Hate to break it to ya Jimmy..
Reservoir Dogs is a shameless rip off of a 1987 Hong Kong flick City on Fire.

This film is tormenting but its also fascinating, Hopkins just masterful performance still his greatest role I think. There is hardly any man on earth who behaves the way Mr Stevens does.

no one else could have played that role as well as him

There's many men that behave the way Mr Stevens does, sadly. Because they feel they cannot be open about their emotions

Raiken Xion I bag to differ with your statement about man’s behavior... perhaps, nowadays, less men would appear to be as emotionless as Mr. Stevens is in the movie, yet this is arguable, nonetheless the times when Mr. Stevens was brought up were such that called for that type of mannerisms, especially in service you were not supposed to show your emotions while executing your duties. To become a “Butler” was a very hard task. Not a job for everybody to do!

Alfie Scrimshaw is very much like Stevens.

Hopkins got a chance to play a wide variety of roles and not just serial killer roles after Hannibal lector. Which is great for him because he's an excellent actor Shakespearean trained I think.

"I am busy in this room miss Kenton". Great actor, if I see he's in a particular film I will always watch it, because I know it will be good. He wouldn't be in a low budget crappy film.

good to see that Tony is referring to Debra Winger here - because if you haven't already, please check out hers and Tony's performance in "Shadowlands" as well. both movies, "Shadowlands" and "Remains of the Day", are a must-have pick for your video library -- both duets would have well deserved an academy award in a leading role! phenomenal performances and good scripts!
