Man this car is constantly getting repaired.
LOL. That's right. I have done many videos on it. I have told the customer to get rid of the vehicle many years ago, but unfortunately they still want to keep it as they think it is better to keep fixing this one than to buy a new one. I just tell the customer the truth, but many will not listen to me. Especially after I finished the timing belt service I found out that the clutch was slipping and noted to the customer they need to do a clutch as soon as possible and they were already aware of the situation before that and I was not notified about it until I finished the repairs. Thanks for noticing.
Any tips getting getting the cable disconnected from behind the control knobs?
I think you could use a flat head screw driver or something. Usually it should come off easily just by lifting up on the cable itself carefully.
@@moosemobileautorepair thank you for your reply. I had tried that with the cable for the blend door and tore up the plastic a bit. Hoping that the mode cable goes a bit smoother but worried it’ll be a pain. The joys of car repairs :)
Have a great day! Thanks for the video!!
No problem. From what I know those cables usually slide in and slide out as well and then you could lift them up to remove. There is a groove where it slides in/out.
The thing with replacing the old with a new cable is that the "round loop" needs to be disconnected first and reconnected LAST but why ? It is because with the loop still loose, you can slide the cable housing in and out of the plastic grooves after you connect the new one, or before you remove the old ond from the climate control - that part behind the knobs.
