the problem with the LPL soaps is that the lather is really bad , I have now 5 soaps and all with very great scent , but lather is a real negarive point

I just treated myself to the a/s balm - hey, if I don't do it for myself , who's gonna ?! I am a wet shaver, and I think this will be a great addition to my shave den. Thanks for the heads up !

Very well spoken. “Blooming” is a rediculous term, for soaking ones soap, i think. Whole thing was invented by a soap maker, whom wants to sell hes product, anyway he can. Soaking pulls the tallow out of ones soap, for exsample. Not for me!

Love GEMs. Good used ones can be had at a very reasonable price, and while the blades are more expensive, they 3-4X as long as a DE razor blade. My G bar is great.

Where do you get your supplies? Do you order directly from Italian Barber and pay international shipping costs? I can't figure out what keywords to use to find online shaving shops in Europe.

Neulich mal gerechnet. Man schafft es knapp unter 12 Euro. Der Wilkinson Classic kostet mit 5 Klingen 2,95. Palmolive Creme 1,99 und n Pinsel hab ich tatsächlich für 1,99 bekommen. Aftershave von ALDI für 2,50... Also es geht extrem günstig 👍

The stuff is too cheap and so damn slippery not to use! I let it air out for a week outside then tolerate the scent that's left over for the lather. Cool vid!

Klar is really good stuff. One thing that I notice from my Klar body soap, though, is that the skin becomes very friction-y afterwards. This may not be the case with all Klar soaps, but is fairly typical of bar soaps in general. It is a very clean feeling, but at the same time it is something I prefer mostly for my hands. When I used it on my whole body, including the face one time, the shaving soap could not completely make up for the friction.

I agree with you. My experience is that blooming looses the scent.

I have this soap also. Great soap. Cubebe is also very nice. The soap will even be better if you bloom if before shaving.

Mondial Shaving soap contains Courmarin - that's a carcinogen and bad for a human's liver. I avoid that, and cinnamon in products for this reason.
