Just want to say I appreciate this. When I could no longer tolerate apples or oranges it really made me depressed because i relied on them for specific nutrients then i found other foods because i had to to get calcium like bok choy which i'd never eaten and i love it.

It’s not working for me so far at one month in. I was juice fasting before and was doing amazing. Switched to AIP because I was told it was critical that I begin. From the moment I started AIP I’ve been going downhill. Fatigue, brain fog, and weight gain. I barely eat but gain non stop because of my Hashimoto’s. I’m going to bring back my green juices. I need the nutrients.

Thank you Shanna for your videos. I've been following you a while now and this topic came just at the right time for me. I have done 9 full weeks with strict AIP and I havn't really gotten better so I'm now trying to troubleshoot to see what I can do different. :)

Thanks, Shanna! This is excellent. I'm so glad you shared about Dr. Sarah's book because I have been wondering if I need supplements. I have facial eczema still after being on AIP paleo strictly since April. I had to cut out foods high in histamine in June, and then I realized I needed to cut out foods high in arginine and eat more of the foods high in l-lysine due to chronic viral infections. I still need to figure out why the facial eczema is still there. Maybe supplements will help. Anyway, I love this video and I want your blouse lol :)

You're welcome Terry! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am sorry to hear you are struggling with facial eczema. My daughter had eczema as a toddler and it was hard! It's cleared up since and I do know that healing her gut did help. Hopefully Dr Sarah's book helps point you in the right direction as far as supplementation needs you may have. And thank you, I found the blouse in a random store in a mall - lol. It was a great price too - score! ;)

Hi there! Have you figured out if it could be due to parasite, candida or even mold? Can you tell me, I am struggling with facial eczema as well... eliminate dairy has helped a lot but I have more work to do

@@aminachaoui3881 Hi! I honestly don't remember if I did anything specific. I do use Aveeno Excema Therapy cream. The ceramides help keep the protectice skin layer intact. I'm great overall as the AIP paleo diet gave me my life back. I have allergies making my eyes puffy right now but I'm far from having the severe fatigue I used to have. I owe the diet to my overall healing internally and externally including my skin. I hope that helps somewhat!

I have the same issues with garlics and onions. I try to eliminate high FODMO foods from the AIP diet to see it it help.

I understand what you are saying, yeah 👍 but sometimes the diet of what you can find of canned goods that have no sugar no high fructose syrup, have pronounce able ingredients. Costs more to eat healthy. The diet of canned goods gets kind of boring after a while. Aldi s has the edamame and soybean pasta. Walmart has the gluten free rice based noodles. Guess what ur not supposed to have on the aip diet? I can't win but thanks for ur help 🙏✌️🌹🌺🌷👍 has anyone ever told you u look like Jennie Garth from 90210 BTW? 😉🤗☺️

Ive been suffering for a few years and I want to try diet changes but just the idea of it seems like so much work when I am already so tired fighting chronic pain and fatigue of my autoimmune disorder. It is such a viscous cycle.;(
I also work and have a 7 year old with Autism. I just don't know how to get started.

Hi Kelci! My heart is with you! It can be so hard to make diet and lifestyle changes when feeling so unwell. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Once I started feeling better, it became easier. But up front, it is a lot of work. There's no way around it...it's hard.
So, first of all, know you can take it as slow as you need to. Or you can jump in quicker if you feel inspired to. If you feel overwhelmed by the nutrition side of it, I'd start with stress management and/or sleep. Try improving those first.
Also, I recommend working with a nutritional therapy practitioner to help walk you through the process and support you. They can customize a plan for you in your life. I am a NTP but am not working one on one with clients. However, I am working on a group program. But it will not be out until some time in 2020, so that doesn't help you now.
If you want a DIY approach, I do have lots of free resources on my website, www.wellnessunraveled.com.
Sending you lots of love and support! You are strong enough, and I believe in you!
