. My mother took me 3,000 miles away from him when I was 10. She was abusive and fanatically religious. My Dad was the only one in my life that truly KNEW me and accepted and loved me. It shattered my heart driving away from him that day. Talking occasionally on the phone for the next 21 years, except for a few week long visits until I was 18. I didn't see him again till I was 31. And he had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I moved back to be with him. For several days as he lay dying in my arms, I stayed awake with him, massaging his chemo-wasted body. Trying with all my might to wrap him in a spiritual cocoon, pushing my energy to him, begging Spirit to give us more time. Dancing before the spectre of Death that hung about the room, slinking closer then back and close again, not even bothering to shroud itself in shadows, so sure of his claim he was. After 4 days and nights of battle, he won. My father that had once been so terribly handsome and strong, was reduced to an emaciated shadow of himself, only bones with skin lightly draped across, by a weapon from the Vietnam war, more than 40 years after exposure.

5 years has passed, still is a masterpiece that inspired my whole art style that medival theme related, I love kin fable so much.
This needs to be flushed out to a full length film. Uhhhhh mazing art and entertainment.

This reminds me of my DnD character. An old warrior, nothing but gilded bones in sand, was stumbled onto by a child with more power than she could control. As she touched those gilded bones she imbued them with life. Power. Those old Bones stood up, gathered amongst itself rags, rusted armor, and myriad weapons strapped to its back and set out. The child had been kidnapped by those who wanted to exploit her. And the old Bones had promised to show her the warmth of a kind sun she had never known.
The funny thing is, I listened to it so many times that when I was watching "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities" when I heard Rebecca's voice, I knew it was you, The Faerie Queen - Oriana Leman! Great job there!

Wow this is do stunning, I cannot stop watching and analyzing all hidden symbols and metaphors of this. We have here the second most important elements of hero's journey initiation part - fragment of "road of trials", "meeting with the goddess", and being "tempted" before making decision about "descending into the abyss". And that thrilling danse macabre motive. Chapeau bas, this masterpiece resonates with me so much 👏

I'm surprised you compared this to Game of Thrones. I have heard others say something about Dark Souls being similar. I had never thought of any of these 3 things as comparable, but I have also not played Dark Souls.
