Tank, is your water in Austria 'soft' or 'hard'? And does that make a difference in lathering soaps or creams?

Our water is actually very hard about 17-18 °dH, but I have a water softening system installed in my house and that makes my water very soft.
As for lathering, yes it makes a drastic difference in my experience. Softer water you need less soap and water and less time stirring it to make a good lather. With hard water you need more soap and it takes a bit more effort to get the lather just right. Not that it is very hard to do, you just need to adapt slightly.
