- Minecraft Easiest Trident Farm 1.20 - AFK Drowned Farm
In this video, I'll show you how to make an easy trident farm in minecraft. This is the simplest design which you can setup in only 10 minutes. It produces around 6-7 tridents per hour as well as nautilus shells, copper ingots and much more. It is really easy to build, and it's very efficient!

Comment "Trident" and I'll heart it! Игры
Works very well . Friendly reminder: The signs get waterlogged every time. Use opened fence gates instead.
wdym watterlogged?
I love you I needed this information
bro u dont know? 💀@@strigostrix8779
If they are put in water sources, then yes. The line of signs as the top of the spawning chamber are good to use as they are not going in water sources
I’m excited to try this out especially after accidentally losing my trident because I threw it before I put riptide on it 🙄😭 (it had mending ont it and I was using a different trident with loyalty on it)
If you switched to fences just remember they will not be able to go in if that stone block is above the main entry because they cant so add another fence there in the middle top
FYI you don't need nearly that much kelp. As long as you have a kelp plant every other block along two walls of this (and up to the same heights as in the video) it will fill all the water with water sources!
Happy building!
Only need an L shape of kelp along the walls to fill all the tank with water block, no need to plant it everywhere!
@@JustCervus don't know what to say, "ell shape : L". Kelp on side A and kelp on side B, up to the level you want your water bloc (refer to the video in that case). When you break the kelp, all the blocs in the tank will be replaced by water BLOC.
Creative mode is your friend, try it, master it and do it in survival!
did exacly as you did but made the water elevator wider cuz they got stuck, my problem is that the spawn rates arent very good. it spawn maybe like 8 drowned then stops. all water under is lit so none can spawn there
On bedrock, use a solid roof. Slabs still let all light through on bedrock.
This farm work in bedrock to?
@@thegreatkng5706 it can. Just depends how spawn proof the area is compared to your farm and simulation distance. 4 simulation distance will yield the best results compared to the rest of the simulation distances. And also, if you use a trident to kill the drowned, make sure it’s all in one chunk or it could break upon reloading the farm.
do not use in ocean unless it is below y level 58 as drowns does not naturally spawn above it
ur joking me rn
Hey man, took the liberty to look on your comment section to make a "FAQ". You can fixate my comment or even copy paste and fixate your own so you can edit later when needed or with any commentary that you find useful! I appreciate a lot this farm, it helped me and my dudes to get our tridents very fast!
Q: It works on 1.20.4 java (up to date on 26DEC2023)/Bedrock?
A: Yes.
Q: Can i use any other solid block?
A: Yes, the smooth stone is just a example!
Q: Can i place the kelp, use bonemeal or wait to grow?
A: Yes, but be careful with the top of the kelp to not disrupt the water flow (3:36)
Thx again, my friend!
does this work if i build it above ocean ruins, or does it have to be river biome?
Must be a river biome @@alexutu505
it has been 9 months but thanks for the trident farm :)
You're welcome!
can i use spruce planks with this?
Best bro ❤
And if you build it a little lower, will it work?
Can I get the shells from this farm. I need a conduit.
Do I need to place all the kelp or bonemeal it, or can I just wait?
It's up to you, both can work!
Nice
so I'm now noticing that it's only sending loot from drowns that come up. what happens to the loot that the drowns at the bottom that die to the magma go? cause it's not coming up for me
found the video a bit hard to follow but good work
How do I stop the signs from getting waterlogged when I put water on the magma blocks?
Make sure the water length is correct.
I have the exact same water length, but the signs are always getting waterlogged.
@@lucaz_2951You have to place the signs below water level not above it.
@@BlazeDude the signs are below the water, but as soon as you place water on the magmablock the signs are getting watterlogged
@@lucaz_2951 Try placing the water 1 block to the side (You'll have to make a 1 block space in the boundary for it), so that the water source block isn't right next to the sign.
This works as a very loose tutorial of how to build a trident farm, but extremely inefficient in the building & half the stuff just doesn't work and needs to be tweaked. I don't know how people upload this stuff and somehow neglect to see if it actually works. Replace the signs up top with fence gates to prevent breaking the collection system, and make the fences at the start of the 'funnel' a block higher... so that they actually work. Oh, and this farm will (mostly) only work at night unless you put a roof over it for darkness.
Do the dimensions have to be exact? like does it have to be 13 by 15
and does it need to be glass? sorry for asking so many questions
Just do exactly what is shown.
@@pumpkinking2324 does it working
I have a question the waterflow broke and its mesed up what can i do??I dont want to re do it!
Break two block from bottom of the farm wall to enter soul sand area and plant 1 kelp on each soul sand block(to stop water elevator) then put dirt as shown in the video remove the water above dirt and put water as shown in video then break dirt and remove kelp and put block from where you removed.
I had the same problem and the waterflow wasn't as expected several times. I finally gave it up, because this farm is way to complicated and I already got several tridents in just building half of it.
Hey, Nice video, thx a lot! But I have a question, can I destroy 1 roll of kelp each time i finish? To save time in haversting more and more kelps
Yes you can!
Thx Man!
can we make in biom lukewarm ocean??
No only river biome!
i have made it to near completion but ive noticed the water level is to high can i fix that if the farm has already been built past breaking the kelp
Yes you can level it.
@@BlazeDude I have finished the farm but its still not spawning any the biome is river are there any frequent issues i could have made
@@theslayer7134 Make sure the Y level is correct.
I am unable to plant kelp that much can you give alternate option to make bubble elevator
It is the only way
First plant kelp on the row where lower water level starts then plant kelp diagonally on the upper side this will fill it up. Remove kelp from upper side and plant on lower side diagonally be careful on the lower side also use shear the uppermost kelp of each column to stop growth otherwise it will mess up.
I can’t get the kelp to stop overflowing the water and the kelp doesn’t grow super fast
Use shear when you place a row of kelp and also you can put bone meal on it to grow faster.
@@BlazeDude so literally place on the soul sand and the second I place it, shear it?
@@toxiczach35 Put bone meal on bottom kelp not soul sand.
The drowned get stuck before the soul sand elevator idk like they dont get pushed into it
Just wait for sometime and they will.
@@BlazeDude yea I see now how they slowing push eachother thanks a lot :)
Good farm
does it work in an ocean biome?
They spawn at higher rates in rivers and dripstone caves than in ocean biomes.
The signs keep water logging. The farm is the correct dimension. How do I prevent this?
Make sure the water length is correct.
Me too my signs keep water logging
@@xotic7618 Try placing the water 1 block to the side (You'll have to make a 1 block space in the boundary for it), so that the water source block isn't right next to the sign.
Yes, the signs get waterlogged every time. Use opened fence gates instead. Works very well.
Does it work in geyser Minecraft (bedrock and Java players in one server)
Yes
Does this work on java?
Also can the farm use like netherrack or cobble stone?
Yes and you can use any solid block.
@@BlazeDude okay thx bro!
@@BlazeDude yo bro it work I use netherack even on the Killin chamber the farm was kinda easy to build but the kelp take me 2 days to do it
My only question is does this farm work on the latest java edition?
Yes of course!
@@BlazeDudeOk thank you!
I have a question, is it necessary to use smooth stone? Can I use normal stone?
Yes you can!
I thank you
Why aren’t drowned spawning? It’s above a lake exact Y cords
Light up the ground level underneath!
What render distance is best.
8-12

My drowned seems to get stuck before going to the elevator, is there any solutions to that? Also the spawn rate of the drowneds seems a bit lower than yours in the video. How to solve that?
same that keeps happening to me i just built my farm
Same. There’s certain times where I get a steady flow of a few drowned every minute. And then certain times where there isn’t much coming up at all. I know about them spawning more at night time. But there are some nights where the rates are slower than usual
1.16.5 that is working ?
can i use endstone
Yes
A lot of the drowned seem to get stuck before getting on the glass elevator. It's working even with some of them despawning down after getting stuck around the ice or the front gate. Any idea how I can tweak it to address this issue?
Also I'm playing with a mod that allows me to pick up mob spawners and I was thinking of adding a zombie and a skeleton spawner right on top of where the drowned surface. Do you think this would hurt the spawn rate of the drowned?
No I don't think so!
How many drowned humans are summoned in an hour
does height matters?
Yes
hey bro, this works in 1.20.1? thank you!
Yes it does!
Is it possible to make it fully automatic?
Yes place campfire under them and hoppers under campfire not it's automatic
@@DocumentStorage would it still give tridents then
The rare loots (tridents and nautilus shells) are pretty hard to get so people tend to use a sword with Looting III, but you can still use a campfire or something similar to kill the mobs and put a hopper under it ☺
I can't tell which side it means by "this side"
Oh, never mind I think I got it.
Does it need to be smooth stone?
Any block you like!
@@BlazeDude Thanks!
@@BlazeDude Nice, I'ma use sponge blocks!
What side is "this side" ??
does it works on TLauncher?
Yes

Trident :D
bruh why so much kelp. That's inefficient to the point of being hurtful.
Water source automatically generate between 2 other sources, as long as they are above a solid block of an other water source. So really, you only need to make pillars of kelp every 2 blocks along 2 perpendicular walls, and the whole thing will just fill itself with water sources.
Here, I just reduced the (insane) kelp requirement by 90% for ya
Use bonemeal to grow up a row of kelp when that's done go up and shear the tip of the kelp that way the kelp won't ruin the water source, and yes you can also use the kelp bordering method if you have less amount of kelp.
it work in deep ocean?
No
Does it work in 1.20.4
Yes
Can it be made on a smaller scale ?
Yes
Does it work on mobile or not?
No
This was built on pc but you can try it on mobile as well.
It works bro

for pocket edition?
Idk that are you made something wrong or me I did 5 trident farms and evert of them are not working what did i made wrong??
