My dad thinks the music industry is all fortune and a bit marketing, he also says that promoters will walk over to you if you make good music, and I thought that was slightly cap, I believe in investment...
Gotcha thanks for watching. This channel is geared towards record producers (studio) so we don’t cross path with promoters very often. That is the live performance side of the business.
What are your thoughts on separating a personal project (ive already relased a bunch of music on my own for example) from lets say, the actual business (mixing & mastering for other people, production work etc)? I really wanna start doing things and working with people but I dont know if I should build a separate profile and stuff like that. Thanks in advance.
Just needs to be clear who you are and what you do when you're reaching out to connect with artists. If your artist profile does that then cool. If it doesn't then may want to have a separate one.
