- Quite of you ask where I got that cool shot glass in the video.
It is from a Korean brand called Hansem - unfortunately, it's been discontinued however, I found a product link on Amazon similar to the one I've used here. These are called Schnapps glasses.

I always wanted to show you this cocktail since I started youtube.
I had this cocktail over 15 years ago(yikes) in Seoul Korea, at a bar in Chongro.
It is quite popular in Korea now, but at that time it was a rare cocktail.
The recipes today on the web call for sugar for the snowflakes but I remember the bartender used salt for his presentation.
I tried both and salt works way better than sugar so try both if you're curious :)
It is a beautiful yet very strong shot like cocktail so I don't recommend it if you're not used to hard liquor.
I just got to know that the Blue Sky was an award-winning cocktail invented by a Korean bartender in 1997.
Do be careful while handling alcohol, especially the 151 proof rum since it can catch fire easily.

Also, how long do you let the flammes go for ? Cause I cannot recreate the tingling with the salt without ruining the cocktails taste

Could you get the snow effect with sugar too?
Sugar works fine however, it doesn’t make that twinkling sound when you sprinkle it over the fire/cloud. I prefer salt over sugar because of that additional ‘performance’ :)

Just tried this… I poured peach schnapps in, vodka in, and they mixed. When I got to the blue curacao layer, I used a spoon to slowly pour the curaçao in but it went straight to the bottom and mixed with everything else, after letting it sit, the curaçao was not at all at the top. Something I’m doing wrong?
Never mind I was supposed to mix the vodka and curacao 😭😭

how to put out the fire when drinking it? wouldn't the straw get burnt and wilt?
u2teech The fire will last for less than 30 seconds - put the straw in the drink after enjoying the flame!
I wouldn’t use a plastic straw for this, actually I only use metal straws at home anyway now, you can get some quite snazzy ones and they have short cocktail size ones, most come with a little cleaning tool too.
Is there anything I can use as a substitute for the Bacardi 151?
The reason for using Bacardi is because it's high-proof alcohol - 75.5%. Anything alcohol should work if it is close to 75.5% or flammable.

I suppose, some fruit infused transparent drink, for example citrus vodka

Thank you both, i ended up making it cocktail sized with vodka, tonic, curaçao and milk for decoration, it kinda looks like a jellyfish cocktail

I never tried but try covering the glass with a small plate to block oxygen :)

Well, I will not say it tastes like Peach Tea cocktail, haha.. It’s definitely on the string side :)
How crucial is the 151, only part I struggle to find where I stay
151 proof is 75.5% percentage alcohol so you can find any liquor equivalent to that :)
What milk did you use?

Yup, I didn’t have vodka so used Tequila instead - you can use any 40% alcohol drink, as I mentioned on the subtitle.

Haha, good point. My answer is - I have no idea :p Has been years since I made this vid. If I’m going to make this cocktail again, I will stick to vodka though.

you do not need 151 anything ANY spirit flames period this is such crap .
Any high proof would work but I think the point was more to highlight the fact it Has to be of higher proof, other alcohol does set alight but I'm assuming they use higher proof to maintain the flame better but yah. Would probably still work with something with lower proof. Gonna give this one a go, just like to substitute the peach schnapps
