- This is how to get somber smithing stone 9 in Elden Ring. These are used to upgrade your special weapons to do more damage.

The boss that he is talking about is optional and you don’t have to fight it. To continue the story find some stairs inside the place where you find the bell bearing and go up the elevator and rest at the grace. Then, go up the bridge and into the boss fog.

I know this is late, and I just got into this game but if you go down the path from the start of the video from the Tempest-Facing Balcony, and loot the bodies on the way there is a somber smithing stone 9 just a little before the Dragon-Temple site of grace. Just found that while doing this guide to get the bell-bearing.

Tip if you haven't beaten that dragon: If you get close enough and hit it with anything once (I normally use an arrow), it flies away.

and for some reason its heath lowers if you kill the birds allowing you to kill it before it flies away

Nah you don't even have to go into the bosses area(Idk if that changed it in a patch or what) but if you right before you start headed down the ledges to the boss go the opposite inside the building be hide it and there it is just lootable

Is this the "final area"? Cus I'm afraid of progressing "too much" and losing access to the Capitol. I have access to this area but I'm wondering should I do halig tree first or this area?

there is no somber stone 10 it’s a different stone to hit the max upgrade called the somber ancient dragon stone or something like that
@@ConCon there's one before you take the lift to Mohg, there are some mobs praying to it

Wish you told me I had to fight a strong crucible knight. Took me 45 minutes to kill the bastard but great video none the less

What's f*ckin' crazy is I already got this or the bell bearing doesn't appear in my game. I'm at the spot and nothing is there and at the shop I have no bells to offer and the smithing stone 9 isn't available... I hope I figure this out and it's not an irreparable glitch
