EVERYTHING YOU HAVE RECOMMENDED HAS BEEN SO DELICIOUS MY HUSBAND IS POLISH AND HE WAS NEVER A SALAD PERSON BUT I MADE THE SHRIMP CEVICHE AND HE COULDN,T GET ENOUGH OF IT. THANKS
I LOVE everything lime-flavored. There is a recipe I use a lot because my BF is vegan, so instead of the fish/shrimp, I used cooked lentil, lots of lime, and same all ingredients as you. AMAZING option for vegetarians and vegans. :)
Everyone has their way of doing ceviche,,, one key note is to drain the shrimp before you add the veggies.... Plus serve on a tostada smothered with mayo and dot on top with chile valentina,, you wont regret it, so delish
This is my favorite food channel these days because we have very similar tastes in dishes and the presentation is always so pleasant with Natashas' antics . I have always made ceviche exactly like this from eating Peruvian ceviche from shops in south Florida . The only difference is I like it pretty spicey and leave a certain amount of the jalapeno seeds in for that . Also rarely add cucumber but it is a completely appropriate ingredient . I sometimes also add some firm fish or calamari also and lime cook it . I like mine served Peruvian style with a nice jalapeno/avocado green sauce on the side . Peruvians also serve it with typical side of cold yams and giant corn kernels which I pass on .The way I make it , and like it is usually served in the shops , it is pretty eye watering spicy and you use the green sauce to tone it down while you eat it . Probably as a dish to serve to children it is better to take your approach and make it milder and spice it up as you eat it .
Definitely got me going to make my first ceviche of the Summer! I also add chopped orange and yellow bell peppers for color. Instead of Clamato, I use fresh squeezed tangerine juice with the lime juice ('Evolution' tangerine juice works great) and a shot of Spanish sherry. There is something about the fragrant flavor of tangerine with the lime and the sweet nuttiness of Spanish sherry that really adds something special.
This is how I make my shrimp ceviche too. Thank you for sharing an authentic Mexican recipe! Next time, you should try your ceviche with Tapatio hot sauce.
First of all I would like to say that you are so much fun! ☺ I am currently in the process of making this dish, but I did not buy any Clamato juice because one of the first ingredients in it is high fructose corn syrup 🫨🫨 That is a NO for me! I can’t wait to try this recipe. It looks fabulous!
I make Mexican shrimp cocktail for years, but when I saw your ceviche, I had Mexican shrimp cocktail when you added Clamato (tomato cocktail) into your ceviche. So I look forward to making your ceviche as it’s a Mexican shrimp cocktail but less liquidy. Both have same traditional ingredients so I know it’ll be another hit. Thank you always for sharing
I like adding extra avocado slices on top of my tostadas. 😋 it enhances the flavor even more of the ceviche. 😋 definitely going to have to try this one out! 😋
I love you and what you do. This machine I have had for years and I use it all the time for my salads and special middle eastern salad called TABULEH ❤❤❤ 😂
Looks yummy, I make ceviche once in a while, but prefer fish, usually sea bass or cod, and add onion, celery, a mixture of hot peppers, jalapeno and some red variety like fresno or cayenne, and tomatoes all marinated in lime juice. I don't add avocado but that sounds good, will try that. I also add lots of cilantro, love it. But my secret ingredient is coconut milk, it cuts the acidity of the lime juice and gives it creamy texture.
I love ceviche with chips too. However, I cut up the corn tortillas and fry them, but the key is to sprinkle them with some Tajin seasoning as soon as they come out of the fryer. And like you, I love Tabasco sauce on my ceviche. Great video!! 👍
Some recipes can be very intimidating, but after watching your videos all fear is removed and confidence fills the void. It was my first time making and will not be the last. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.
Watching this again as I prep my shrimp 🍤 Probably my favorite chips are Late July brand, they're organic, and they have so many flavors: plain, jalapeno/lime - my favorite, mexican street corn, nacho cheese, and more. 😋
Looks amazing! You are definitely the best chef ever; you should start a show and air it on national television.Take this advice as encouragement from me! We love u, Natasha! 😙
Scrumptious and delicious is your scraps you don't composted do you have a garden have a wonderful day God bless you and your family God bless America and the world God bless the children and keep them safe👍🏻🙏🇺🇸
Natashas, the clamato is a mixture of clam and tomato juice and you have it in 2 versions, original and spicy. In Canada it is the Mott's company that marketed it - just to let you know !
I've a tip: add mayo to the tostada before the ceviche & for those who like mayo. If you're used to spicy, then add also Yucateco salsa. Elevates it and it's spicy 🥵
Te faltó un poco de aceite de oliva, sal, una pizca de pimienta y un poco de orégano Soy Mexicana y así dará más sabor!! Saludos desde Seattle Washington 😊😊😊😊
I'm Mexican I won't put that ever lol. Ceviche is diffrent according to the region. I like the way it was made but it will be consider a salad in my region. I made it like this and I know is delicious. Just agree with the black pepper.
In south America they dont use jalapenos or avocado ever. This is is a cool version of ceviche,im going to try it. In Ecuador they add ketchup and mustard. Some add a squeeze of orange and olive oil. They always serve it with frie plantains . They don't know tostadas. Thank you . I love your cooking.😊
Thank you for this video. I am glad I watched it. I always had an idea on how to make it but you just showed me the key ingredient. Thank you Natasha! Can't wait to make this. I love ceviche.😊😋🩷
Your video's are so entertaining and educational. I pretty much make ceviche the same but one thing I add after its done is some cut up lobster tail that I cook in a pan with a shrimp scampi sauce, and do not over cook it. I put in in afterward so the lime doesn't soak in the lobster meat. Adds a bit of funk to it and taste divine.
Having been married to a Peruvian woman for 25 years now, I have really embraced the cuisine. Their take on ceviche is certainly different than the more Mexican style. I dare you to give it a try, Natasha. 😉
This is the first video i have seen of yours.. and i gotta say.. you are too cute! love your flair and how you go about your video! I've subscribed because i'm sure i'll enjoy making your recipes or just enjoy watching. Saludos!

@@Natashaskitchen You made a wonderful Ceviche. If I were in the same kitchen - I would've said "look in the sky - pigs flying!" and then proceeded to steal the bowl and drive to a park to eat it by myself. I'm so mean. 😂😂

Wow, Natasha I love your recipes! That ceviche looks so fresh and yummy, id suggest adding some mint leaves, Worcestershire sauce, and my secret ingredient (reduce some of the water where you cooked the shrimp and put it on the ceviche) that will give more flavor to your recipe!
Looks delicious!! I've never had shrimp ceviche but I think I'm going to try to make it for my family. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes with us. Have a blessed and beautiful day Natasha.
First thing I do is cut the onion and put lime and let it cook while I’m making everything else. Is a secret for my husband that he doesn’t like the test of raw onion and it taste so good. 🤗 but is delicious
Oh yeah, Organic chips from Costco, or any good, organic chips, and lots of them, that's how i like to enjoy such food as this. I have all the ingredients, I'll be making this tomorrow. I know it will be good! I will let you know. 😋

Not the Mayo
If tostadas are not available, I use organic blue chips.
Ecuadorian ceviche is similiar but adds orange juice also and it's more like a soup (still cold) and it is served with plantain chips. It's delicious!
