Scarlatti: Sonata in C Minor, K. 84 - Lawrence Schubert

As many of you know, I retired from public performance in 1997 due to problems with my hands. These difficulties create a disturbing inconsistency in my technique and render certain kinds of playing impractical. But I never lost the ability to play altogether.
Having been unable for so long to invite my students - and my granddaughters! - to attend my concerts, around two and half years ago, I began to record these videos to provide the next best alternative. I’m embarrassed at the length of time that’s been necessary for these few short pieces, but at long last, here they are.
I apologize for the unprofessional sound quality! Each video is the result of many attempts over the course of weeks and months, so that they had to be done as homemade efforts - and my expertise in the area of sound production is minimal! The videos are unedited.
There are twenty videos in all, including short pieces by Scarlatti, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Szymanowski and Hindemith.
