- Premiering on my somethingth birthday!
I did a small poll on Facebook for which album I should do next, this or Pretty Hate Machine. Year Zero won, so here we are! Now, I will always go for professional audio where I can, but some of these only had pro audio recording from Another Version Of The Truth (I found a couple for The Good Soldier from later years, but they weren’t as good). And where possible, I wanted to not use those sources. They're too obvious and seem like the lazy choice. But I had to use them for a few tracks.
This is a random addendum, but I'm SUUUUPPERR happy with The Warning here. I never really gave that track much thought, but here. . . well, you'll see

I’ve seen NIN and it still was not enough, need to experience again and again
@@LedZepUltimateFanPage it is, it's just that he improvs that part every time. I checked and there were no videos of it from the date the audio is from. Plus, most of the videos of it live, like the multicam i used (and still had to chop up) are from 2009, when they did an extended intro that throws off the instruments a bit for audio from any other tour

Heartbroken there’s nothing of My Violent Heart. I always imagined how amazing it would to see it performed with like a similar setup to me I’m not or vessel.

Me I'm Not was the opener when I saw NIN in Birmingham UK in 2013, it was awesome. Never seen My Violent Heart live though.
That Zero-Sum Outro on "In This Twilight" is choice.
Today, on the two-year anniversary of January 6th, this album is still ringing true.

I considered using a different video for Me, I'm Not than this one, but this was the best professional performance both musically and vocally, so I was keeping the audio no matter what. And Trent embellishes differently every performance of this song. So cutting in different vidio made it so disjointed and weird that it looked worse in the end than using the underwhelming quality video I ended up going with here
In the end, it's about the audio anyway.

I will never understand why God Given disappeared after the LITS tour. I know there's not time for everything, but damn, that performance is everything you want at a show: raw energy, a hint of vitriol, and a layer of funk that isn't going to leave anyone standing still.
The funk came from JMJ. Alessandro's live bass parts tend toward simplicity and wouldn't have the same punch.
Pino Palladino would have absolutely killed it though if they'd played it when he was with them.

I actually think year 0 is a super original and different album by Trent, it really is amazing how versatile he is! And I mean the lore of the universe he created is fascinating, seriously. When i first heard I thought, eh sounds weird, but no I LOVE year 0 now
