"Sara" "Edge of Seventeen" "Stand Back" "Rooms on Fire" "Landslide" "Seven Wonders" There's WAY too many to even mention. The woman is beyond a classic. I'm saying best female voice ever, but that's my opinion.
Her 1989 album, "The Other Side of the Mirror" is by far one of her darkest and an underrated masterpiece, written while mentally locked away in a drug-induced prison with the opinions of so many keeping the door sealed shut. None of her stuff since holds a candle to it in my opinion, though her "Trouble in Shangri-La" album was also excellent. He's gotta check for the video on here of her singing "Doing the Best that I Can" with her backup singers, just the three of them at a huge piano, completely stripped back. It's the only live version in existence online and her voice is phenomenal on it, yet she was so messed up from addictions that she doesn't even remember touring for that 1989 album. It's allegedly Stevie's favourite album as well. Hopefully we get a remaster on vinyl someday.
Stevie Nicks is my all-time favorite female singer! She was with Fleetwood Mac and she also has solo albums. Listen to 'Stop Dragging My Heart Around' sung with Tom Petty, 'Gold Dust Woman', 'Leather and Lace' sung with Don Henley...there are so many great ones!!!
Their Rumors album is an essential for any music lover. If you can start that album and only listen to the first track, you're not human. Steely Dan - Do It Again 1972
Stevie Nicks the only woman in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame twice, once with Fleetwood Mac and solo. The Chain, Go Your Own Way, Dreams are great Fleetwood Mac songs and Edge Of Seventeen by Stevie is great also.
She is an amazing lady. Danced to this song in the woods when my cousin left me the oldest female in the family. Now that my daughter is on her own. Landslide hits home again.💕
Though her voice and Lindsay's guitar get all the attention, they had a world class rythym section similar to the Stones. Always there in the background
Her majesty, Stevie Nicks, the only woman with two inductions to the Rock hall of fame. And at over seventy, she can still melt butter with voice, and me.
Her name is Stevie Nicks. She is one of three singer-songwriters in the band. Producer, songwriter, singer and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham (who brought Stevie with him when he joined because they were a couple and she writes great songs). Christine McVie, singer, songwriter, keyboardist, was married to the bass player, and joined the band in their earlier days. John McVie. Bassist. The “Mac” of Fleetwood Mac and co-founder. Was married to Christine. Mick Fleetwood. Drummer. The “Fleetwood” of Fleetwood Mac and co-founder, and “father” and cheerleader of the band. The album Rumours was written and recorded when everybody broke up at the same time. It remains one of the highest selling albums of all time, with every track a single. A must listen to, but risking a block.
Just one thing, McVie wasn't actually a co-founder of the group. He joined the group named after him a few weeks after it started. Peter Green wanted him but he didn't leave John Mayall's Bluesbreakers at the same time as Green and Fleetwood. They had another bass player before him.
@@Uatu-the-Watcher Bob brunning recorded one track (long grey mare) for their first album. He was employed until the others could get McVie to join, only for a few weeks. He performed live with them though. Peter Green was the real founder, leaving the Bluesbreakers was his idea.
Stevie Nicks...Two-time female inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Once as a member of Fleetwood Mac and once as a solo performer. She's the real deal!
That voice is from one of the Greatest of All Times. Stevie Nicks. Try the Edge of Seventeen or Rhiannon. She and Fleetwood Mac have so many great songs.
Most of their great songs were heartbroken and either written by her about breaking up with Lindsey (guitarist), or written by him about her. This one is no exception. It sounds like shes ready to move on, which contrasts with precious albums where she was still struggling. Check out Rumors and the untitled album before it too. If you like Gypsy you'll like those.
This is one of my favorite music videos ever. It's like watching two or three old-style Hollywood movies in one music video. All five members of the band appear in the video. Since you seem to appreciate drumming, the band's drummer Mick Fleetwood--who puts the Fleetwood in Fleetwood Mac--is the bearded guy in the wide-brimmed hat in the black-and-white rain sequence. He's also in a couple of other shots, including the pink-lit shots in the woods. Speaking of those pink-lit shots in the woods (at the 4:53 mark), that's where three of the other four members of Fleetwood Mac (besides singer Stevie Nicks) appear together in this video. Bassist John McVie--who puts the Mac in Fleetwood Mac--appears in some of the earlier shots. I'm too tired to go back an pick out his appearances, but he's there in the sepia street scene and in the black and white scene in the club.
It seems crazy to me that you don't know who Stevie Nicks is, imagine me saying that I didn't know who Tina Turner is and that is how surprised I am. Anyways, one of my favorite songs from her is called Landslide and is an emotional journey in its own right if you pay close attention to what is being said. In fact if you decide to watch this joint take a minute to look up the lyrics first and read it through without the music playing so that you know what it is about before the video. Peace.
Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands ever, and Stevie Nicks is a goddess. I've seen the band in concert 3 times, and I've seen Stevie solo twice. She NEVER disappoints. She's my gypsy queen.
Fleetwood Mac's line-up from the mid-1970s was Stevie Nicks (vocal and percussion), Lindsey Buckingham (vocals and guitar), Christine Mc Vie (vocal and keyboards), John McVie (bass) and Mick Fleetwood (drums). Stevie, Lindsey and Christine all wrote songs for the band and generally sang their own compositions, e.g. Gypsy was penned by Stevie. She was always my favourite vocalist in the band, but the whole band contributed enormously to the sound of all of their songs, so that she was never better than when singing with them. Her great Fleetwood Mac songs include Rhiannon (esp. the live version), Landslide, Dreams, and Sara. You should listen to all of them.
The singer is Stevie Nicks - the “White Witch” - and Queen of Rock N Roll to some. Fleetwood Mac was a complicated band whose most famous lineup consisted of former lovers Lindsey Buckingham (guitar and vocals) and Stevie Nicks (vocals and percussion), as well as divorced couple John (bass) and Christine McVie (keys and vocals). Mick Fleetwood was on drums and had his own relationship with Stevie as well. The band’s most famous album is “Rumors” - written and recorded at a time when the band was, quite literally, imploding due to failed romances and cheating with EACH OTHER, as well as collectively spiraling into drugs and the Los Angeles lifestyle. Despite barely speaking to one another at this tumultuous time, the album is a literal masterpiece - with every single track now being a classic rock staple that is revered and beloved. It remains one of Top 5 best-selling albums of all-time.
Love Stevie Nicks singing this song. She's my favorite singer. All of her music is awesome whether with Fleetwood Mac or her solo albumns! I told my son please pay their music at my funeral!! Love them! 💞💞💞
What a talent, what a treasure, either solo or her years with Fleetwood Mac. She is in my top 5 female singers. Stevie was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, in 1998 with Fleetwood Mac and solo in 2019.
The one and only Stevie Nicks!!! She's just one of the singers in the group. Other songs from Fleetwood Mac......'Dreams, Sara, Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Little Lies, Seven Wonders, You Make Lovin Fun!'
Lots of great Fleetwood Mac songs for you to react to, but not many people react to the old Fleetwood Mac, with Peter Green on vocals and guitar. Check out 'Oh Well Part 1'.
Omg Stevie Nicks is the Queen of Rock and Roll first female artist ever to be inducted in the Rock Hall of Fame 2 times over with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist, this woman had an incredible experience as a musician, thank God she survived it and is telling the young female artist that coming up behind her to just have fun and don't make the same mistakes she made... Very highly influential artist... You should do more reactions of Stevie you'll like her music alot
So glad you've been introduced to the great Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. I highly recommend reacting to "Stand Back" by Stevie Nicks. She reported that the synth sound in her song was inspired by Prince's song "Little Red Corvette" when she heard it on the radio.
Stevie said Prince did come to the studio to put the synth sound for the song. She said he came in did it in less than 20 mins & left w/o saying anything.
Man super excited when I saw you do some Fleetwood Mac. Man so many great songs from them. Check out Over My Head, Say You Love Me, Big Love and World Turning. These are great and I feel sometimes forget about them. Alot of times people do certain songs on these reactions only.
Check out the fact that they had two female singers. the other is Christine McVie an English blues singer and keyboard player. The name of the band comes from Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass--two of the original English Blues band. Peter Green who founded the band in England called it Fleetwood Mac because he 'knew' he would not remain for long but they would. Fleetwood and McVie invited Lindsey Buckingham (guitar) to join the band and Stevie Nicks came along as part of the package.
That is the great Stevie Nicks!! So many great Fleetwood Mac songs... my favorite is Landslide. Written about her dad, it makes me cry. Please also check out "Linger" by the Cranberries if you haven't.. xo
She had a solo career too! React to Edge of seventeen live in 2011 yes these are fan vids but she is on fire here! She was 60+ here! She just celebrated her 72nd birthday this year! In May.
It is hard believing you have never heard this music before. They have only sold millions of records and have won almost every award the music industry has, Mac Fleetwood, is the drummer and the owner of the group which has been transformed several times from its inception. Linsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks came on board in the '70s and transformed the band and rock music for a decade
I loove this song and I love Stevie. So Fleetwood Mac is a band, and she is Stevie Nicks. The band is shown briefly in the video, they're those people sitting down. Stevie also did solo albums, one of which is Bella Donna. I would recommend it!
That's Stevie Nick's, one of 3 singer song writers in a band of 5 people. She is the first woman to be inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame twice, first with Fleetwood Mac the band. Again who has 3 lead singers and harmonies from hell. Then later for her body of solo work. Great band, tons of talent.
Stevie Nicks is the only woman in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame twice. She is also a formally trained ballet dancer. Many designers have used her style as inspiration.
The entire band WAS in the video you just didn't know who you were looking for, lol! They each played different roles in each scene. The easiet to pick out being the guy Stevie is dancing with at the party. He's the lead guitarist as well as one of the 3 people who share lead vocal duties. FM truly is one of the most diverse, talented bands ever. Hope you keep exploring their music.😊
There are 3 lead singers in Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham. They all 3 write and sing lead and back up vocals on different songs. The other band members are actually in this music video.
She is Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac's name comes from Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass guitar) the original members still in the band. The name was 'bestowed' on the band by principal founder member and leader guitarist Peter Green because he felt he would not stay with band indefinitely but they would. After various line ups they were joined by Christine McVie (keyboards and vocals) and then Lindsey Buckingham (lead guitar and vocals) and Stevie Nicks (vocals), his girlfriend at the time.
Her name is Stevie Nicks and she is quite literally with no exaggeration the queen of rock'n'roll.
These are facts.

Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac is seriously one of the most beautiful songs ever created!
And I have LOVED THEM SINCE CHILDHOOD!

Mick Fleetwood,

Stevie Nicks with that very distinctive fast vibratto. It's beautiful.
Lindsey Buckingham’s solo at the end is underrated. It’s fast, complicated, yet artful in how it weaves itself into the fabric of the song.
And he never uses a pick!
I sincerely think it’s one of the best solo’s of all time in any genre of music
Even though it’s a layers mosaic of guitar parts, the prime concept is genius.

Stevie was singing in bars with her grandfather Nicks, harmonizing since she was a child.
