I'm sat feeling sorry for myself as not able to ride for a while and you have given me the boost I needed. I just can't wait to get out again. Great Series Ryan. Love you man. ❤
Really enjoyed the slab city video the most and then second was running into that family of riders in your last video. You’re at your best when talking to people and including their stories in your adventures.
Thank you for all that you do. Working full time and having a wife and children precludes me from such adventures but I can live through your journeys. I love what you do.
This Ryan's new adult-wise version in decision-making is more in line with my values❤😂... It's nice and super cool to ride all day long into the wild, but also super good to enjoy a comfy bed and hot tub❤. Gracias por la super serie
From the youngest of ages I was taught to follow a traditional path, but it never felt right. So at an age when many of my peers were settling down and having kids, I walked away from my cushy life and found the mountains, and for the first time, life stopped feeling like a constant struggle. Then, when many of my peers were sending their kids off to school, I became a Wilderness Ranger for one of our most beloved national parks, and for the first time, life was filled with a sense of adventure, passion, purpose, and meaning. For a few years, life was better than I'd ever dared to hope, incomparably better than I have words for. Then my ankle figuratively and literally died. Now, I can neither access the places that brought me peace, nor can I work the job that brought me meaning. It's been... hard. But thanks to some videos such as yours, for the first time in months, I've started again feeling things like curiosity, intrigue, and optimism. Thank you.
I remember my first time riding in snow. I thought, "I have a mountain bike with big tyres, it'll be perfect for snow!" and then proceeded to nearly eat it about 3 minutes into the ride. 😂 Looks like it was worth it for that scenery!
Classic Duzer TV.. Thank You for bringing me along.. What was my favorite.. Slab City, Western Town.. No matter the situation you are always positive.. Enjoying the scenery😀
The morning gratitude talk was profound. What you said about riding for 8 days and you return home feeling recharged, humbled, compassionate... hit me right in the feels. What you said resonates so true and motivating. Thanks Ryan, love following your adventures. You are not just a vlogger but a beautiful person with a loving and such a cultured personality.
Loved the fact that at the start of this you were saying about how humans are good people, and at the end it's a perfect example of what you were stating.
Thank you so much for this trip, I live up by Sandpoint Idaho now but that area is where I learned to mountain bike around 87. This old man got more emotional as you crossed the 10frwy❤
The climb into Big Bear was one of the weirdest climbs of my life when I was on the PCT. It was like 50 miles from Cabazon to the highest altitude. My Husband and I took 2 days to do the climb, and went through this weird rollercoaster of emotions. We walked along water the whole time, which was weird coming from 100 mile stretches with no water. The emotional ups and downs felt truly supernatural, and we didn't acknowledge them in the moment. It was only when we were reflecting on our last stretch. We went from crying in 100 degree heat, to being delirious, hiking at 8pm in 30 degrees singing uptown girl. Nature can do crazy things! Oh, the memories. I was really brought back in this video.
Damn you are such an inspiration! I was biking almost everyday in nature! Loved it. Then i got pregnant.. I was a little depressed cause cycling was not recommended.. So my eyes always lit up and my spirit charged every time you uploaded another video.. It kept me sane.. My son is now 6 months old and im finally back on my bike agian.. Thanks for being the human you are... Cant wait to buy my son his firts little bycicle... Cheers Ryan! Never change! Love, fro. SOUTH AFRICA
Oh wow!! Congrats on your boy!! That must be so exciting. And I’m happy to hear that you’re back on the bike, it must be so nice to be pedaling again. Happy trails
I love your attitude and positive outlook on life. You can either dwell on the negatives or focus on the positives, and you my friend, take the positives out of situations. Much appreciation for your content and positive outlook. Keep it up Ryan! Oooleeee oleee oleee oleeeeeee🤣
The view of the valley and city from the mountain reminded me of the line, “The sun was hot and the sun was bright down in the valley below Where people starved and hungry for life so empty come and go.” Keep adventuring, Ryan!
What an excellent wrap up ending for such an adventure! Lots of thoughts from the soul along this way. Congratulations! You have inspired more in myself. Thanks for the adventure. Be safe and be well until next time.
dreamt i was standing outside the St. Julian on Canyon & you & Amelia rode by & i shouted to my girlfriend who was down by the farmers market but could also hear me for some reason i said “hey there goes Duzer & Amelia!!” and she was like “oh yeah!!” 👏👏👏
Ryan, you are such a caring, loving, empathetic , optimistic person! Can you send some of that gift my way please? It's far too easy to get caught up in the menutia 😞 Thank you, my friend!
I am incredibly impressed by the video stabilization on your helmet camera. The downhill was almost rock solid despite the roughness of the trail. Thank you for brining us along.
Favorite part?..... You singing Christmas tree. Can totally relate. Love watching all your content. I started bikepacking in 2020. So if your aim is to inspire people to get out there, well done, you have achieved exactly that. Greetings from South Africa.... And keep the video's coming.
I love your videos and admire your outlook on life and the freedom you share. I wish I was healthy enough too ride the distances you do. Looking forward to the next video.
How did you know I was laying on the couch watching this episode ? Thank you this has been a great series . Truly some of best scenery you have ever posted . Happy Birthday from my wife and I .
Outstanding - From Beginning To End - Amazing Winds, Chilly Temps, And What A 7 Hour Day To End The Southern Loop - Slab City Was The Highlight Hands Down - But Everyday Was Pretty Righteous Because I Remember The Area For Sure Well Done Duzer, Cheers
Watched four of your vids today on this lazy Sunday, great entertainment And you've lived in Sweden, Ha I made the move here years ago from Australia , Keep up the great work , Ha det så bra 🎊🚴🏽♀️
I was born and raised a long that whole route. It's great see it all again. I've been out in the northeast for 13 years and miss it back west. It really feels like that route is my childhood. I dig it all.
Yeah I grew up right around the sweetwater reservoir in East San Diego. Slab city is a rad place as well as the Salton sea. Dates galore in Coachella and big bear is classic so cal mountain town.
Love your vids brother. You inspire me to one day do what you do. I grew up in SoCal and explored some of these areas in my younger days. I love the sight of Joshua trees in the dessert. I hope the drought was alleviated by the latest precipitation events they have witnessed down there. Wanna see those Joshua trees in full bloom!
Pretty sure Snickers satisfies you and milk does a body good. Actually both of those things does both of those things…😊 thank you for keeping me motivated my friend!
Just finished watching the whole journey. It was another goodie. Thanks, Ryan for publishing these inspiring stories that really do make me get out and ride.
TY Ryan. Another great vid! I live in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains very close to where you passed through. Before moving here a decade ago from the east coast, I was clueless as to how beautiful the Inland Empire is. From the SB mtns to the Mojave/Joshua Tree. And so much great biking!
What an amazing adventure and how could the ending get much better. Good human beans and some new bags to boot. Thanks for taking us along. Take care, Al
Bit of an ad nerd here. It was Milk: it does a body good. Snickers: Satisfies. What a great series. Thanks for sharing with all of us. I’ve driven and van camped in some of these areas. I’ve seen some amazing music at Pappy’s and then camped in the corrals. I’m a mountain biker but hope to get into bike touring at some point.
Great work as always Ryan! Really enjoyed tagging along, loved the awesome scenery and the characters you met along the way. It is currently freezing outside right now so makes it even more enjoyable to watch. Way to go big "D"!
8:50 - "yep, it's the real deal. This is steep." // and yet, what does Ryan do? He pulls out a camera, holds it one hand while the other balances his body on the bike frame to crank out the power to climb. You amaze me Ryan. Thanks for capturing the pain too along with all the other great ride shots. Your 'work' motivates me on the basement trainer rides.
Man, is seems like you experienced all 7 seasons in 9 days! Great video/series, thank you! I'm a super social person and always worry that I'll go crazy bike-packing alone, but these videos are truly inspiring. Going with others is always fun, but it seems to me like you begin to discover so much more about yourself when you go it alone. I'm gonna get out and do it! Thanks, Ryan.
Loved this one! It looked very challenging in the changing conditions: hot, cold, rocks, gravel, pavement, wet. I suspect some of those trails are pretty trashed from our recent rains but the wildflowers should be nuts this spring. It’s nice to see a tour like that in my back yard (Long Beach). Your editing is terrific and the length of your posts is perfect.
Milk does the body good...Snickers satisfies 🙂 Loved this one!! I credit you with getting me excited about riding my bike again. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
So walking your bike through crusty snow is easier than riding. Good to know. But you know what's even easier? Watching YOU ride through snow while sitting on the couch. That's WAY easier!!!
Hey Ryan, great video! Thanks for sharing the end of your journey! RUclips didn’t put this in my subscriptions list, I almost missed it. I hope this is a one-time occurrence, I don’t want them leaving you out. Anyway, take care!
What an amazing 9 days Ryan. Enjoyed every minute of your adventure. Glad you are safely home for the holiday, even though it was a couple of months ago. Keep on showing us the way to wonderful adventures on the seat of a bicycle. Make it an awesome 2023!
Thank you for posting this! I live in big bear near one of the trails that comes off the mountain and intersects this road. I’ve always wanted to ride down to pioneer town but I never knew if the trail was good for bikes. I hope you do more videos up here, I’m planning a lot of trips for Holcomb valley or off the skyline trail like your other videos. Thanks!!!!!!
I enjoyed watching this so much! We're local to the area, so it was so much fun to watch you ride in places we're familiar with. Oh, and my husband is a fan now too! So...ole ole ole...lol :)
Ryan, I love your videos, and yes, I am sitting on a couch right now. But, you inspire me to go out and do some great outdoor trips like last year's month long adventure visiting various national parks in Utah, or hiking Franconia Ridge in White Mountains, so, thank you for sharing. A lot.
Master class, Ryan ! Thank for sharing another great adventure series. I watch in 4K and haven't had a television for 20 year Lol.Your videos are just brilliant. You had me smiling with the humour on this last one again too and the scenery was just nuts. Thanks from the UK 👍🏼
Too bad you didn't have a Sharpie to correct that sign. :D Glad you're okay! Your path looked a little 'sketchy' there in places! Glad to have another great Ryan Van Duzer video! Love the ending to this! Hilarious!
Another awesome video Ryan. I watch all your videos from here in the UK with my 8yr old daughter - a Sunday evening post-bath tradition 😊. She asked me “what’s the difference between a crashie and a whammy?” And you know what I don’t know!!… over to you 🤔
Awe!! What a fun tradition. Give your daughter a high five from Crazy Uncle Duzer!! A whammy is anything crazy and unexpected…maybe a swarm of killer bees, or a tornado…or a sinkhole appearing out of nowhere :) you get the drift.
Ryan I just finished reading your book it was awesome I couldn’t put it down got it last week already finished it! That was some trip 4,000 miles😮! I really like all your adventures I’ve watched on RUclips keep it up 👍
Hi Ryan, I just finished the book last night! Such an inspiring story/adventure. I happened upon your channel by chance by searching “Burning Man” 😂, but have loved learning about biking/bike packing watching your videos. Even getting my wife an my bikes going now. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Thank you all for watching this series! It was one of my favorite routes of all time. What was your favorite part?
I'm sat feeling sorry for myself as not able to ride for a while and you have given me the boost I needed. I just can't wait to get out again. Great Series Ryan. Love you man. ❤
Really enjoyed the slab city video the most and then second was running into that family of riders in your last video. You’re at your best when talking to people and including their stories in your adventures.
The lovely family you met in J-Tree. 😉
That BIG-ASS burrito at the end!
The Santa Ana Winds 🙈🙈😂😆🤣 nah, just kidding, the whole series was great. Thanks for bringing us along this adventure Ryan 👍🏼.
Thank you for all that you do. Working full time and having a wife and children precludes me from such adventures but I can live through your journeys. I love what you do.
Bikepacking keeps life in the present moment for sure. Duzer for President.
Well I'm watching this after riding 20 miles of sand, gravel, pavement, rocks and dirt this afternoon, after church. Gorgeous day for riding!
Right on! Sounds like you had an awesome day
" When I'm in the present moment, that's when I feel the most alive. For sure. " Ryan Van Duzer
God says this: Love and Serve one another. :)
This Ryan's new adult-wise version in decision-making is more in line with my values❤😂... It's nice and super cool to ride all day long into the wild, but also super good to enjoy a comfy bed and hot tub❤. Gracias por la super serie

You should watch Footless Jo. The struggles are not all the same, but some are. It may be of help.
I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but I don't understand what you mean by your ankle literally and figuratively died.
Good see John and Mira again
Actually working out while I watch, which is often my routine. Sometimes we watch over dinner, though.
Great fun watching you bike in the desert and be undaunted by adversity. Great when friends show up and square things away. Grand!
Couldn't agree more!
We love you RYAN......us living room dreamers dream with you every adventure! Thank you. G
I remember my first time riding in snow. I thought, "I have a mountain bike with big tyres, it'll be perfect for snow!" and then proceeded to nearly eat it about 3 minutes into the ride. 😂

You are amazing, inspirational ,and fun to follow. Its been 2 years I have not been on an adventure, the time is NOW !!!! Thanks Ryan
You can do it! Thanks for watching my videos
Loved the fact that at the start of this you were saying about how humans are good people, and at the end it's a perfect example of what you were stating.
So true! Good people show up everywhere
I bought a kaiventure bag a little over a year ago and i cannot tell you how useful its been. Its awesome to see the person that help make it!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much for this trip, I live up by Sandpoint Idaho now but that area is where I learned to mountain bike around 87. This old man got more emotional as you crossed the 10frwy❤
This is probably one of my favorite videos. That you for sharing your morning thoughts.
Thank you! Sitting on a bike all day brings out the best thoughts

Uptown Girl, what a great song to sing out loud. I always sing to myself when I'm out there. So cool that you did the PCT, that's on my list!
I love these multi-day adventures. My favorites parts were slab city and Joshua Tree. Thanks for bringing us a long.
Slab city was my favorite as well

I love your attitude and positive outlook on life. You can either dwell on the negatives or focus on the positives, and you my friend, take the positives out of situations. Much appreciation for your content and positive outlook. Keep it up Ryan! Oooleeee oleee oleee oleeeeeee🤣

Kindness repays kindness. Coolness.
What an amazing ride down from Big Bear! The San Bernardino & San Gabriel ranges are incredibly rugged and beautiful. What a road you came down !!
It was soooo beautiful out there! I need to go back and explore
I usually shy from riding my bike when it gets below zero, but that path looks so beautiful. I think I’ll have to re evaluate.
Wait! Wait! Wait!
I like Chili , I like Mango!
OH MAH ......GAWD! I need to eat some !
They are soooo tasty!!!
I ride in the snow and I fall off into it about 20% of the ride, you did great
Snow is indeed spooky to ride on, I’ve fallen many times

Great trip Ryan, always looking forward to your next adventure. Your enthusiasm, optimism and positive outlook are infectious.
Thanks so much! New adventure posting on Sunday
Thanks for this series. I really enjoyed it. The snow brought back a lot of good memories for me of rides in the snow here in Colorado.
Awesome!
Man, is seems like you experienced all 7 seasons in 9 days! Great video/series, thank you! Great series! Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures with us!
Thanks so much for following the journey!!
I just missed you, I left the 16th riding in the snow with my gravel bike and staying at hotel to celebrate the 2022 Marine Corps Ball.
22:56 That mountain on the Horizon to the right is where I grew up Corona California
Spectacular views and a awesome adventure and it doesn't hurt to pamper yourself like an adult. LOL :) I got my Duzer fix so I'm good. :) :)
That’s the truth!!
I absolutely love your videos!
I just watched on Patreon, but wanted to pop in here to give it a "like" and wish you a very Happy Birthday! xox
Awe!! I really appreciate you doing double duty!! THANK YOU for always being so kind
So walking your bike through crusty snow is easier than riding. Good to know. But you know what's even easier?
Watching YOU ride through snow while sitting on the couch. That's WAY easier!!!
hahaha, you got that right!
Hey Ryan, great video! Thanks for sharing the end of your journey!
RUclips didn’t put this in my subscriptions list, I almost missed it. I hope this is a one-time occurrence, I don’t want them leaving you out.
Anyway, take care!
Yeah I have the same problem, it's not coming up in my Subs list or indicating a new video by Ryan.
Fix this YT, ASAP
Oh weird!! I wish that I could fix this, but I’ve actually never talked to anyone at RUclips 😂 glad that you still found it
What an amazing 9 days Ryan. Enjoyed every minute of your adventure. Glad you are safely home for the holiday, even though it was a couple of months ago. Keep on showing us the way to wonderful adventures on the seat of a bicycle. Make it an awesome 2023!

I love hearing this! Utah has some amazing national parks!
It's crazy to think that you're in desert one day and then in snow the next. Beautiful life journey you're on, Ryan.
It really is amazing. I love the diversity of this route
Thank you for sharing to us your adventure. I wish I can do it as well in my lifetime. Have a safe ride.
I hope that you can, someday!
Ryan, thanks for sharing this amazing trip with us, I really enjoyed..............best regards.
Great perseverance Ryan ✅🌲🌲

Glad you're okay! Your path looked a little 'sketchy' there in places! Glad to have another great Ryan Van Duzer video!
Love the ending to this! Hilarious!
From now on, I’m traveling with Sharpies 😂😂 thanks for watching my videos
Once again happy vibes from Mr. Positive RVD👍
Always! Or…almost always ;)
