Those clamps should be in every homeowner's toolbox, no matter how careful you think you are. While I was doing some work on my stacked washer-dryer, I was cutting a zip tie or something not even near the water lines. The knife slipped, and it went right into the exposed PEX water line. It was a mad dash to the valve outside while the laundry nook flooded.
you son of a gun .... with the phone going and all .... you are turning into a director of drama. LOVE IT!!!! well done ... I'm laughing so hard and your point came through tooo. well done. LOVE IT!!!!!!!! best 28 seconds of my day.
Hahahaha it was actually an accident but I like the touch it gave to the video so I didn't mute it out hahahah thanks Eroc, video coming really soon!!!!!!!!!
😳 Nice! Don't know if you planned it but love the ringing phone in the background to add to a panicky moment. Hopefully I'll need one of these put logging this into memory and will check hardware store for availability. Absolutely love your channel. 🙂
we had those in the Marines, on a larger scale, and I got picked - voluntold - and had to train with Naval Shipboard Damage control teams during one of my deployments... I always said if they had these types for home owner use on a smaller scale..it would be perfect for quick damage repair!!!!! ( small note- we had to train in pools of freezing cold temperatures to simulate real world damage.. hated it !!! ) Are you sure you didn't do time in your country's naval service??? Cheers from Maine! ALWAYS AN AWESOME VIDEO FROM YOU !
I remember the damage control trainer in Norfolk...or maybe it was in Little Creek. You have to enter the watertight door with the team...climb down the vertical ladder into a room with multiple floods. Pipe clamps, box seal for holes in the bulkhead that work like a toggle bolt, and K shoring for the hatch on the floor (deck). Everyone gets thoroughly soaked. Fun times
The funny thing is that us tradesmen have all been in the same situation with the phone that won't stop ringing just because our hands are busy! Great video

Hearing the phone going off in the background made this 10x more stressful.
You're so right....!!!!!!
@@captskamp8516 perfectly captured the feeling of being at my in-law's house.
If you were to overlay audio kids fighting and the wife asking you do do some unrelated task, you would have my house.
the phone in the background is perfect lol... someone's always calling at the worse time possible
So true!!!!!!

Yeah like a spare tire that typically comes with a car, it’s a must have!
The water company is calling. They want their water back.

Yup the unanswered phone added intensity to the drama and could have come right out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.
If this happened in my house you would need kids screaming in the background and the wife letting me know that the pipe is leaking.

Would that be considered a permanent fix or just to buy time until it can be repaired in another manner?
Temporary fix until you permanently fix it.

Obvious advertisement but showing that you could unfuck the problem faster than it would take for a plumber to pick up the phone is pretty clever
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Video cut off a bit quick to see if it actually stopped the leak.
Once it's clamped, the leak is contained.
