    A) Dropping your tool down inside a wall cavity wouldn't be such a problem if you were smart like me and tied a string to the tool first.
    Besides, dropping your tool lets you play with another sub-$10 tool like a telescoping magnet pickup or a flexible extension claw pickup tool. Mine from General has a LED light on the claw end.
    B) Before cutting the toilet to flange bolt, thread on a thinner plain nut first then cut the excess bolt. Undoing the second nut will straighten out the cut thread on the end. This will make you look so damn smart, like me.
    Alternatively, you should consider using a deburring chamfer drill attachment and make it look awesome.
    On eBay, search for "Deburring External Chamfer Tool". Try deburring before you install the bolt into the flange.

    If you were to drop the 1/4"-drive ratchet down in the wall, you should be able to recover it with a magnet tool that will snake down in and grab it. Handy to have, and can be used in many applications. Be sure to buy one that will handle 3 lbs. or more. I have one in my kit that will handle up to 16 lbs., yet is not terribly large. Look for these on Amazon, as they may not be readily available at Lowe's or Home Depot.

    These are Great Videos. Thanks for all the information and tips. I have a Cooper pipe question. Type K Copper pipe. For hot/cold water.
    Does the makers of the copper pipe coat the inside with any protective coating to help reduce inside pipe corrosion? And I was thinking on flushing the house pipes by say adding a circulation pump systems to copper plumbing. Adding something like CLR to a water holding tank So to replace all the water with the CLR solution, let it sit for 12 hrs turn the pump on for 2 hours and repeat a few times. Than flush hot water tank and those hot pipe the same. What do you think?

    • @Got2Learn
      @Got2Learn  4 года назад

      I don't believe there is a coating inside the pipe, it's just copper's natural ability to prevent bacteria, like on boat hulls and such. I wouldn't do the CLR thing, I believe there are special soaps for heating systems but I don't think it exists for potable water systems, thanks Rob!

      Yes, this video is plumbing related though ;)

      @@Got2Learn well if you're a plumber get yourself an extendable magnet for under $10 so you can retrieve your tiny ratchet when you drop it down the wall.

      @@Got2Learn Got2Say Mr. Andrews has a good point. That would be plumbing related. If you "often" lose your tools, why wouldn't you have one?

    • @Got2Learn
      @Got2Learn  4 года назад

      You'd need a REALLY long magnet to be able to get down in walls, it wouldn't really be relevant.

    Dropping wrenches? Magnet on a string.

      Unfortunately, that's a pain in the ass if you drop them a significant distance down a metal stud wall with metal cross braces or EMT running through it. There's a Publix in Leesburg Florida with a Klein screwdriveler that someone may have because I gave up.

    People are obviously watching your videos. I checked online for one of the tools you recommended without clicking through and three other tools from this video were suggested.

      Got2Learn I have no idea. But I’m a Plumber/HVAC tech and I like to see some new things. Like the last time I loves the fluxuator and the Drill pump! But this video was too much like the last one. Just wanted to see some other cool stuff. Thx.
