Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and good wishes! I really felt supported and loved! I promise I took two full weeks to rest and get better and even still I am taking it very slow to make sure I make a full recovery! Josh has been amazing and picked up so much slack and he took very good care of me while I was sick. It felt really good on this shopping and decorating day to do something "normal." Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for being so kind and supportive - Becky
A big hug to Josh for taking such good care of you. Please go slow until you are fully recovered. I know you will want to be in full cooking mode for the holidays but rest as much as you can.
So happy you're feeling better... I have to say I quit decorating for Christmas after my sister passed away 6 years ago... my mom passed over 25yrs ago and she was my inspiration for Christmas... I have a 42yr old man child that still believes in Santa 🎅 but until watching this, you doing your Christmas shopping is the 1st time I've even felt my heart have feelings of the holidays. So a big,THANK YOU for bringing my feelings of the holidays back in my heart...
Hope your Christmas this year will be different for you. Maybe doing the natural and live decorations like Becky would be a great start to bring back a bit of sparkle to your life. I feel your mum and sister will be smiling down on you and guiding you this season. Merry Christmas from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I have a women child how still believe in santa not stopped talking about him but when covid hit uk l just lost my love for Christmas only this year found it again but am having to do everything with one hand at the moment having to ask women child to help me with small jobs because l broke my right collar bone still healing don't see the specialist until January but so looking forward to Christmas this year feel happy again really did lose my mojo l wish you both very merry Christmas
I feel your pain deeply. I lost 2 sisters 51 weeks apart in 2019 and 2020. The holidays, especially Christmas, just don't have the same magic anymore. I hope you find some peace this holiday season.
When my daughter was little every year I would trace her hands on felt, put a tie on them and put them on the tree with the date on the back. It was fun to see how she grew year by year and made for fun decorating.
I'm so glad that you are feeling better, and taking it easy. Your health is important. To save a poinsettia, you cut it off, all the leaves and down to the stalk. And throw it in the closet. Seriously, just put it in the closet. Don't water it, don't touch it until the fall. Easy peasy. My great grandma taught me this. Works like a charm. My whole family has been doing it for generations.
I was told to water them with warm water- not hot or lukewarm - just like roses. Don't know if there's a difference in poinsettias in Europe and USA, but it might help. 😊
Sending love and prayers for peace for you also sweet .. you are a precious child of GOD .. May I suggest listening to scripture .. it is like the prayer when you have no words .. FATHER GOD knows everything you are going through .. only HE is able to hold you in the palm of HIS hard and love you perfectly through this (even if HE uses sweet souls like Becky to be HIS mouth piece) x
Becky, one year I had pneumonia in December. I found it helpful and easier to breathe when I was out and about recovering to have a warm scarf around my neck. I would wrap it around and pull it up over my mouth to warm the air before taking it into my lungs. Hope this helps! I’m glad you are feeling better!
@@eyeswideopen5517 as a kid I suffered from intense asthma that landed me in the hospital- a couple stints that went on for months and my mother was always very strict about me doing this very thing! Either neck gators or scarves were a must, especially living in Western NY where lake effect snow and long hefty winters were prominent. Good advice as it really does help- at least in cold temperatures
Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. Pro Ribbon Tip: Look in the normal ribbon section. It tends to be priced a bit lower around the holidays and usually you'll find a bigger selection of solid color/no pattern ribbon.
I’m so glad you are feeling better Becky! I believe you and I hit the jackpot with our husbands…. Taking good care of us when we are down. 43 years for us on the 18th. Please do conserve and build some energy up so you can enjoy your time with family this Christmas season! God bless you & your family!
Oh Becky, I’m so thankful you are feeling better. You are special like my own granddaughter. This makes me happy to actually see that you are on the mend. Josh is a blessing also. Prayers definitely work!
Eucalyptus would be beautiful, trapped on your mantle. You would have to plan ahead to make sure you grew enough to make your garland, long enough and full enough. And it would smell so wonderful. Glad you’re feeling better.
Josh, You’re the sweetest and the most supportive husband I’ve met in a long time! Thank you for being who you are! Praying that you all are rested and healthy this Christmas season! God Bless you all and your families!❤
What a blessing to have a loving and caring spouse! I’m sure your freezer meal preps came in very handy for him! You were planning ahead for an emergency and didn’t even realize it😁
I used real ribbon for my tree and it was soooo expensive until I discovered the wholesale florist supply house in my area. I could buy huge spools of ribbon and lots of wider ribbon and wire edged ribbon which makes amazing big bows. I was stunned at the selection. Check for one in your area. More choice, better quality and cheaper. I ended up with a Rubbermaid tub filled with a wide variety of spools that I have used for years now. I always had ribbon for all gift giving and decorating.
Welcome back!! So happy your feeling better to get out and about. Don't push yourself. We ❤ you and will keep praying for you and Josh to get and stay well.
One of my sisters worked at a flower shop when in high school. This was 50 years ago. They had received a shipment of poinsettia that most had frozen. They were getting thrown out so the owner let her bring a couple home, one was red and the other was white. This was mid west Canadian prairies with extremely cold weather. The poinsettia’s survived and stayed nice for months. My sister read that they go dominate and can survive for years. Do mom put them down stairs and brought the up in the fall. She had them bloom back for about 5 years, until someone knocked them off the mantle and broke them. Poinsettias are native to Mexico and South America. There they grow big as some trees. I would love to see that.
Hey Becky, I'm glad that you're feeling better today and I pray 🙏 for Josh along with you, healing, complete restoration, lots of energy, strength and quick recovery. Thank you again for giving us updates on both your healths because we care. God bless.
You need to take it easy this Christmas. Don’t over do it! Simple can be wonderful this year! So glad you are feeling better and thankful Josh took great care of you.
I am glad you are feeling better. You are still breathing hard, so please take things slow. I understand your position on Little Man's privacy, but please enjoy decorating with him. Time goes so fast, and this is such a sweet age. His memories are starting to form❤❤❤
Thank goodness you’re healing and on the way to feeling better! I’ve had pneumonia and know just how devastatingly awful it can be.. and what difficult timing with the holiday timing. Take care of you, continue hydrating and resting whenever possible 🙏🏻 sending you well wishes for a beautiful Christmas friend 🎄
Hi Becky , A Hugh sigh of relief, that you are better, and got out to do a tad bit of shopping. The items you purchased are lovely....I can't wait to see your home all decorated. Thanks to Josh, for helping out so much, while you were ill.....Its so nice to know he was there for you!!! I can't wait to see your little one sitting by the tree, with you and hubby........Hugs from Bev in Maine!!!
I had a hard time finding ribbon, myself. Every year I look for the old, regular, degular , plain ribbon for wrapping gifts. I ended up with ribbon from the sewing department at Hobby Lobby. Becky, I’m so glad you’re doing better. Pneumonia is going around in the worst way. Way to go Josh! You are blessed to have each other. ❤️💯
Can someone explain to me why I don’t like shopping myself yet I am always ready to go along with Becky? 🤔 Happy to see you feeling so much better, Becky! ❤️
Becky, so sorry you have been sick. I am so glad you are feeling better. Love your videos. So look forward to them . I love the way Josh helps you out. Watching you cook, seem so easy for you. You certainly are a natural at it.
Hi Becky. I’m so glad you’re feeling better and that you are back in the swing of things. I did miss your videos but it’s more important to me that you get well so that you can take care of yourself and your family. Glad that you are back so stay well friend.
So glad you are feeling better!! It’s tough being sick between Thanksgiving and Christmas I have had Covid one year and a major surgery one year and pneumonia one year in the last 5 years!!! I felt like I was running behind every day but it taught me a valuable lesson, life still goes on so accept help take care and enjoy the season with the ones you love!!! Hope you continue to feel better!!💐
Glad you rested and recuperated and felt like shopping. Wanting to decorate is also a plus to know you’re doing better. You are the best!!! Continue to take care of yourself and your family. ❤👍
So glad you’re doing much better, but please still take it slow. Thanks Josh for taking care of her, looking forward to seeing her back to normal again and been her bubbly self again.
I've been sick for the last couple of years and miss the things I used to do. It was sooo nice to watch this video, it felt like you took me shopping looking at beautiful Christmas things ❤ It really calmed me down and feel better, thank you Becky.
So happy you're feeling better, but don't overdo. I know you're in capable hands with Josh. This is Little Acre's 1st Christmas that he might remember!
Becky, it was so fun to see you enjoying yourself after being so sick. Your excitement made me smile. 😁 Thank you, for sharing your day with us. Happy that you are better and Merry Christmas to you and your family.🎄
So great to see you feeling well enough to be out and about. Praying for continued healing for you and that Josh is feeling better as well. Thanks for sharing your day with us. God Bless you and your family.
You are looking so well and its great to have you back. Josh is amazing for taking on your role while you rested up. I also cannot drink coffee when im not feeling well.
Hello Becky! Soooo glad you felt good enough to be out today! And very happy to hear you enjoyed another 2 days of rest. I'm saying a prayer for you and Josh to heal quickly. Can't wait to see what's coming!! 🙏💖☺️
Love seeing the natural greenery. I cut mine from the woods yesterday, I used to work at a greenhouse and we would get all of our greenery from Canada. I’m so glad I learned to make my own.
A fun garland project I made was with corks. Save your corks. You’ll drill a hole through the middle (a $30 harbor freight vice is super helpful) and string it up with beads of your choice. I did twine and cranberry colored beads it turned out so cute and it’s a physical representation of time spent with loved ones ❤ I sometimes do an old fashioned popcorn garland instead- just make sure to get a thimble!
Awe so glad you are feeling better. Just continue to take it easy between errands. I’ve never had pneumonia but my hubby has and I’ve had bronchitis several times. High five Josh for helping you while you were recovering. Take care
When you got kids its good to have some colour and fun deorations thars was one of mine and my boys traditions we would go every year and id let them pick one new decoration each now they are adults with familys of there own they have all carried on with that tradition and i still have every special decoration they picked out and now me and my grandchildren do the same making memories with them
Becky just a little tip on dealing with glitter. Spray the glittered items with a strong holding hairspray. Believe me it saves a lot of mess! ☮️💟 Nana
The tree topper was always a tradition for us growing up. We picked out a tree topper when my husband and I got married. We've been using it for 11 Christmases now.
So nice to see you looking so happy getting your Christmas items Becky!! I am very glad that you are feeling better, but don't push yourself too hard and end being sick for Christmas. Cheers for Canada♥🎄

So happy you are better! Now, I will add Josh and your little guy to my prayers. Take it slow….we do not want any relapses! 🙏🎄💜
You helped me to bring myself out of depression. I don’t think you realize how important you are to us. So I ask you to heal yourself ❤

I prefer the smell of the Eucalyptus too . Pine pollen allergies 🤧

So glad you are feeling better. It will be nice to catch up with your mum and sister. Love to all.
A fun garland project I made was with corks. Save your corks. You’ll drill a hole through the middle (a $30 harbor freight vice is super helpful) and string it up with beads of your choice. I did twine and cranberry colored beads it turned out so cute and it’s a physical representation of time spent with loved ones ❤
I sometimes do an old fashioned popcorn garland instead- just make sure to get a thimble!
So glad you are on the mend! Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. ❤️
Glad you are feeling better and sending prayers for Josh to feel better Amen🐾🐕🥀♥️🙏
