This is good! What could be an improvement would be to add your own thoughts and make some research or more in-depth about the series and its its creative process. Its more work then explaining what each chapter is... but reading the manga. I think this was thought out like a solution problem idea. The manga is 150+ chapters. The main idea of TYT is the length of the story. It stretches' (spoilers here) from almost the birth of civilization until modern times. Because Fushi (immortal) is a being who keeps living. There's also a focus on what fushi is... the manga shows an "orb" who is undestroyable with shapeshifting abilities, (even animals). But the author also touches on life after death. During on episode - Hayenes grandchildren visits Fushi after a long time. But the child has carried a 'wound'' that passes back in generation. As said herself is a re-incarnation of Hayenes, not an offspring. There's also separate stories to be found. And in the beginning the only thing linking them is the shape "fushI" take. In one sense. We're fushi. We don't understand the world (of the manga). Starting in a fishing village in the artic ice. It focus on survival and maintain hope in troubled times. As a bystander (dog) we get to experience one teenage boy Joan fate and his unfortunate demise. Joan wish is to walk into 'paradise' and find fruits. We then follow fushi (as a golem like creature) achieving the impossible, walking in a life-death-cycle until he finds tropical forest filled with fruits. Fruits was what Joan envisioned to eat one day. With Fushi his dream become real. In the forest Fushi encounters a 'supernatural creature', a white huge bear that tears him down and we given our second story. At the spring of civilization people worship Spirits by sacrificing young ones in rituals to bless them with peace and prosperity. During one such ritual - a child March who been chosen as sacrifice tries to flee, she meet up with "Fushi" who scares her pursuers. With March as companion we're taking into adventure which question historical facts and methods with a highlight on child-like qualities and the characters journey throughout. This time however "FushI" intervene and become known to the world. The third story focuses on a boy Gugu, forced to wear an iron helmet after being disfigured in a terrible accident. We're given an insight in history of an farmer and overcoming hardship in life. It's like reading a history book but encounter the events people did in first person. With a twist of supernatural - making it like a new telling of Japanese tales. The monologues for each characters allows us to know the person on the inside.
I think To Your Eternity is a true work of art, a masterpiece. No less expected from the author of A Silent Voice. To Your Eternity is one of those few works of art where the protagonist we follow is neither of the two main types - them being 1. the self-inserts - and 2. the idols, the superheroes. To Your Eternity is neither, it's protagonist is neither relatable nor is it something to be idolized. It's just there, as the entity that put it there said, " To experience life, to find stimulation". And as we follow, our inhuman protagonist, we experienced it's journey through the eyes of an outsider peeking into this world , similar to the entity that created our protagonist. We experience it's varied cast of characters , experience it's world, it's beauty and we are immersed in the world, but we can't help but sit back and let the immersion break from time to time and truly soak it in for what it is ....a work of art. A story playing itself out, and we are but viewers admiring it's beauty, glad to along for the ride. Also , ( KINDA SPOILERS , NOT EXACTLY)Fuushi is becoming more and more human at a faster rate than I anticipated as we can see in the newer episodes with Gugu, Fuushi is inevitably bound to become more and more human as the show progresses, I haven't read the manga but our inhuman protagonist is bound to slowly understand what love and loss truly are as the show progresses , it kinda reminds me of Violet Evergarden, only Fuushi's journey is bound to be far , far more painful but emotionally and physically, with him being immortal and it's going to be painful, when he finally understands the meaning of human connections and the bonds that he has formed and lost along the way, when he finally grieves for all the lost he has endured. But it will be ...well...beautiful to watch as sadistic as it may sound, since the source material is praised to be one of the greatest mangas of all time. This show also heavily plays into Thesius' Ship, which ask the question, are we something that is "ourselves" from birth, or are we just a collection of our experiences, the answer being that we are both. And oh , that first episode , I fuckin bawled my eyes out , the themes of memories and leaving a legacy , that for us mortal humans , our immortality is being remembered and having being made a difference. Fushi carries parts of March , The boy , Gugu, and will carry a part everyone who will impact him along the way acting as the ship sailing to eternity.
I wonder how far the series is going to take the aspect of Fushi being immortal. So far we've seen it just interact with other characters lives, but maybe it could live through hundreds/thousands of years and see how it handles once all the people it knows are gone. We'll have to see.
@@KevinNyaa Yeah, we'll have to see, when it learns grief it's going to be a cathartic moment as you said in the video. And also, I love your videos. Your content is pure quality, the Silent Voice video was a masterpiece, it even got me to tear up. And thank you for your content, your channel is too underrated. But please keep doing what you do.
I caved and read the manga, wanting to know what was going to happen that badly. I'm not currently finished, though the first core is definitely done, reaching one of the most beautiful climaxes I have ever experienced in any story. This series, adapted correctly, is going to be something. I won't say anything spoilery here, but I will tell you he continues to be so very relatable and yet the most alien thing you could ever imagine. I love everything about him. His powerset is phenomenal, with aspects of it taken to their logical extremes. As you watch, if you can think of something that might be with his powerset, our amazing mangaka has also thought of it and now she brings it in. Just wait. This story knows how to bring the sad tears, but it also knows how to bring the happy tears.
My interpretation is that all of these people represents something in Fushi's learned humanity. The rock: before consciousness Moss: the beginning of life but without consciousness Dog: consciousness and primal instincts The boy: humanity and identity Bear: Traumatic experiences/Pain March: Mother Gugu: Brother

I didn't know the writer of the manga was the same one who wrote A Silent voice, I never really payed attention It really was a rollercoaster of emotions, I never would have thought that March would die like that and how they showed her as a grown up dancing with those small plushies, it made me cry a lot And I can't wait to see how much more Fushi's gonna go through character development and gain even more abilities and experiences. There is so much going on here that it is difficult to know where to start with comments. I think it is a combination of uniquely appealing character design that departs from stereotypical anime, perfect voice actors, a music soundtrack that is epic and beautiful beyond words and an unconventional plot concept. But it is so much more that that. We are introduced to this boy who has managed to maintain strength of optimism through 5 years of isolation, has no negative personality traits, and is such a sweet, innocent and benevolent individual. The esthetics of this character's appearance play no small role in his appeal. He has the aura of a prince, but with not a hint of arrogance. You can sense the nature loving vibe from the way he treats the wolf. In short, he is the embodiment of all that we hold dear-the best in humanity. So his death destroys us emotionally when it happens. We will never learn of his name. That also makes this loss worse for us. Then things take a turn for the strange as the orb becomes his likeness. In a way, his wish to never be forgotten is granted in spades. But what is this entity that now walks in his body? Will he be a demon, or the next messiah? Our sadness is met with a curious sense of hope and victory as the boy becomes immortal. Reading the manga, we discover that he becomes more God like as he learns and gains experience. There is a modern saga which starts with book 13. Things get interesting as Fushi confronts modern day Japan. I think it would be a great thing if Oima-sama wrote the boy's back story ... who he was, where his family came from, and whether they were sea faring people shipwrecked in the arctic, hence the houses made from boats. I want to know more about his past.
I started to watch this on episode 2 and I'm surprised I don't see more people talk about it, it's def going to be most more popular in the future (It's probably popular but I personally don't see much talk about it)

Nice video!!! And, I agree with you, I love this anime. I'm learning English and your videos are good resources!!! Because I love anime reviews and you add subtitles to your videos which make them awesome for me!!!! Thanks!
I've watched up to episode 5 now. I have a habit of thinking of ways that a tragic storie can be turned around. In episode 5 when Fushi stopped Parona from killing herself I hoped he would transform a part of himself into the part of Marches body injured by the arrow and the separate himself from that part saving her life in the process. Basically using his ability as a way to heal others. In Fact I kind of thought that was Piranhas plan when she jumped out of the wagon. The worlds a big place and there's a lot of meaning in it for Fushi to find so Parona my be proven wrong about Fushis immortality being unfortunate because it probably will be very fortunate for the people he will help in the future. It saved Poronas life twice after all.
I'd say it is very depressing to even think about who will die next. The recent episodes just makes me think "don't u dare kill him he deserves to live a happy life".
At this point, I just assume that everyone will die eventually since Fushi is gonna live for thousands of years or maybe even longer. But it will still be very tragic to experience.
1:18 I'm sorry but she wasn't looks like Yoshitoki Oima-sensei at all. Probably she was Nishimiya Shouko's Seiyuu. CMIIW Yoshitoki Oima-sensei video if you haven't watched, ruclips.net/video/Xe5VCaV5p5I/видео.html
This anime is great until the most recent (prison) arc, I've dreaded watching each episode of this arc but I still have hope for this series considering the manga is praised very highly.
the ending of the prison arc is great imo! and the arcs after it are really good too, you get introduced to some great characters and the world is expanded nicely
@@KevinNyaa Don't worry just because you review Anime does not mean you must watch every single one but you will probably like this one. It's about the best and the worst of the modern world, science, how to go from stone age to modern technology and why some characters don't think rebuilding civilization is a good idea.
,_, I've been reading the manga for a few years now, ever since I found copies of the first two volumes at my local library. The difficult thing about talking about this particular story, is you have to have two different kinds of conversation. One is for people who haven't read it yet and meeting them on their level, and one in deep spoiler tags for those who have. Us manga veterans have realized it's legitimately next to impossible to talk about ANYTHING about this show without giving away spoilers. It sucks because there weren't very many places where people could talk about it, as it wasn't very well known. Many of us basically had to suffer in solitude. Personally I've never seen a show or a story I couldn't at least have a general discussion without spoilers, but you actually can't really do that here because of how different everything in the story is presented from what we're used to. I have two pieces of advice, and a warning: Hang in there, and DON'T watch analysis videos until you're caught up. Assume there will be spoilers b/c there will. It *can't* be discussed in detail w/o spoiling. The warning is actually kind of good news.... most of the time you can know what's going to happen, and it's not going to make much difference in how hard the story hits you. Like... at all. Most of us longtime manga readers STILL can't make it through certain parts w/o getting emotionally distressed, if not outright sobbing all over again.

It saved Poronas life twice after all.
crying rn
I'd say it is very depressing to even think about who will die next. The recent episodes just makes me think "don't u dare kill him he deserves to live a happy life".
At this point, I just assume that everyone will die eventually since Fushi is gonna live for thousands of years or maybe even longer. But it will still be very tragic to experience.
Ya It feel like angle beats . But in the end he doesn't meet his friends back
I just straight out not give myself hope and just assume that whoever fushi is close to would die eventually.
Gugu was a real one 😭

The time skip tho
This anime is great until the most recent (prison) arc, I've dreaded watching each episode of this arc but I still have hope for this series considering the manga is praised very highly.
the ending of the prison arc is great imo! and the arcs after it are really good too, you get introduced to some great characters and the world is expanded nicely
Can you do a video on dr stone?
oh yeah pls🙏🏼
Unfortunately, I have not seen Dr Stone oops
@@KevinNyaa Don't worry just because you review Anime does not mean you must watch every single one but you will probably like this one. It's about the best and the worst of the modern world, science, how to go from stone age to modern technology and why some characters don't think rebuilding civilization is a good idea.
Where are you from kevin
Give review of fruits basket ... My fav seasonal

There is a spoiler warning...
@@KevinNyaa flew over my head
,_, I've been reading the manga for a few years now, ever since I found copies of the first two volumes at my local library.
