Made this one yesterday for St. Paddy's Day, me old father said it was one of the best drinks I've made for him (nothing will beat my Improvised French '75 with him, however this one is a hit).
Hi David, I added 60 ml of flat leftover mountain dew to your recipe to create a mild variation in color. Kinda like a his and her margarita. The original one stays blue while the one with mountain dew was a lighter teal blue color. Big hit at house parties.
Love seeing these videos. I started bartending about a year ago. Something I discovered by accident as a part-time hobby, regularly day job is. I'm a therapist and fell in love with doing this part-time. And I want to make bartending a full time thing and therapy part time thing. Plan on definitely doing this for the next 15 years of my life. And my goal is to be a master bar tender at a very nice high-rise. Establishment that overlooks the city, particularly clear water Florida. But bartending has turned into something that I want to make a name for myself. I want my one name on a bottle somewhere. I love your channel, and I will definitely be trying this out. I work at a bar right now, but isn't a very nice restaurant in the restaurant? It's also connected to a pool. So basically two bars at one place. Keep it coming. I want to try and figure out something with passion fruit.
Actually i did the same amounts. I only replaced the 2oz of tequilla with 2.25 - 2-50 of vodka so that the vodkas taste comes out a bit more. And then just sugar for salt. But i think its just what u prefer, ive never been a big fan of tequilla's taste itself so id rather use a substitute
My dude!!!! 🍻 Love your channel brotha! Love the way you break everything down with the OZ/ML I became the family party bartender lol 😆. Keep making these great videos and thank you for sharing with us your skills!
You are correct, Blue Margaritas are GREAT! I have been making them for over 20 years and the simplest and best I have found is equal parts, fresh lime juice, Tequila, Blue Curacao, and Triple Sec. Try it, I'm sure you will enjoy.
The Texas Longhorn restaurant has the best Margarita I have ever tasted. I don’t know it’s name but, it’s kind of dark in color. I like to watch you and, appreciate you teaching me how to make drinks. I also appreciate you posting the ingredients. I wish you would figure out the Margarita I am speaking of and teach me how to make it.
David- yay for margarita Monday’s. I like blue cocktails because it’s one of my favorite colors. I think my favorite for sipping is reposado- I like the bottles from corzo. Hi hats a nice idea to only rim half the glass with salt. Really pretty color- looks like a Caribbean ocean.
It's our first Margarita Monday with ya, happy to be here! When you mentioned only rimming half the glass I shouted "YES DUDE!", having flashbacks to all the fully salted rims I've half cleaned in the past haha!
Hi Andrew, You can use simple syrup. Start with .25 oz/7.5 ml and work your way up to where it works for you. As a rule Agave syrup is sweeter than Simple syrup so ajust in small steps.
Wowza!! David, when you get to creating a cocktail, you go all out!! This Blue Margarita sounds fabulous!! I am going to get some Blue Curacao, pronto, and make myself this lovely beverage - and I am excited to do so!! Tequila is a spirit that I don't know a lot about. I haven't had many cocktails with Tequila - traditionally I focused on lovely wine, and collecting wine, and terrific Gins!! And they are awesome!! But I want to explore more about Tequila based cocktails!! This is a great one to try and I will go and see what Tequilas we have available locally!!
Altos is really delish! But do ppl know that whatever the tequila is, it *HAS TO BE* 100% de agave, so real deal stuff. Otherwise IMHO whatever floats your boat :) Also agave syrup. Damn, game changer in margaritas! 🔥🔥 Good stuff David, once again!
I make a variation of this which I call the Breaking Bad Margarita. Essentially it’s the same drink (same ingredients) but several hours prior to mixing I’ll take either a small Pyrex dish and place 1 cup of water and 1/2-3/4 ounces of Blue Curaçao in it and allow it to freeze. After the drink is made, I’ll take the now frozen water/Blue Curaçao and break it into shards and use the shards as a sort of garnish atop the drink
Happy Margarita Monday 💙 I like blue cocktails because they remind my of Tom Brady's eyes(made money on the super bowl this year). I have a suggestion for Margarita Monday. I would like to see a Rhubarb Margarita with possibly Rhubarb simple syrup and Okanagan Springs Craft Distillery makes a nice Rhubarb Liqueur. Also a strawberry rhubarb margarita might be good too? Thanks David😎😎

I make a blue margarita using a 3,2,1, 1/2 mixture 3 oz lime juice 2 oz tequila 1 oz blue curacao 1/2 Cointreau or grand Marnier. Shake, salt glass poor over iced glass lime wedge in glass.

i’m using the el jimador tequila for this one and when i tell my friends to try it they all say it feels and tastes so strong, is it because of the tequila?
Well basically take everything and multiply it by 35, however you also need to add .5oz/15 ml water per servine to account for dilution. But that is a lot of Margarita. Drink responsibly 2 oz/60 ml Tequila x 35 = 70 oz / 2100 ml 1 oz/30 ml Blue Curacao x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml 1 oz/30 ml Lime Juice x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml .25 oz/7.5 ml Agave Syrup x 35 = 8.75 oz / 262.5 ml .5 oz/15 ml water x 35 = 17.5 oz / 525 ml

@BoozeOnTheRocks The Don Julio (which is expensive) gives a richer taste than the 1800, overall, both delicious.

What are the measurements for a gallon ?
Well basically take everything and multiply it by 35, however you also need to add .5oz/15 ml water per servine to account for dilution. But that is a lot of Margarita. Drink responsibly
2 oz/60 ml Tequila x 35 = 70 oz / 2100 ml
1 oz/30 ml Blue Curacao x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml
1 oz/30 ml Lime Juice x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml
.25 oz/7.5 ml Agave Syrup x 35 = 8.75 oz / 262.5 ml
.5 oz/15 ml water x 35 = 17.5 oz / 525 ml
We had a big group of friends over and they loved it!!! Thank you so much 🎉

@@itsallaboutthecocktail No, just super hung over. Enough that I just said "nope" to blue-coloured & flavoured things for some time after.
