Who knew so much grunge came out of Canada? Thanks for making and sharing, brother there’s a lot of records on here that I have never heard before that. I can’t wait to now. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Good list, this is one of my favorite genres. Some of my favorites are Nirvana Nevermind Stone Temple Pilots Purple Smashing Pumpkind Siamese Dream Pearl Jam vs Soundgarden Badmotorfinger Alice in Chains Dirt Hole Live Through This Temple of the Dog Mad Season Above L7 Bricks are heavy I tried to pick one album per band.
Great list dude ! Talk about a trip down memory lane , I have all those albums except for the Mad Season one , I remember going to see all the bands every year at the Edgefest festival they use to hold back in the day at Molson Park in Barrie , top albums for me for grunge would be … 1. Nirvana - Nevermind 2. Alice in Chains - Dirt 3. Pearl Jam - Ten 4. Soundgarden - Superinknown 5. Temple of the Dog
Great list and I was surprised. I too would have chosen Vs over Ten. I have Dirt as my #1 and Core #2, but much respect for picking Purple.. thanks for doing this.
Great Grunge list, Mark! I'm glad that Rainbow Butt Monkeys changed their name to Finger Eleven. Cool to see Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam.
1. Pearl Jam - Ten 2. Nirvana - Nevermind 3. Alice In Chains - Dirt 4. Soundgarden - Superunknown 5. Stone Temple Pilots - Purple 6. Nirvana - Bleach 7. Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger 8. Nirvana - In Utero 9. Pearl Jam - Vs. 10. Stone Temple Pilots - Core 11. Alice In Chains - Facelift 12. Soundgarden - Louder Than Love 13. Soundgarden - Ultramega OK 14. Pearl Jam - Vitalogy 15. Soundgarden - Down On The Upside 16. Alice In Chains - Jar Of Flies 17. Soundgarden - Screaming Life 18. Alice In Chains - Black Gives Way To Blue 19. Pearl Jam - No Code 20. Alice In Chains - Rainier Fog 21. Alice In Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here 22. Pearl Jam - Yield
If Mad Season Above is on the list, it’s legit. Considering the members involved, the story behind it, the time it was released, and the epic as fuck show they did in Seattle.. nothing represents “grunge” better, imo. ..Oh and every song on it is a banger.
Great list except for the Canadian bands.😂 as a teenager in the 90s, the album 10 Was Way better and much more influential than Vs. Core was also a better album from Stone Temple Pilots. That being said, thanks for the list. Always fun to reminisce.
@@adamandreadakis6103 being from Canada 🇨🇦 those albums I listened to a lot from back in the day. I know a lot of people would have different bands. I could of had just pearl jam, soundgarden, Alice in Chains and nirvana on this list. It was fun either way to go back to these albums
