Hello! Fellow VX owner here! Interesting way to mount the wing. I can't say I've seen one mounted that way. Not sure if I like it or not but as long as you like it then that's all that matters. Be interested to see it at the National this weekend if you're going?
Yea were gonna miss that meeting 🙄... Unfortunately way too much work on at the studio. Attaching the wing like this worked well, we thing it looks cool ....
Hi Jamie. All the brackets are custom made. The idea behind it was to not put big holes in the top of the clam which first let water in and second dont look to good if you ever decide to take the wing of. Also I foun mouting the wing ontop of the clam places it to close to the body of the car making it look still, plus would offer zero effect(if there is any). You cant mount any wing to the clam on a VX because it will crack the fibreglass. The mirco cracks that are formed when mounting the wing like this allow water ingress and possible paint blisterin/osmosis. Under the carpet in the boot the clam is bolted to the chasis. I used this point to mount an L shapped bracket, two infact. Drill holes through the rear face of the clam larger than the bolts that will go through them. This is how the wing is mounted. It bolts directly to the L shapped brackets which are bolted to the chasis. The clam can not be damaged as it does not touch the mounting points, kind of floating over them. I am aiming over the next few weeks to get some more videos done covering. 1. Electrical mods to the car. 2.Digital dash fitting. 3. Tracking systems that work really well and can be fitted stealth. Hope that helps

Chassis mounting the wing what a idea. Would you be able to share more details on the chassis mount brackets/fixing.

"But Officer, they are just my anti-tailgating device!" Lol
Firing the chai-gun might overcome some of the losses due to drag and extra weight. As long as they only fire backwards.
