    Yorushika is so rare.. a band that makes music not for fame nor money, But for the sake of music itself ❤️

      Thats what he wanted to do and thought he was doing but he agreed that he wanted fame too, and want to be heard.

      dude, that's the mentaility in the west, its not rare in japan, japanese bands usually make music because they enjoy it unless it's idols groups.

    • @Wahahajuice
      @Wahahajuice 2 года назад +9

      Actually I think more people than we give credit to pursue music for the sake of making music. It's common knowledge that music is a highly competitive field that could make or break a person. That's why people generally need to be passionate about what they're doing and believe in themselves if it's the career they want.
      Admittedly there are probably musicians and bands out there doing it for money, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sure it feels wrong at face value but at the end of the day, if someone listens and goes "man, I like this song," I think that's all that matters.
      This isn't to discredit Yorushika in anyway; in fact they're currently my favorite artists. Their music hits like a passion project gone right. You can tell they generally love and do it for music (Plagiarism). But that doesn't mean it's be bad if they randomly put out a song they were payed to make. As long as someone felt it, it's good.
      I guess the point I'm trying to make is that saying it's good because it's "not for money" is kinda a faulty compliment. Someone earlier said nbuna has admitted he actually wanted some of the fame that came with production, but does that suddenly make the music bad?
      Nah. It's still good because they had an idea, believed it would work and poured their thoughts and feelings into it and it came through.
      Even if I was told the musicians did it for the money later, I'd still think "well the song writer must've been passionate about what they were writing and that's what made it good."

    To be honest, Yorushika impressed me from every way. The guitarist (yes, I'll start with the guitarist) always surprised me and ended up being my idol. The vocal Suis is even more amazing, her voice are flexible and I could hear her feelings in every single song, words, syllables, her range too, when she sang Hana ni Bourei, I was actually dumbfounded to know that it was the same vocal. I ended up admiring this band as something that motivates me rather than hearing for fun or entertainment

    Some random factoid about Suis since little is known about her (this is something that she revealed on the radio show she used to do, which I'll link if I ever find), is that she isn't really involved in music outside of recording songs for Yorushika. She often stays in her home and plays video games, and only goes out for work or recording sessions lol
    If you actually watch radio episodes, you get to see that she's very energetic and bright, very different from what she might come off as in her music

    It’s funny because I listened to n-buna’s vocaloid music when I was like 12 years old (I’m 22 now) and it’s funny because I didn’t know he wrote those songs, I was into the characters not the producers.
    I just think it’s really neat how without knowing it I still found their music again and fell in love with it as an adult despite it not being anywhere in the mainstream media where I’m from. (Canada)

    I really like this documentary, but if you will, allow me to correct your pronunciation.

    • @jillianjacques4190
      @jillianjacques4190 3 года назад +7

      Phonetically it’s not silent, in conversation it sounds muted amongst native speakers or people mimicking native accents.
      This isn’t a mispronunciation, it’s a foreign accent pronouncing foreign syllables.

    • @romnickpalana4585
      @romnickpalana4585 3 года назад

      You are wrong.. It depends on different accent all around japan.. Yuroshka is a russian accent though.

    • @daboy272
      @daboy272 3 года назад +2

      @@romnickpalana4585 How about I tell you that you are completely wrong with that?
      And where are your sources? Are you in Japan?
      Also, the russian accent is out of the discussion here because we are talking about a Japanese duo.
      I have never heard anyone of my Japanese friends and any Japanese person in general say "Yorush-i-ka" (emphasis on the "i").
      Because when you say it with the "i" on it as in, "Yorush-i-ka", it means "Is it OK?" in Japanese language (phonetically speaking).
      Japanese people always pronounce it as "Yorushka" without the "i".
      I doubt you watch their radio interviews, but if you do, try to listen carefully and you'll hear the Radio DJ pronouncing it as "Yorushka" in their introduction.
      I am personally an official member of the Yorushika Fanclub (the Smartphone App, go to their official site to know more).
      As a member, one of the perks I have is I get to listen to their weekly release of Yorushika's recordings every week.
      It is basically just N-buna and Suis talking about anything under the sun (it's really fun btw).
      And again, you will never hear N-buna and Suis saying "Yorushi-i-ka", it is always "Yorushka".
      Just last June 26th, I watched Yorushika in the theater (in their exclusive theater release of their 01/09 online concert).
      And I get to talk with a lot of fans who watched as well.
      EVERYONE pronounce it as "Yorushka". That's it.
      This video is a snippet of the concert I'm talking about: ruclips.net/video/Ht6lcYg9Zfo/видео.html
      And btw, N-buna and Suis are the names of the duo members of Yorushika (just in case you don't know them). :)
      Source: I am living in Japan. I have a lot of Japanese friends who love Yorushika as well.

      @@AnakiraJapan hey it’s alright! You are already forgiven for doing extensive research and presenting it so well
      But anyways it’s goo-mi. Kinda like reversing the syllables in miku.
      It might help you in future to know that there are primarily five vowels in japanese: a, i (ee), u (oo), e (eh), o. So if a japanese word is written with u like gumi, the u is most probably pronounced as oo. Hope you have a great day!
