Jon Snow is true North. Others found him wooden or stupid or uninteresting or disappointing. I found him to be a real human hero: imperfect; confused; uncertain; modest; decent; humane; honest; in over his head.
Some fans criticized his obsequiousness towards Daenerys. But Jon Snow didn't want to be the king, didn't want to sit on the Iron Throne, didn't want to be the savior. Daenerys had a kind of messiah complex. Jon didn't. So he deferred to her because she wanted it and he didn't. Yes, it was a mistake and a foolishness. As Sansa said, "Men do stupid things for women; they're easily manipulated." Who can't forgive Jon for falling in love with Daenerys? Who can't forgive Jon for deferring to Daenerys when she had an almost magical charisma and he didn't want to be king or to sit on the Iron Throne?
Jon had to be the hero because there was no one else who could. He had to make a choice that no human should be forced to make. And perhaps no other character in Westeros would have been able to do what Jon did. And his reward? Banishment - and freedom.

Well, considering what his happening to him at the moment, you guys can see that he is a great actor. Even while telling the truth about his feelings towards the end of the show, he kept a cool attitude and a smiling face, whereas, deep inside of him, he was really sad about it. 😔

If I was that girl that approached him at the airport to ask him if he is Jon Snow, etc and he cried saying, “Not anymore.” I wouldn’t have backed away, I would have hugged him especially learning recently that he is doing therapy and rehab for himself. regarding to the end of the tv show is he the basterd Jon Snow, a traitor who was sentenced to serve the night watch for the rest of his miserable life and even to not make children, because he killed his queen after telling her for a whole season or maybe two, „You’re my queen. I don’t want it.“
Anyway that’s how D&D have ended him up. So there was no happy ending for him as prince Aegon VI. Targaryen, even nobody in tv show called him by his real name. He stayed as Jon „the basterd“ Snow. Sad but the show runner wanted it to end this way.
You can't say "Aegon Targaryen, sixth of his name" until he is crowned as king though. There were many Aegons who did not became king.

I guess he was still struggling with not playing Jon Snow (I stand by he will Always be Jon Snow!!), but he was struggling with no longer Playing him, here...? That breaks my heart. I hope he doesn't find it too much more difficult to move on. Also, it is amazing that he was That invested in Jon Snow!! I hope he has a wonderful and long acting career after this. P.S.
