I love the way he calmly says, “...to please remember that I am your Watcher.” His heart and his dedication was so evident in his voice. “Oh, knocking things over, driving away business. You know, the usual.” Oh bless his heart, I adore him. Nice (brief) scene with Fred and the parallel of Lilah in his soul. ❤️ You darling! You included some of him and Faith! And YES at "heart and dedication", a lot of people hate on Wes during his Btvs era but I am so not down with that, because even back then it is obvious to me that all he wanted to do was help and was ALWAYS dedicated to the fight for good. Omg wow someone who appreciates Virginia lol yeah I honestly enjoy ALL of Wesley's dynamics (except ONE, u know which one lol) and his relationship with Virginia is no different, no one ever talks about it/her but I actually liked her character and I thought she and Wes were sweet. Not meant to be together in the long run ofc, but good for what it was, you know? Little bit of a ramble but I don't think I've actually talked about that dynamic with anyone before lol!

I loved the parallel with him and the box (lol that sounds weird) for "let down time after time" with him being cast out of the hotel/AI both times! You did the same thing with your SV vid the way you paralleled ships like here the way you showed Wesley's crush on Cordy and then his feelings for Fred. You do a great job of showing evolution and the way our feelings and lives change, and I kind of felt like those moments showed how desperate Wesley is to be loved, but that his insecurities get in the way, and he seeks out relationships subconsciously that he knows cannot work (because of course he doesn't think he deserves love). THE FEELS, MAN. I just about died when you transitioned from the line he says to Illyria about still being surprised to Lilah literally surprising him!! Aaaaaahhhhh!!!! Aaaww "the ones who try again" when he goes to Buffy even after the Faith mess and her quitting the council, because he genuinely wants to do what is right! I love that moment and her face there. I wish we could have gotten some Buffy/Wes interaction post season 3 of Ats! I wonder what her reaction to his transformation would have been! Now I want an Ats s5 fanfic where Buffy comes to LA to get Spike and meets Wes again (and yes, I know what your response to this will be: "WRITE IT!!!") haha but I digress... Spoiler Alert (Just in case) I remember how, despite his flaws and quirks, I really liked Wesley in Season 3 of Buffy. Because _two moments/lines_ made me really like the character: "I want to help..." I never knew he was also in Angel so even as a side character to Buffy, I still liked him a lot. Really goes to show you how good these shows were when even the side characters are that likeable
