It nearly destroyed the table I use so please bear in mind I did the best I could in this regard. Also when I say amplifier in the video I am referring to Integrated's, not power amplifiers.
Worth a mension as just imagine someone used a couple of strong blokes to place it carefully on their cabinet only to have it collapse ejecting the incredibly expensive amp to the floor. 😰😨😱 btw, I'm kind of shocked and kind of not shocked that the $50,000 AUD integrated amp has zero modern digital inputs and outputs. @@sportsfanivosevic9885I tried the 300, it’s a fantastic amp, but like any other systems, depending on the combinations, cables speakers etc. Just like the 333, the 300 needs some running in time, starts to open up and sound right after a hour or two warm up for that listening session. If you had some brand new speakers, they too need a run time to get the drivers sounding better, typically 200-300 hours with most speakers (suspension might be tight, crossover needs some hours for the caps) etc
Nice one, thanks Terry for the first and long-awaited "official" review of the 333 and comparision to the 300. Great to hear you find the sound more musical while keeping the traditional Gryphon values. Just a small correction, the 300 can have both the phono stage and the DAC at the same time.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Yes, I used the 300 with both for a long time. They have separate sockets to connect into. The phonostage is just a board that sits on the mainboard connected by 2x8 pins while the DAC comes in a big metal housing bolted to the back of the amp. It lives above the phono stage. It's got 4 long pins and 4 separate cables to connect to the mainboard.
I didn't know that thanks for clarifying that, I thought as you only have the one slot for a module you had to choose between them. My bad, I have only seen the 300 with the DAC in it. Sorry about making the mistake.
And it's a nightmare to change the loading or select the cartridge type as it requires opening the amp and taking out the DAC first. Glad to see this can be done via easily accessible dip switches on the 333. Also glad to find out they have improved the phonostage. Not that I have any complaints about the old one. No matter how good my digital gear is (using DCS Rossini Apex with its external clock atm), analogue still sounds better (less restricted) to my ears.
Always fun to watch things like this so far out of my budget. But that said, the '333' with the Audio Solutions speakers seems like a good deal for their money, sound wise. If they come close enough to a €45,000 Audionet Humboldt amplifier + Focal Grande Utopia Evo speakers I once heard, it sure is an interesting option for the richer than me
I think what you experienced here Bill a seemingly exceptional synergistic pairing, you would have that with a lot of speakers with the 333. More so than maybe before based on what they done with it and how it seems to get "the most" out of the speakers. It would be intersting to know at what level of speaker that stops happening but I didn't have access to it.
@@jakobgooijer Class D also can get very hot. It’s the industries answer to saving the planet burning less energy, using less metals, whilst increasing profits, and I don’t buy it. I’ve had non-naimy’s tell me they prefer the overall presentation of a nova vs the more expensive PE. You really need to take care of the front end if you’re going to use class D. Without a doubt the upper frequencies can sound thin and glassy with class D.
@@PMC607 That's true! I have a Hypex Nilai now and had a NAD C298 purifi, both running cool But.....if money wasn't a problem I'd go for the Gryphon 😊
I've heard 333 with willson audio and its probably best integrated amplifier I've heard. However this year on av show There was new Devialet Astra with b&w presented and I must say this is the first class D amplifier I really enjoyed. No coldness or digital harshness whatsoever (biggest surprise of the show since I don't like both class D amps and b&w speakers). I guess the technology is moving forward
I have the 300 to drive my Dynaudio’s. Next month I’m going to listen to the 333 and can’t wait yo experience it. But the double price is going to take some consideration.
Although I still can't afford it, I though it was going to be much more expensive than the price you mentioned. It sounds like a great purchase for those who have the budget.
Terry, thanks for the review. Not many of them out there for this product. Are you able to pair the Diablo 333 with the Arendal THX Monitors that you previously reviewed, or better yet, the Arendal THX towers with the four 8" drivers. Would love to hear your thoughts on how this pairing is if possible. Thanks for your work, and hi from New York City.
Thanks for a great review. However my favorite integrated high end amplifier is Apurna Prélude, which I find provides a more musical and detailed presentation than Gryphon 333.
Great review, as always - I'll give it a listen, but somehow I have a slightly better feeling about the Essence. Need to hear them both against each other - but do you have any thoughts on Essence vs 333? :)
I think the difference between them will be very obvious and you will know which you prefer. The essence is obvious straight away what’s it all about. The 333 takes longer to appreciate it, you appreciate it more when you take it away if that makes sense
The 300 sounds very non-Gryphon so this one is probably more like the rest. I had a 300 for a few months but it really wasn't my cup of tea, the 585.5 was much nicer to my ears. This 333 looks like it's moved the game on wit the best of all worlds. Great review as always Terry
Something I have leant with a number of amps and its something I did here too is consider the DAC's voltage. Chord dacs can have a high voltage on their balanced outputs so I use them in pre amp mode lower the output a little down to -14 ish then you get a much smoother sound. No idea what DAC you was using but this might help people down the line so its worth mentioning.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Good idea I used 3 DACs. An Esoteric N05, a Hugo TT2 (fixed), and the internal Gryphon DAC. I found the 300 jaw dropping on short demos but it wasn't what I would like to live with long term. It was a bit like a hot rod, its great at full throttle but not so good at anything else and after 30-45 minutes would wear me out. Also I could hear its transformer buzz, and the sound when it left class A hardened up, particularly cymbals and transients. I can see why people love the 300, it's a hell of a 'thing'b to own, but I actually think the Diablo 120 is a more resolved amplifier design. I'd be intrigued to hear the 333 but I've just bought a new power amp so no more spending for me!
Jay’s Audio Lab’s comment on the Diablo 300 vs 585: ”Diablo is far better than the 585 Levinson. Not worth comparing. Same thing goes for the momentum integrated that’s collecting dust in my garage. It’s far better than the gryphon Diablo. yes I’ve owned all 3 and this comes from hands on experience. For the money, the 585 is awesome but it is nowhere as muscular sounding as the Diablo. Levinson isn’t known for having dynamics but rather awesome mids. That’s what they are known for”
Good to know it's not current limited. As it can double power every time the resistance ohm falls. Very good sign. Modern class D can do this also The new purifi modolue amp 1ET9040BA can do this. 375 watts into 8, 750 into 4, and 1200 into 2 ohms. You should try getting a pair from Apollon audio in the EU market Terry.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem thanks, I have the first version of the Figaro M and I love them, just curious about the updated version so looking forward to your review!
Its impossible for me to say, I cannot see why it wouldn't be great but its such a huge amount of money so please do make sure you have a good listen before committing.
I had an opportunity to hear their "budget" separates, and I came away mightily impressed. However I always seem to have a problem with a company that every time they release a new product it sounds different then then everything else they make. Basically it means there really isn't a house sound per se, and every time you spend your money You don't know if you're going to like it or not. Although I guess you could argue that since their products are at such a high level, you're guaranteed to love it.😂
Yes but also factor in at each price level the gear has to match to different kinds of speakers and some of the products designs have been around a long time so speakers were different back in the day compared to many modern quite clinical designs. There is always a bigger picture to consider I feel at this level of gear
@@PursuitPerfectSystem You're right, that's a great way to look at it and something to be honest with you I didn't really think about. I've been a long time McIintosh fan and I always think about how regardless of the money you spend with McIntosh their products always have a similar sound regardless. And as you go up the price bracket you just get a more mature sound in my opinion while still retaining all the same Sonic qualities of the lower price stuff.
I agree to some degree but from what I have heard of Mc its far from all the same - the tube stuff sounds different to straight solid state which sounds different to Autoformer MC and so on. So there is variation likely for the same reason - trying to appeal to different people and different systems.
Hi Terry! Did you test any power conditioning on the amps? Isotek Titan or no power cleaning at all? What AWG did the power cable you used have? I’ve listen to the 333 with a 3x3 mm2
Yep I always use the Titan I have tried Gryphon amps on and off the Titan and always think it’s better off the Titan. For the mains cable I have a DIY cable made using Furutech alpha S032N cable and furutech connectors
I have heard it a couple of times. And yes for the price I guess it is okay. It does good structure of sound and has a decent built in DAC. But what I miss is instruments sounding more genuine for this price level, I have heard things costing 1/3 of this that in terms of tonality/quality of instruments and music sounded much better in the tube world, and even somethings in the transistor world. And I feel that it is not even close to the Gryphon Mephisto power amps in terms of naturality/precision/black level/weight/being there at the event (presence) So to me, Gryphon is only a brand I really like and I would keep forever if I had the Mephisto, Apex, Commander. The rest to me, sounds a bit too digital. And hearing the Technics su-r1000 on a set of AN-e speakers, it makes the Diablo 333 sound like plastic, and that it tries too much. Sure su-r1000 sucks on most normal speakers. But on most 97-110db speakers, most Gryphon amps sound negotiated in sound and like their are doing processing type of sound. And yes I know that Gryphon Mephisto is on a whole other price level. But I have to say that personally, I was disappointed with the Diablo 333. Yes at the Munchen 2024 show with the new and weird Audiovector speaker it did sound at least 2x better than normal. But that to me still is a half fake sound based more on really good structure, rather than superb quality of music and instruments. But thanks for this great review, and yes I also have to mention that the Diablo 333 does beat most amps in the world at the same time, just a question of how high a standard of sound you are used to. I listen more for quality of music rather than perfect structure which Gryphon does most times at a very high level. Just play something very normal like Tears for Fears on a CD or some random classic music you would not normally listen to. On a lot of tube gear, it can create a lot of appeal/style/theme/naturality/authentic sound. On a Gryphon, you most times, would not like the quality of recording and would need some expensive external DAC and extreme speaker in order to be satisfied mostly. And that is my mayor problem with this particular model: lack of aesthetics in sound, a bit like PSaudio and normal Mcintosh models: impersonal. So that you just end up listening to a lot of cool HiFi tracks that are very well recorded. And some like that and others don´t. I respect that. So yeah, made for a certain type of listener.
When you talked about the 333 and tube amps it kind of sounded like you were describing more distortion. Nice distortion, even order distortion, but distortion nonetheless. Not sure I want tubiness from a solid state amp at that price, but I've come to the conclusion a complete system needs both solid state and tube amps to do justice to all types of music.
One of the issues I hear from you is that Gryphon has a readily identifiable sound, i.e. colouration, and an amp probably shouldn't, or it should be kept to a minimum. I'm more inclined to Bryston type 'neutrality'
Every product has a sound so none of them can be neutral - they just say they are. Neutrality doesn't matter as its just a point iof view - its bullshit buy what sounds best to you simple as that.
@PursuitPerfectSystem oh ok. I thought it was a newer hifi spec but I understand you're meaning. Thank you and keep up the amazing work! Much respect 🙏
There is a specific meaning to it, I can't recall what it is but when you open thus up and look inside its pretty insane. In a way its a shame it the had the phono stage in it as that blocked a lot of what the camera would have showed.
I don't necessarily intend to purchase something this large and expensive but I still like to be informed about what is the current reference level/state of the art audio equipment and try to get as close as possible within a working budget. Did the £24,500 price include the phono stage? Thanks.
Perhaps you said the key word. Never heard the 333, but heard A LOT of Gryphons. Even back to the time Rune was with Nordost. Relaxed. Gryphon has always been to harsh for me. Therefore I have considered the brand most overhyped.
So when are you getting that waist high shelf Perfect System? Lol............................................. Or are you gonna' keep lifting that heavy thing up from the ground? Lol..... sorry, but it's the definition of insanity. Thanks for showing us the integrated👍 Acid Jazz, Funk & Brass 🔈🔉🔊
Amazing tech, but that much class A/B power in one chassis seems a bit ambitious. I could see if it were class D, but with that much power I would likely want to go with separates as the heat and strain on the power supply with it performing double-duties would presumably not be ideal.
This is Gryphon and it’s a very different beast to any class d I have heard. They major in power supplies and pure class a amps that’s are the biggest in the world so this is all in a days work for them really
Wait for the next review that will be all about the speakers, smaller version of what sorry this amp? This is the small one - like I said at the start this crazy level of hifi
I think the screen is probably the technology that has the most amount of reliability through the technology being so well developed. TFT tech has been around a very long time at this point.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Hopefully your are right. But I imagine anyone who can afford that kind of equipment would just buy something else if it went bad and couldn't be repaired.
In a world where we have CH Precision, Soulution, Vitus and Dartzeel, I wonder who first started propagating the idea that the Diablo 300 was the best integrated amp? I've heard the Diablo 300, and recently the 333. Also heard the new Soulution 331. I much prefer the Soulution. Gryphon sounds coloured in comparison, more like an altered presentation.
Maybe the speakers were colouring the sound and the 300 and Soulution didn't show you that but the 333 did. That happened to me in my testing with different speakers hence the comment.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem I've heard them with Gryphon's own EOS speakers and also Wilson Benesch speakers. The same coloration carries over. You should listen to CH Precision or Soulution. Then you'd understand what neutrality sounds like.
I suppose its depends on what your classing as colouration, I think I know what you are referring to as it took me some getting used to - it might be what I am calling in the review the music harmonics and development of the sound stage - I am finding other amps I am testing now sound like that is missing compared to the 333, as well as the power and big full sound is not there. Its not a price comparable comparison I am doing but the difference is huge. You might see it the other way around and that is totally fine but I wouldn't class the 333 as adding colouration to me its presenting information other solid state amps are not showing you. You might prefer the Essence Pre Power in pure class a as that is really clean and controlled by comparison but still with plenty of typical Gryphon balls .
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Yes I think you understand what I'm referring to. The 333 presents the soundstage in an unnaturally wide fashion (imo), and everything seems to be pulled really far back into the stage, presenting everything in a 'relaxed', almost diffused fashion. I say it sounds unnatural because it's almost like a 'phase inverted' kind of sound. I just can't get used to it and I don't hear this on most high-end amps in the same class. This is just one of the many quirks I heard with the 333. I also think it has a much thicker and fuller sound than what I consider as neutral. There are other quirks that I've not found the right words to describe them yet. Hence i use the words 'altered presentation'
Yes we are on the same page here, I think when you listen to great tube gear, by great my experience is referring to Kondo on the Avantgardes they have a magic that normal solid state doesn't get you at all. Magic is the wrong word to use but there is a something in the layers and density of the sound, its where sweetness and real strong tones and timbre comes from I feel. I think the 333 is trying to give you some of that, or really some of the what the commander and apex gives which is so much tonal colour and fullness of the sound. I find this massively pleasing. I dont think its adding it, it doesn't sound like that to me and I dont know how you could add it. I think you could lose it in chasing a very squeaky clean sound. Clean is good sometimes and I know some manufacturers really chase clean. I dont generally warm to that sound, to me it sounds like HiFi not real sound. But we could debate this forever and its part of the fun of having different choices available or different points of view.
Great review Terry! 1. Have you heard the D’Agostino Progression integrated? If so, how does the Gryphon 300 & 333 compare to the D’Agostino Progression integrated? 2. Would you recommend a Gryphon 300 owner upgrade to the 333 for the sound vs. value? Thanks!
I dont have any direct experience with Dagostino gear sorry I cant say. I also wouldn't like to comment on value because thats personal. Is the 333 a worthy upgrade to the 300, yes it is but the 300 is still a great amp. If someone has the money and is curious this is my suggestion. Dont quick A/B compare. Listen to the 333 for about 4 hours then switch to the 300 and then if you need to back to the 333. You need time to adjust and to fully appreciate the 333 new sound. Its so different initially it catches you off guard. Several hours later you get it and cant get enough of it.
When I was shopping for a new integrated I heard both the Prog int and D300. Two great amps and a matter of taste which you prefer. I decided on the latter.
@@swede5816Thanks for sharing! I currently have the DAG Progression and wish I was able to demo a D300 or D333 at home. Can you share your impressions on the DAG vs. D300? I know it’s all personal preference, but just curious what you liked about both units and why you chose the D300?
gryphon depuis le premier produit un preamp phono double mono a toujours été ce qui se fait de mieux en electronique transistor a mes yeux cela il y a 30 ans dejà
High End linear amplification is obnoxious, in price, size & weight, all in an effort to justify themselves to enthusiastic consumers. Sleek ominous styling, with semiconductor touch screen control. It’s a bias switching amp, goes from Class A to AB at 30w+. To me they sound no better than a Pass Labs model. To me high-end Class D is the future, & gets better every year. I bought an Aavik U300, put an Audio Magic M-1 fuse in it, & achieved my end-game for front-end gear🔊😎.
Yeah I do agree class D is getting better and stands out in some specific areas as being excellent. Then I live with an amp like this and you realise its still doing some things better that class d is not yet doing.
You expect these things to be very pricey while the actual price actually doubles your expections 😅 There seems to be no more limits these days and reading the comments most of you have no objections. I´m clearly working in the wrong business 😊
Have you googled the term Audiophile - An audiophile is someone who is passionate about high-quality sound reproduction, and is enthusiastic about the equipment and quality of recorded sound. Why is it nonsense?
Paralleling output transistors actually reduced crossover distortion in AB amps. It's fairly common in amps over 100 Watts. Also pro/studio gear often measures better and more neutral than 'High-Fidelity' consumer gear.
The devil may well be in the detail.... But thank god that those heat sinks are nicely rounded off because with that weight and the angular styling of the front panel the only place your fingers are going when lifting it will be at the sides. (harsh flashbacks handling Krell of the past!) all the pain of getting one in place is soon forgotten when you realise it's an endgame amp and will likely remain in the system for many many years.... Excellence beyond most amps, whether pre/pow or integrated.... Devine, devilish.... What may the future eventually bring us from Gryphon? 666 😮
Haha that’s what people say when they are afraid to hear the truth. There is better out there than what you have. Lucky I have access to it all so don’t have to fool myself I can listen to it all the time
A Gryphon audiofool, maybe. To use an analogy: why does the latter 10Kg weight weigh 'better' than the former 10Kg weight? Well, how else are they going to peddle more 10Kg weights!!!
A company that respects itself will never insert a cooler into the amplifier. There is no difference between a Technics amplifier and this Gryphon "diablo"
Loads of amplifiers have fans in them from lots of big companies and the 333 is different to the 6 other integrated's I have here ranging from £2k-£16K but none of them are Technics so maybe all Technics will sound the sound. I wouldn't bet my house on it though.
The top needs to be accessible so the owner can add or remove the internal phono stage or dac modules. No point hiding the screws. No one buys this amp touches it, tries to pick it up and then questions the build quality. It’s built like the heaviest tank you have ever tried to pick up.
I cover all different types of products at all price points because if you dont' have experience at this level you have no basis for judgement of products lower in price. That is critical and is overlooked for its extreme importance. While not every products is affordable to you, its equally the same for someone looking to buy this level of HiFi product, who is reviewing products for them?
Thanks for responding responsibly to this silly comment. Let him unsubscribe and don't let others affect your authenticity. There are lots of other channels focusing on bottom barrel electronics.
I'm with you @spuddyl9938. Your comment is the most sensible one here. The idea that you have to spend such silly amounts of money to achieve audio perfection is indicative of folk who truly have lost the plot. It ia audio snobbery! These people need to stop salivating over their preposterously expensive kit and learn how to just enjoy the music instead. Such audiofoolery!!!
How do you know what audio perfection is without spending time with the very best products that are available today? You don’t. Audio perfection does not exist as it’s continually getting better. But you’re right you don’t need to spend this much to be happy. But maybe you will be happier if you did spend this much. It’s not snobbery it’s honesty and facing fact the very best is very expensive
that's a pretty big statement saying it's the best in the world I don't think there is such a thing remember everybody's hearing is different but then it also have to get all the top pre-amplifiers in the world into one room and put them up against this one which I highly doubt you'll be able to do, best for one person can be awful for another.

Boy do I love an awesomely hot and heavy amplifier. I personally don't think a price comparative class-d would compete.
everything that gets hot wears out quickly. After a few Class A amps with beautiful sound and a lot of trouble I gave up.
I have a Hypex Nilai now and had a NAD C298 purifi, both running cool
But.....if money wasn't a problem I'd go for the Gryphon 😊
I've heard 333 with willson audio and its probably best integrated amplifier I've heard.
However this year on av show There was new Devialet Astra with b&w presented and I must say this is the first class D amplifier I really enjoyed. No coldness or digital harshness whatsoever (biggest surprise of the show since I don't like both class D amps and b&w speakers). I guess the technology is moving forward
The 300 is fantastic and I will keep it.
I also have the 300 which I have very much enjoyed for the past 4 years, I’d love to demo the 333 but doubt I would pay the trade in differential…
🙋♂️TERRY, THANKS 🤗 FOR TACKLING THIS WEIGHTY PROBLEM 😅😁💚💚💚
A Magnificent Integrated Amplifier from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you Terry for the perfect presentation of this Diablo 333. Which Audio solutions Figaro is this?
M2
I have the 300 to drive my Dynaudio’s. Next month I’m going to listen to the 333 and can’t wait yo experience it.
But the double price is going to take some consideration.
Don’t judge it too quickly, listen extensively and you will get it for sure :)
Thanks I am pretty sure this amp would drive those speakers easy, it would any I have had here
Thanks for a great review. However my favorite integrated high end amplifier is Apurna Prélude, which I find provides a more musical and detailed presentation than Gryphon 333.
Never heard of that brand before Peter but. if its the one you love more power to you.
The 585.5 is an absolute peach🍻
According to Rune Skov the Antileon and the 120 both have a more colored sound vs the more neutral Diablo 300.
Do you work for apollon?
You could have that amplifier, or you could have an SMSL AO300 and feed Thailand.
Hi nice review, thanks
Are you going to review the audiosolutions M2?
Thanks, yes that is my next project. I need to test them with some different amps
@@PursuitPerfectSystem thanks, I have the first version of the Figaro M and I love them, just curious about the updated version so looking forward to your review!
Thank you for your review! What do you think about Gryphon Diablo 333 & Sonus Faber Amati G5 together?
Its impossible for me to say, I cannot see why it wouldn't be great but its such a huge amount of money so please do make sure you have a good listen before committing.
Great review, but it would be nice to have a comparison to Essence One because of the similar price
essence is about 50% more expensive and there is only so many heavy boxes I can move in one week
Hi, the Dac is the chord on the rose RS 130 right ?
Yes that is what I am using
When you talked about the 333 and tube amps it kind of sounded like you were describing more distortion. Nice distortion, even order distortion, but distortion nonetheless. Not sure I want tubiness from a solid state amp at that price, but I've come to the conclusion a complete system needs both solid state and tube amps to do justice to all types of music.
When is your dovedale review coming?
$34,860.00 CAD$ - Net Weight: 50.6kg / 112lb - Wife won't go for this, ever!
What is military spec and how does that differ?
That was my use of language to describe the build of this amp which is crazy high of everything.
Thanks.
Thanks, that is exactly how I look at it, how close can we get within what we can afford. Sadly no the phono is extra :)

Is this AMP pure class A or no?
Class A/B

@@PursuitPerfectSystem yeah, I’ve seen the whole video but want some more info. Maybe the smaller version would be nice to review
Wait for the next review that will be all about the speakers, smaller version of what sorry this amp? This is the small one - like I said at the start this crazy level of hifi
Griffin or Gry-phon?
Just asking...
So what happens if that touch screen display goes bad in twenty years?
I think the screen is probably the technology that has the most amount of reliability through the technology being so well developed. TFT tech has been around a very long time at this point.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem
Hopefully your are right. But I imagine anyone who can afford that kind of equipment would just buy something else if it went bad and couldn't be repaired.
Also I dare say like all manufacturers they will have a stock of spares
No volume knob?
touch screen or remote
The price hike from 300 to 333 is considerable…
All that power in class A?
Not this one, the Apex does that but this is A/B
@@PursuitPerfectSystem I thought they all class a
I don't understand the point of XLR phono inputs. Unless you're running 50 feet of cable it seems pointless.
The phono stage is fully symmetrical and balanced so a balanced input signal makes most sense

I’m sure the 333 is a better amp for most speakers but it’s also twice the price of the 300 😉
When I was shopping for a new integrated I heard both the Prog int and D300. Two great amps and a matter of taste which you prefer. I decided on the latter.

Looks lovely and probably sounds great too but you lost me as soon as the word ‘audiophile’. A nonsense term if ever there was one!
Have you googled the term Audiophile - An audiophile is someone who is passionate about high-quality sound reproduction, and is enthusiastic about the equipment and quality of recorded sound. Why is it nonsense?
10 transistors per channel and a fan...this looks like a professional amp, not a hi-fi
What’s a professional amp, one that is built be used all day every day and last years - yes this falls into that category
Paralleling output transistors actually reduced crossover distortion in AB amps. It's fairly common in amps over 100 Watts. Also pro/studio gear often measures better and more neutral than 'High-Fidelity' consumer gear.
FRE FREE FREE.. sorry I couldnt help it..

Well, how else are they going to peddle more 10Kg weights!!!
A company that respects itself will never insert a cooler into the amplifier. There is no difference between a Technics amplifier and this Gryphon "diablo"
Loads of amplifiers have fans in them from lots of big companies and the 333 is different to the 6 other integrated's I have here ranging from £2k-£16K but none of them are Technics so maybe all Technics will sound the sound. I wouldn't bet my house on it though.
with that price and all of those visible screw head , hmmm , enclosure very cheap designer
The top needs to be accessible so the owner can add or remove the internal phono stage or dac modules. No point hiding the screws. No one buys this amp touches it, tries to pick it up and then questions the build quality. It’s built like the heaviest tank you have ever tried to pick up.

that's a pretty big statement saying it's the best in the world I don't think there is such a thing remember everybody's hearing is different but then it also have to get all the top pre-amplifiers in the world into one room and put them up against this one which I highly doubt you'll be able to do, best for one person can be awful for another.
