This is why Jim is my favourite, such a humble honest guy. No arrogance what so ever, just looks like a cool dude. Hope I have the privilege of meeting him one day. Would be a dream come true.
Liam Buckley met him a few times, great guy. Him and Corey are both crazy nice. So was Paul.
Him and Corey are awesome people. I really want to meet them some day. Also, I have a question, Chip Tamplin how do you meet them? I've never seen slipknot live. Is it about a backstage pass or what?
Liam Buckley really friendly dude, his sense of humor is great too, he's definitely one of the more interesting guys to talk to
John M they do meet and greet packages sometimes for gigs, also they do signings sometimes at festivals, hope that helps :)
Jim is my favorite too, he just keeps getting better and better
I think Slipknot should make an album that brings back their eerie noises, and creepy vocals, such as in Tattered and Torn, Skin Ticket, Purity, and Diluted.

Honestly, that's all the Grey chapter missed for me. If Corey would do some of the more twisted cerebral singing vocals, I feel like it would hit more home and come more full circle.
I mean the dude has a great singing voice and I wouldn't want him to get rid of it completely, but when I think of "I wish they would go back to the s/t era" all I mean is the eerie singing.
I feel they still have the guitars and everything else to do it, but the clean vocals of straight up singing is what this band has that doesn't do justice.

I vote for album 6 to go heavier. No-one does heavy like Slipknot.

+TheTillhammer You sir and many other people need to calm the fuck down.These guys are over their 40's now, they cant force those kind of emotions when their lives are not half as fucked up as they were back then. Plus, i think im the only who realized this because nobody ever comments on it, but Corey's vocals are fucked man. If you listen carefully to all the albums you will notice his voice deteriorating (you seriously thought this would be his choice? Like he actually sang like that because he wanted to? No). Its what naturally happens for screaming so fucking much on records plus touring. I honestly think they wont be able to put such an intense record out again, and if they do, theyll have to find a new singer. Lets just be honest here: compare Coreys vocals in say, The Devil in I or The Negative One to the ones in No Life for example or even Duality. You cant deny his vocal chords suffered a lot of damage through the time

Nikola Angelov I would also like to see something new. I'd like them to experiment, but at the same time, have that Slipknot style in there. What I won't like if they experiment, will be the assholes commenting stuff like "Slipknot are sellouts", "This is not Slipknot", "This album sucks", "Not as good as their old stuff." You know, shit like that.

Holy hell yes. I really hope they do a follow up on Iowa. That would be amazing. Although a follow up on the subliminal verses would be good too but I would want another Iowa first I think.
They won't do a follow up to Iowa. Ever. The reasons? The writing force behind Iowa was Jordison and Gray and now they re both gone. Now the main song writers are Root and Taylor. What is the type of songs that those 2 write? Catchy radio hits. Another reason is that Taylor is now a happy, filthy rich man and not a suicidal alcoholic fiend.

Seeing Slipknot Live was one of the best days of my life. Whether they make another album or not in the near future, I'm proud of the grey chapter, and how they've evolved into what they are now.

It would be interesting to hear Slipknot do a story-based concept album (story as in clear narrative, a la The Wall, Scenes From A Memory and Operation Mindcrime).
I believe that they should be kind of a mix. Some experimental songs, some brutal death metal songs but overall they should have the creepy sound that came out of .5.
Do a Pink Floyd meets Iowa album.. a masterpiece of both styles mashed into one. You guys can certainly pull that off

This may be a dumb question, but what is up with the band thing on his hand? I've noticed that he plays with it on as well. Is it just a comfort thing or something?
Maybe to prevent his hand from being cut open when play guitar. Kirk Hammett (Metallica) duct taped his hand too, saying that when he played too hard, guitar strings would cut his hand.
Hola Amigo It's a hair band. You can see some backstage pics where he has his hair in a bun, so for the sake of not losing it he keeps it around his fingers. He used to do the same back during the "All Hope Is Gone" days, when he had long hair.

It's just a hair tie. I do the same thing but it does sort of keep your fingers stable when playing. It's more just a convenience thing.
