12 minutes in. Byrd is a shotmaker for sure. The only glaring issues I see are 1) he's too reliant on his off hand forearm to create space. And he does it during the gather of his drives, which tends to lead to awkward, last-second, one-handed attempts at the rim. He uses that forearm A LOT. And 2) his stamina/energy conservation. He seems visibly winded compared to Burke in this first half.

Hi Scotty and Friga, Here's my plea for Burke. Rarely a commenter but I am a huge TNC fan who has been engaging with youtube basketball since the days of park takeovers and AJ fucking Lapray. I am also from the UK. The game is growing in popularity here, but its not a mainstream community. That means i have always been watching for a love of good basketball and good personalities, not because its part of my social circle. I say that to give context, because it means I've been watching many of these guys for yearssss, but i have also long waited for this more organised competitive forum and am not sad to say goodbye to the cornier aspects of youtube bball (creator league, gio wise, people randomly yelling 'whats the chat saying' in the middle of a game that goes on your new professional record smh) so thank you for that! Having said all that, here's my thinking on why Burke should be on the PPV billing. Outside of Friga (whose contributions to the direction of this community stand out in a way that puts him in a completely different category for me), Burke is probably my favorite player on the roster right now. He carries himself with likeable humility (even while getting probably the worst whistle of anyone out there on a consistent basis) and the quiet confidence of a man who is outworking everyone behind the scenes. You can tell he takes this opportunity seriously as a basketball player, not as a route into social media. In a way, people like himself and Malik represent where TNC is headed in this space; a professional avenue for dead-serious hoopers who think of this as a basketball career not a brand. I also think it's important to say that his performances in Warzone (alongside those of Lat and Caleb) have been/ will be important to cementing that wing of the channel. The skill on show from those guys and others really carried the engagement in those seasons which opens up the door to the inter-city franchise structure that I'm sure you envision. Warzone becoming viable relieves the burden on the highest profile guys to participate in every series; keeping matchups fresh and sought after, giving the players time to actually work on their games between events and adding another revenue stream for TNC to reinvest. Burke deserves a huge amount of credit for that, he showed up and delivered incredible performances to help get the Warzone entity off the ground even when other team mates/ games lacked energy. This is a great chance to show everyone that the feeder system/ proving ground of city visits and warzone can actually open doors all the way to the top of TNC for players who make dedicated contributions and display great skill. By pushing guys like Burke and Lat into the center stage, you'll also create more interest for the next warzone, as fans can tune in hoping that another diamond will be found. If none of them are ever allowed to break through, it could take on G-League (i.e. backup content) energy and fan engagement will diminish. All of that and I haven't even mentioned his game yet. Arguably the most fluid and creative mix of ball handling, body control, footwork and shot-making on the scene whilst being a top-end athlete for his size. It gets pretty freaky when Burke goes n his Bag .... Alongside an unshakable in-game mentality, hes a problem for anyone. Any and all losses have still been strong performances which tells you he won't fold into a blow-out if things aren't going well early. Truthfully the same cannot be said for some other guys under consideration (Scar and Iso Tae come to mind), and that will be worth considering as its the very first PPV and any blowouts will be easy fodder for lame people saying all this should be free. Anyway, that is all. Put Burke in the PPV :)
