    I have the exact same mini greenhouse in my bedroom in the UK with fluorescent LED lights tied just under the shelves. I have those silver survival sheets that can trail down when the lights feel too bright, otherwise, I just sit in bed and look at them ❤ It's just going into spring here. Before I had succulents [6 months ago] I used the shelves for all kinds of storage elsewhere and more for strawberries outside that survived in winter. I really appreciate you giving the names of your plants. The information you give is really useful to us succulent parents. You truly have a beautiful collection.

    Have you tried the new breed of Semponium [a cross between a sempervivum and an aeonium] thought to be more frost resiliant down to -3C?

    Loved this video! I have 2 questions...do your lovely pots have drainage holes or do you just water sparingly and what kind of pebbles are you topping your soil with? Thanks for your time.😊

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Год назад +1

      My pots all have holes for good drainage after watering when the soil dries up and I use Decomposed Granite as top dressing. Thanks for watching and hope you'll find my videos useful.

    What do you do with old soil? Are you able to reuse it? If so do you treat it before reusing it?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Год назад +1

      I throw away all my used soil into my garden. If I were to reuse them to use in pots/planters, I would highly recommend steaming them for at least 30 minutes to kill most of the pathogens. Sun bathing them especially during summer where the sun is the hottest, is also another way of killing the pathogens. I would leave it for a week of sunning. Then I would add some Seamungus or Dynamic lifter into the soil to encourage good bacterial growth. Adding 50% of new potting mix is also beneficial for the new soil mix.

    Hello Liz ! I had oder 2 pack of Plants 3 weeks ago all together have 80 pieces i put in the pot the same way she show me. Look o.k at the moment me Liz! Please Can you show me how look after them in winter because they are still baby 🥲if i do'nt know how look after them , they will died😂 Thanks Liz😘

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Год назад +1

      I have videos showing how to look after baby succulents in winter but can't remember exactly which one. Please take a look at mmy PROPAGATION PLAYLIST.
      You can also watch my VLOG videos starting from this video. The tips I give on this video applies also to baby succulents. I will be doing more winter preparation videos from now on until winter.
      With your succulents that are now potted, just water them next time the soil is dry with half dose of seaweed solution. Always make sure the soil is dry before watering to prevent rotting.

      Heat and age. When it's cold, I find that they seem to retract. Keeping them in a warm area during winter would be beneficial in maintaining the bumps.

      I use my Metho Solution (Denatured alcohol) 1 cup Metho + 1/4 cup water. Spray on the roots/soil with mealies. It doesn't hurt the plant. Check again the next day to be sure and spray again if needed.

      If you're in Australia, I got mine from Norah Garden 89 on Facebook. Most sellers don't have them in stock all the time. One just has to keep checking when they have sales. You could also try Succers for Succulents on Facebook. Maybe just give them a call.
