After draining the water, there should be very little left in there if you drain from all available drain plugs and hose connections, so you shouldn't have to flush with coolant a final time. Again, it certainly won't hurt, but having a minimal amount of distilled water in there with mostly coolant won't hurt. The only thing you don't want to mix is different types of coolant.
frank Zmonster I need to know where is my thermostat located on a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 636 my contact number is 334-890-2613 please contact me at my number or send me a text message
Also I realize this is off subject but I’m gonna ask anyway as you strike me as one who takes pride in doing the proper maintenance and doing it the right way, and thought you may be able to shed some light on an issue with my machine. So I’ve owned this bike since new, I’m currently at about 19k miles and the bike has lost some power/performance along the way and it’s now to the point where I’m needing to do some work before I carry on riding it. I’ve been pretty good with the oil changes, mobil 1 full syn, and I’ve done the plugs and air filter one time thus far. I have not done the valve clearance check yet, but it will be done before I take it out again (I know 15K is when I should have). The bike just sounds off right now, starts right up but seems weak, almost air’y if that makes any sense. The exhaust servo has noticeable rust on it, everything else looks pretty kosher. Anything I should be looking for that may be the cause for some of this such as the exhaust servo, not sure what it’s purpose is, or could it all be in the valve shim/throttle body sync work thats it’s lacking? Vacuum leak perhaps or can a fuel pump be functioning but not 100% and cause issues? Really hard for me to describe it in general, like she has the Covid but not quite on the ventilator yet, just a little sick right now. :) Thanks to anyone who cares to reply. Oh and the bike is all stock, no aftermarket parts.
Hey bud, I’ve got the same bike as yours, 07 ZX6R in red. I wanted the atomic silver actually but I’ve grown to like the color, was the last 07 in the showroom when the 08’s arrived and they gave me a deal so…Anyway my question to you is what should we be using for coolant or what do you recommend? Brand and color please and is it a 50/50 mix with distilled when installing? Thanks for your tutorial, I do appreciate it as I’m sure many others do as well. Ride safe.
Thanks man got all the fairings off lastnight fuckin pain in the ass compared to other bikes but this made the rest of the job easier then it woulda been without your video take care brother✌️
At 4:15 (for reference), on that frame slider, I have noticed that some sort of oil is coming from there is not leaking nor dropping oil or whatever this liquid is, can you or anyone on here help me figure why is there oil? also on that same house under that same sliders it appears to be slightly wet, once again oil/liquid. Thank you for your help!
Had this issue with mine. Looked it up and Kawasaki messed up and issued a “recall”. Mine was at 20K and I noticed oil coming from the header and also white smoke out the exhaust. Had a dealer replace it (didn’t do it for free since it was so long ago that Kawasaki issued this advisory) runs great now. I hope that’s the issue you’re having. www.zx6r.com/threads/07-08-zx6r-valve-cover-gasket-reall.7037/
No relevance at all really.. on my zx6r I have a 190 I was thinking about going back down the 180 just cause the 190 on a 5.5in rim makes the tire steeper...idk I was just curious.

How many bottles of that engine ice does the 07 zx6r take?
Thanks for the vid man! I have a 2007 ZX10R and all the bolts are in the same place. Same procedure. Thanks a bunch. Subbed as well
What coolant did you use for yours?
Do you need to flush one more time with the new coolant to make sure no pure water is left in there

Sounds like you need valve adjustment

good looking out!
Anybody know the small reservoir he moves out of the way at 1:47?? Mines completely broken
180 tire on 17 inch wheel. What is the relevance of this question to this video?
thanks

anyone know if the 2002 zx6r has that middle drain plug too? Or is it just the water pump one ?
Jimmy Joe there isnt a drain in the middle like on this bike
At 1:49 what is that clear bottle looking thing, to the left of your hand? Mine has a hole in it
It’s a reservoir for excess liquids mine broke and I didn’t replace it, it’s not a big deal
What size is your rear tire?
So how much coolant should you put in? do you fill up from the radiator until its full? just don't wanna over fill or under fill advice appreciated
+Stephen Maul you fill radiator to the top and if you have an overflow then you fill to the line that says "max"
You still
Man.. way to much .. add a drop or 2 of dawn.. run it.. drain it..flush it and refill it.. unless its super dirty that's completely unnecessary lol
I quit!
