He’s complaining but the g wagon is a military heritage car at the end of the day. In fact g wagons are still being built for military use. This is what makes them iconic and special along with Jeep and hummer - all iconic military cars used to fight wars. 🤷🏽♀️

Got my G500 2003 a couple years ago and did an overlander setup.... super durable car off-roading. Took it to the deserts, snow, heavy rain etc etc and still going strong. It my wild roadtrip vehicle
I love/hate my 2016 g63. It’s not about making money on it, I love that it’s legit tough and sounds like nothing else.

The second he started to complain about the doors, I knew he didn't understand the G Wagon. GET A MERCEDES GLE WHICH IS MEANT FOR LUXURY. Not a SUV which clearly wasn't made to be a LUXURY VEHICLE...
i thought there wasn't sound on this video until i put in my left earbud. i dont see how anyone could edit a video with intro and outro with music and miss the single channel audio dialog track for the main video. i think most editing programs these days detect the issue and automatically correct it. perhaps what you're using to record is recording as stereo or you're using a mono mic on a stereo input and its recording the right channel but since there's no input, it records a blank audio track. either way, it can be corrected in post in 2 seconds.

It’s a better suv then the 18 & older g63 in pretty much every way especially the interior but I still opted to order the 18 instead something about it feels more special more g wagon...quirky, narrow, straight axles, headlights don’t look Jeep Wrangler....still love the 19+ but it’s more of a step towards a ML63 then the g wagon of the last 30-40 years.
Do you think earlier years are just as hackable??

Please note that the G Wagon you are speaking of is pre 2019. Mercedes did a big service to those of us who like notable cars, and want performance. For a close to 3 ton vehicle, my 2019 G63 can keep up with about everything on the road and handle just as well. Lets face it, most drivers regardless of what they have can't drive.

Pre 2018 the G-Class W463 was a military truck with a luxury trim package. They never sold the fleet vehicle G-Class variants in North America.

Thought he was really going to shit talk the G wagon. But no, he's not wrong. That's what G Wagons are designed to be first. Rugged and off-road first. But the 550 is what to get when you actually want to go off road. The 63 sucks for it, so the 550 doesn't suck. Personal experience here.

The first owner got ripped off lamo, he roughly lost 50% of the car's value. The best value retaining cars are still land cruisers. I saw used ones selling for 70k . But they cost like 80k brand new so you're hardly loosing any money compared to this bag of shit. Which is still a stupidly expensive wrangler. Great review btw.

Haha, my friend just deposit on the new G wagon, he drove the previous one, said it was the WORST car he has ever driven, but bought it because he could be the 1st one to get the new Wagon (1st on wait list and guranteed apparently by dealer, although im sketpical how allocations will actually play out) and because its low depreciation and he plans to sell it a year after before they become abundant.

The only reason I will get a G Wagon, preferably a 4x4 squared and/or cabriolet, is to pick up barbies, otherwise better of with a Hummer or Wrangler.

I can't make heads or tails out of that one either. My G63 is responsive, I nail the throttle and it moves.

I have had a Hummer h2 had it 7 yrs enjoyed it and miss it I had a Jeep wrangler sahara liked it a lot when you buy a G wagon you flossing you not buying it for comfort I might look at the G wagon

Well I own a 2013 amg g63 !!! And I do no agree wt this guy ! I love it!! That’s what makes it unique! Not like any other suv! I love it ! And trust me is not a Jeep!! Is like saying a 300 looks like a rolls Royce !! I agree and most of his videos but not on this one ! If you need to understand is not a comfortable car! Is not supposed to! I own a Ferrari and a lambo! Trust me they’re not comfortable to drive ! But is a different experience!

The G wagon are too boxy and expensive for my taste. If I wount an expensive SUV any of the HUMMER or LMOO2 I do like the red SUV you have. I have seen on RUclips that the one front piece is plastic leg room in back sucks( more so for tall people)

I guess it depends on the year. I have a 2017 G550. They got a new engine in 2016. The G63 goes 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. The G550 goes 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. Doesn't seem like it's that much slower. My last G wagon was Black on Black. My New G wagon is Blue Mystic metallic Designo. My NEw G has the updated bumpers too. The Blue gets WAY more looks than my Black one did. As far as comfort. You need to be aware of what it is. The G63 is not that much more expensive than the 550. In my eyes if you want a G that much better than buy the G65. Which this is the last year for Mercedes 12 cylinder engines sadly. BTW I've never thought Porche SUVs are attractive. They look like shit after a year. It's like Audi. They look great new but have a short shelf life.
Nobody I know knows how to close my G wagons doors. I always tell them to slam it shut but they are always too scared of using force and breaking it xD. Everyone LOVES my G Wagon though and it's an insane head turner. It's not comfortable to drive at all but I don't daily it, I use it as a weekend car and it's super fun and I get over the ruggedness fast. I really don't have any complaints with my G, mostly its the speed (not as fast as other Mercedes AMG's) and the gas mileage is TERRIBLE but I'm nitpicking at that point. Overall, I think it's the perfect manly SUV as long as you don't plan on daily driving it and use it as an exotic car where you take it out for nice events.
Also, I forgot to mention that G Wagons are EXTREMELY reliable if you do all the planned service and don't abuse it.
