As a Catholic, I admire what I'm seeing here...Reverence!! This is what our "Novis Ordo" mass should be like. I especially like the drawing together of the thumb and index fingers after the consecration. That in itself is a profound act of faith. That's something the modern Catholic Church has lost in the "new mass". What we have lost you seem to have gained. God must be leading you. Many of us are wanting to return to our Sacred Traditions and put the Novis Ordo in the dumpster where it belongs. I long for our Traditional Mass. I wish all of you well and I think you will gain from this. God Bless all of you.
As a lifelong Missouri Synod Lutheran, the liturgy, hymnody and reverence for God's Word and the work of the Holy Spirit in the Divine Worship are most warmly appreciated. Blessings to the saints of Our Savior Lutheran Baltimore.
A reverent Mass in English. Congratulations Lutherans. God gets the worship rather than the assembly. No jokes, hand-holding, praise band. Everyone doesn't have their own microphone. God bless you.
The Willan setting is an Anglican (Anglo-catholic ). setting. It is found in the Episcopal hymnal 1940. Strictly speaking it is not a Lutheran setting though it certainly works. I don’t think it solely Willan as some parts are not Willan. The Preface certainly is.
Luther affirmed the True Body and Blood presence in the Sacrament, and the Augsburg confession states that the mass is retained and celebrated with the highest reverence. Luther didn’t want to break away, but reform, especially Indulgences, works based justification, and withholding the wine/blood from the laity. But he was excommunicated and here we are.
You don't know what you are talking about. Luther constantly defended the traditions of the Catholic Church as long as they were not forbidden by scripture. A traditional Lutheran service is more akin to a Catholic service than a low church Protestant service.

It makes my heart happy to see Lutherans doing the Mass right as we've always done it. Hopefully we'll continue.

This ain’t a lutheran service. This is a Catholic service. Good grief. Isn’t this what Luther got away from?

You must be Baptist or Presbyterian.
This is as Lutheran as it gets!
