I’m a pulmonology nurse and it is advised for you get up and moving. Movement promotes coughing which helps the lungs expel the excess mucus. However, you do have to finding a happy medium between movement and rest, for example, 30 minutes of movement and 30 minutes of rest, but sit and rest and don’t push for extra if you are short of breath. Rest and get back to it later. Fresh air is also good for you, but if it’s very cold and/or windy, make sure to cover your mouth with a scarf, which will help warm the air before it gets to the lungs. Cold air does not make anybody “sick”, but it could irritate the lungs, especially if you have asthma. Drink, drink, drink and eat warm healthy food. Hoping for a full recovery and take all the time you need. ❤
As someone who worked almost 50 yrs as a Nursing Assistant/Med passer, i can tell you that you CAN have a relapse with pneumonia! PLEASE take it slow and be gentle with yourself honey😢 You still sound pretty short of breath Your decorations are GORGEOUS Becky!! So festive! Merry Merry Christmas to you and everyone here!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Yes I thought the same listening to her breathing and finding it exhausting to put the tree up, indicates to me, time to take a few more days to rest. ❤ your tree is beautiful and I can just imagine your little family spending time together there with a hot drink all snuggled up and a bedtime story
Yea my husband is into Christmas decorating this year! He suffers from PTSD from being in Vietnam and Christmas is usually hard for him so i usually try to do very minimal decorating but this year he is wanting to celebrate. I love this man❤❤❤
Hang on to him tight. My husband didn’t suffer from PTSD from being in Vietnam but he was exposed to Agent Orange and the ailments attributed to it started showing up about 15 years ago. I lost him in May so this will be my first Christmas without him.
Hi sweet one! I’m 63 now, but I have a story that happened when I was 30. I was living in Germany with my military husband and our 1 yr old. I was hospitalized from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas Eve. No family and very few friends to speak of. Christmas can be celebrated any day you choose, with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The 3 of us were together and it was a very special time. We don’t compare from one year to the next. Some years are more lavish and some are sparse. Our now 37 year old looks back fondly on each and every celebration. ❤
@@lisapop5219 I’m really sorry to hear this. It’s not easy having a military spouse. I was so determined to be home on Christmas Eve, as I’m sure you were. For me, it was a long time ago and I don’t think about it much anymore. Becky’s story reminded me how we all think Christmas has to look like a photo shoot in a magazine. It’s good to remember that sometimes simple is better. Merry Christmas to you and yours. I hope you are well for this Christmas.
@@lestalekale1590 oh, bless you. My husband served for 27 years. Some years are just really difficult, but others were actually fun. Initially, I did not attempt to make friends with the other wives, knowing it would be a short term friendship. What a mistake! Loneliness is a terrible burden. I hope things get easier for you. Please know that you are not alone in this. ❤️
pillow COVERS are great for all seasons. I have a few different seasonal themes for a fun change. Bought pillow inserts and then change out the COVER only. Great idea!
I use covers also for every season. I have Summer / Fall and Winter that I rotate out. Using the same pillows so storage for just the covers is minimal.
I agree Kathystarnes! I also had pneumonia recently and it takes a while to recover! Becky, you are huffing and puffing! Hang in there, it will take a while so take it easy! (I too still huff and puff!)❤
Becky, although poinsettias are NOT poisonous, they can make your dogs or little guy sick if eaten. Wishing you all all safe holiday and glad you're feeling better.

If it makes your heart sing, you’re not hurting anyone and your conscious is clear…do what makes you happy!!!! Golly!!! It’s Christmas!!! Be cheerful and spread the love!!!! Dearest Becky…please slow down and give yourself time to get well. I know it’s so hard not to do all the things when your mind is telling you to get up and go!!! Much love to you and your sweet little Acre Homestead family!!!❤❤❤❤
Please take care Becky, your lungs need time to recover from the pneumonia. Your decorating looks lovely and ready for Christmas. Slow down honey and look after yourself and Josh, we’ll be here once you’re well 💖🎄💖
Becky, I forgot what your living room looked liked! It was great seeing the furniture as you set up your Christmas decorations. Will you be doing a full house tour next year? I would lovr to see the full living room and the bathroom you decorated that you took us along shopping for.
Back when I decorated for Christmas I ordered a centerpiece from a florist for my dining room table. It was so well done that I could use it again the next year. I actually was able to use parts of it for several Christmas’s. I also bought clusters of jingle bells that I placed on my front and back door handles. They were something I actually forgot to put away after Christmas and they are still hanging on my door knobs 30 years later😂😂😂😂
❤ you’re still sounding “winded” with minimal exertion. Relax and recuperate. Pneumonia is not nice nor is it forgiving if it relapses. Steam and deep breathing and coughing is good in moderation along with drinking plenty of water and juice. Rest/sleep does wonders too 😊 I know I/we want you to have a wonderful Christmas. Take it slow and steady.
I like the minimalist decor, but having a child at home also I always incorporate color and have a tree just for my grandson to decorate as he pleases and add the color and textures that pleases him. We have four trees and everyone's aesthetic is incorporated into each room of the house. I just like you enjoy a monochrome scheme but appreciate everyone's input. It makes our home so fun!!
That was exactly my thought, too! I hope she tries it. Even just holding up something that color to the tree will show how it will make those cinnamon applesauce ornaments stand out.
Oh Becky you have just taken me back to my childhood 🎄 My Mum is German and we had an angel chime going every year. You need to light the candles 🕯️ and listen to the beautiful chimes ♥️🎄
I had to grin a little when you said the Christmas ball ornaments were antique! I have boxes of them from through the years of decorating. I have some from my Mama from the 50's and 60's that have survived the moves around the country. In another life I put up and fully decorated with four, sometimes 5 Christmas trees, a Department 56 snow village, random, pillows and quilts. I decorated from the front to the back of my home and loved it so much. Due to illness I was unable to even put up a Christmas tree this year. It's the first time in 69 years that there wasn't a tree in my home.😢 It was sort of sad, and really didn't even feel like Christmas. I am enjoying watching you decorate your lovely home. ❤
I grew up with that candle chime too. When you light the candles the hot air turns the fan blade and as the pieces spin they ring the bells. Fond childhood memories 😊.
Becky, could you do a tour of your entryway living room and sun room. I love the way you have set up and decorated these areas, and I love the pillow storage container and the baskets I saw in the entryway.. I love your content. Thank you for sharing your cooking, gardening, and your parents. I also love your dads channel and your mother in laws channel. Thank you again
Idea: what do you think about hydraulic hinges for your built in storage bench? That way the lid would stay open as you’re looking around in there:-). Also- baskets or bags aimilar to what you use in the freezer might allow easy organizing and access to your tables and items…. Btw, the Christmas tree is wonderful!
You did A LOT today!!! Give yourself a rest and take it easy! Pneumonia is not something to mess around with. We will be here when you're healthy. Take this time to recover properly and be with your family. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the loves in your life.
What a fantastic ability you have in all the accomplishments that you undertake and all is just wonderfully subtle and calmingly beautiful. You have such a gift and I thank you for sharing and I wish…..For you and your family friends and viewers a peaceful and magical Christmas holiday.
I’m lying in bed sick, watching you Becky as I do every night, and I too am so behind with my decs this year! I’m normally done on the 1st, yesterday I only had the energy to put the tree. I’m hoping this weekend, I’ll be able to put some lights and balls on it 🤞🏻 glad you’re feeling better x
I love your simple decorating style!!! Best of all I love how you made your decorating peaceful and calm. Please rest up and take it easy and not over do.
Becky, I loved today's video! ❤️ I lost my mom in October, and needless to say holiday's are hard. The Angel candle is something my mom always had. Thank you for sharing that with your friends. I've got mine ordered. Blessings 💕
I can’t believe it’s been four Christmas that we have enjoyed sharing with you. Time goes so fast. Thank you for sharing your home and family traditions with us!!!
Yeah, what a great treat to have you back again today!! Just a suggestion but to let you know, NO Batteries shouldn’t be left in your light sets. They will bleed and rust in time. You can add greenery with your gold balls.
I absolutely love the views from your family/living room!!!!! Love how cozy it looks. Also please rest up mama because you sound breathless and we love you and need more videos so take time to rest we can wait!!!
Becky you still sound unwell and all your followers will be here when your better so take more time if you need not worth getting sick again when your not fully better rest and look after yourself
I can’t be the only one that watches Becky’s videos for inspiration. I am always a nest fluffing organizational machine for days after watching one of her videos. ❤❤❤❤
My thoughts mirror most of these comments, DON'T OVERDUE IT! Make time for a nap every day. You really don't want to relapse. The bells, what about twinning through your door wreath? I don't have my indoor decorations up yet. Been a lot of Heath stuff with family. It happens. Time with family will be the best! Take care. 🎀🐸🎄🎀
I love a very minimal tree also. There so pretty on their own with the lights. I just add a few large velvet poinsettia and that's it. Your home looks beautiful.
Your decorating skills are inspirational. I would say this is understated elegance and I love it! Your greatest tip is using the natural flowers and greenery, nothing to store and special because it won’t last forever. Good plan!!!!
Becky, so happy to hear that you are feeling better. Love your Christmas decorations. Dinner looks so delicious.❤ Please take care and get lots of rest.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️.
You can always go to the Dollar tree. They have all kinds of baskets that you can store that stuff in your window seat and be able to stack it in there nicely and keep it organized.! Kind of like you do with your freezers😊
Hi Becky Christmas has come and gone and I’m playing catch up with your videos. So glad you are feeling better. No fun being sick especially during the holidays. Your decor is beautiful. Love the tree🎄🎄 Perfect simple touches. Beautiful. Continue to heal and see you next time❤
Becky, on your seat bench lids, have your husband cut a couple wooden pieces that fit underneath the lids when you open them. That will keep them open so you don't have to use your shoulder to hold it open. Super easy and very convenient. I just keep the wooden pieces inside the bench seat when I'm not using them to hold the lids open. If you have a Jenga game, see if a couple of those fit.
Hi Becky, I would probably be your worst nightmare!! A group of my friends have an annual tree judging party. This year is our 40th year doing this. That bin you have for your ornaments, well I have at least 10 of them just for Christmas decorations. I change my tree every year. My 7 foot tree has 4000 lights, yes not a misprint. My friend and I strung the lights 4 years ago and I took us 16 hours just to put the lights on. My neighbours say it glows before you end the corner, we are on a corner lot. I love doing this every year and love Christmas. May you have a wonderful Holiday Season.🎄🎄🎁🎁
I’ve had pneumonia twice and recovery is slow. Keep up resting more than usual. ❤️U2 the decorating. The new bows are perfect. I remember your tree from the last house with just the lights and big bow and it was lovely. Like you I enjoy the lights and ambiance. 😊
You know what? I love the minimalistic look of your Christmas tree. It is just right. Beautiful. I had knee surgery and I was thinking that decorating my big tree was going to be too much this year. But I hadn't considered keeping it simple. With your example, maybe I will still pull it out. It doesn't have to be as complicated as I usually make it. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thankful your feeling better Try not to over do it I know your family is grateful to have you feeling better too! Happy Holidays to you & family I know your excited that your Sissy will be therecto help & renjoy the holidays what a beautiful time of the year Enjoy& take it easy God bless
❤so glad you are feeling better now, still need the rest since pneumonia is a long recovery..house looks adorable and the minimal look is very sweet looking..cant wait for more videos..take care 😊🥰❣
I had the beautiful Angel chimes for many, many years. Somewhere, some time it disappeared. 😢. I didn’t have the heart to replace it but enjoy seeing you display it year after year. Merry Christmas Acre Family! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🙏 Love the family drawing? behind the wooden bowl.
I like the simplicity of your decorations. Becky always remember u don't always have 2 be the host 2 everyone. Take care of yourself don't do 2 much at 1 time. Our body lets us know when it's tired and needs rest.
Glad you are feeling better, just don't rush it honey, we've all had times in life that either we were sick or another life happening was more important. One day your little one will have all kinds of cute things for you to decorate and put on the tree, I still have some things my kids made for me when they were little. Pumpkin freeze dried is a great treat for the dog biscuits also, I make my dogs food that I use pumpkin in their food as well.
I recently read an article about home design trends that interior decorators were SO happy were on their way out of style, and one was the "chopping" of pillows..so I had to giggle watching you vigorously chopping your pillows! However, I'm of the mind that if YOU like it then who really cares what interior decorators think! They don't live in your house!😃
I'm going to be opposite from everyone on telling Becky... I totally understand needing to get out and do something after being sick for so long. You know yourself and your body. You know to be careful. You stated several times that you weren't going to push yourself too hard. You do you.
I love your tree collar. I bought one this year too. I did notice it does take up more room, but it's so pretty. I didn't get Christmas pillows either. I went with pillow covers. They take up less room when you put them away. I just put them on the pillows I already had on the couch. I was really into the brand My Texas house at Walmart this year. They had so many beautiful things. I even bought Christmas bedding for my bedroom at a very affordable price, and all of it is absolutely beautiful.
Becky your home looks lovely with your decor for Christmas.. you have given me a fee ideas thank you! Please take care of yourself and especially for your little guy!! Moms are so important in their little life ! ❤ Take Care
I have the same candle holder. Mine is from my great aunt so really old. A family tradition for us as well. We also do a bowl of ornaments but we mix with pine cones that my kids collected over the years. Always bring back memories of past hikes and such. Have a Merry Christmas!
Feel better Becky!!! always nice to stop by & enjoy your videos!! but yes rest up over the weekend & don't over do it.. Take some breaks yourself to during your busy family week has well . Love watching & Merry Christmas to you all ..
I love the tree baskets. I didn’t know there was controversy concerning them. Much better than a skirt and takes up a lot less room in my opinion. Everything looks beautiful!❤
Becky, watching this, I remember how much you liked having people over to celebrate events or just because. One of our favorite appetizers during holidays is hot pepper jelly over a block of cream cheese and this made me think of you. You should definitely try making hot pepper jelly next year to enjoy this appetizer for your holidays. Take care and God bless.
I totally understand about a lot & we're not a military family, but I do thank you for your sevice. But one Christmas several years ago, we didn't have a lot, but i tried my best, but it just wasn't as I planned it. We got up Christmas morning & my husband & I got dress, had some coffee, then he gave out our 2or3 gifts each 1 might have been for both of us. Anyway he told me that was 1 of the best Christmas's we ever had & I had to agree! So it's not important to have everything & have all the fabulous decorations etc. It's you & your spouse & family! So take care! Thanks for sharing your tree decorating & stories! ❤️😉🫂🐾🎄🎅🏻🤶🏻🌬☃️❄️✨️
Hi Becky Josh and all, I love the minimalist decor in your house, mines not minimalist, kinda wish it was.. It makes sense to let what gives you the most joy, shine. I think this is the first time we’ve seen your living room. Such a beautiful job with the layout and the decor pieces you have are stunning l! ❤
Loved this fresh video. The new year is coming and will be sweeping my subscriptions. The new year will bring more relatable , realistic family channels. I wish you well, it’s been a lovely 2 years of spending time with you.
Lovely decor. Very simple and elegant. I think next year you could try putting reefs on some of the windows and the backdoor in the kitchen. I think it would look cute from outside and inside!

Becky you still sound unwell and all your followers will be here when your better so take more time if you need not worth getting sick again when your not fully better rest and look after yourself
I love being in the kitchen with you, but I really enjoyed seeing more of your house and the decorations. You have a beautiful home!
So nice to see the dogs! Please take care of yourself ❤
I can’t be the only one that watches Becky’s videos for inspiration. I am always a nest fluffing organizational machine for days after watching one of her videos. ❤❤❤❤
I am 63 years old, I remember an Angel Candle. My uncle that was stationed in Germany sent one to all his brothers and sisters
So glad to see you on the mend! Take your time; we aren't going anywhere. Merry Christmas!
Take care. 🎀🐸🎄🎀
I think your bells would be pretty hanging from your door wreath.everything is beautiful. Merry Christmas so glad you are feeling better ❤
My sister has a fun tradition of putting all Christmas cards they receive in a large bowl- she fans them out which is very lovely
Grabs snacks, hot tea, and warm blanket for Becky Time 😊
I love a very minimal tree also.
I love how the dough ornaments are a pretty pop of brown on the tree! They look nice with the gold bows! 🥰
I like the tree basket. 😊
Yes, it goes great with the rest of her decor.
Becky it was nice to see you out of the kitchen and doing something else.
My favorite part of Christmas decorations is the lights too!
I absolutely love how you furnished your living room. Beautiful. You have excellent taste.
Becky, this dinner looks so good. I can’t wait to make this 😋Bless your heart, you can tell you still don’t sound like yourself. Please rest. ❤❤
Hi Becky Christmas has come and gone and I’m playing catch up with your videos. So glad you are feeling better. No fun being sick especially during the holidays. Your decor is beautiful. Love the tree🎄🎄 Perfect simple touches. Beautiful. Continue to heal and see you next time❤
Friend I’m so glad you felt comfortable enough with us that you shared your tree decorating! I enjoyed seeing the room you share with your family.
I'm so glad you've feeling better. 🥰 Your decorations are so pretty ❤️
🎄😳😲🎄. Dedication!
I’ve had pneumonia twice and recovery is slow. Keep up resting more than usual. ❤️U2 the decorating. The new bows are perfect. I remember your tree from the last house with just the lights and big bow and it was lovely. Like you I enjoy the lights and ambiance. 😊
I love how you decorated your home! We always leave our Christmas decor up til the second week of January. Then we have winter decor out til spring!!
Christmas is such a beautiful season. So glad you’re up and better. Your decorating looks great!
You can tuck a few sprigs of greenery (from some pine trees) in the bowl of ornaments….that’ll make the ornaments pop!!!
Take care of yourself! We appreciate all that you do, Becky!
I have one of those tree baskets. Wicker is one of my favorite things! Your home is lovely. Thank you for sharing your Christmas decorating!!
I like that Josh brought the tree up in sections. My husband hauled the whole huge box up from basement and it weighs a ton! Such pretty decorations 😊
I'm going to be opposite from everyone on telling Becky... I totally understand needing to get out and do something after being sick for so long. You know yourself and your body. You know to be careful. You stated several times that you weren't going to push yourself too hard. You do you.
Becky, your decorations turned out so pretty. Thank you for sharing
Becky, I really enjoy your show. I hope you rest and feel better my friend! ❤❤❤
So nice Becky! So glad you are on the mend!
laundry will wait. take care and glad you're back.
Love watching your videos and cooking with your mum. Hope you’re a lot better!! And getting into the Xmas spirit now. Hello from uk 🇬🇧
Absolutely Beautiful, Merry Christmas 🎄 2024🎄
Hi Becky, I hope you are feeling much better xx
Becky your home looks lovely with your decor for Christmas.. you have given me a fee ideas thank you!
Please take care of yourself and especially for your little guy!! Moms are so important in their little life ! ❤ Take Care
I have the same candle holder. Mine is from my great aunt so really old. A family tradition for us as well. We also do a bowl of ornaments but we mix with pine cones that my kids collected over the years. Always bring back memories of past hikes and such. Have a Merry Christmas!
We had the identical angel chimes (2 sets) on our table growing up. Such sweet memories.
You're decorating is simply beautiful in you're home Becky... Can't wait to make the chicken pasta dinner. ❤❤❤
Now you know Becky you really need a kitchen tree also , maybe with all your homemade ornaments 😉😉😉❤️
Love those stockings!!! I just love those chunky knots! I'm sure little mister acre is loving that tree this year. Glad that you are feeling better.
Hi Becky Josh and all,
I love the minimalist decor in your house, mines not minimalist, kinda wish it was..
I am glad that you are feeling much better, to enjoy the Christmas with your family and friends 🙏🙏🙏🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🤞🤞🤞💐💐💐✝️✝️✝️
Lovely decor. Very simple and elegant.
I think next year you could try putting reefs on some of the windows and the backdoor in the kitchen. I think it would look cute from outside and inside!
