    I have one of these plants in my living room and it seemed to take a long time to adjust to my house, but it finally did. So, I bought a second one for my bedroom. This plant is so finicky! I lost all of the leaves in the back of the plant, which I’m assuming is because it didn’t have enough light, and some of the other leaves aren’t looking so great. I decided, this morning, to put it directly on the windowsill, which is my husband’s “side” of the room and see how it does. I was happily surprised to see your video when I opened RUclips!! I’m beginning to think that this plant definitely needs more light then the Philodendron Heart Leaf and a Pothos.
    Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴

      Yes! The key to this one is definitely light! When I had it in my bedroom it barely grew at all. Once I moved it to the window this summer it had huge growth!

    Thank you for the abundance of information. I do have a question.
    I purchased my Philodendron Brasil plant in February. It is a six inch plant that’s still in its nursery pot. When would it be a good time to replant this in larger pot?

      Thank you! I use 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to to 1 quart of water (distilled works best). Gently wipe the surface of the leaves with a soft cloth

    It's called 'sun stressed' when it turns pink..just like with every other plant when it's exposed to bright or direct light.Will turn green again after some time..You are welcome 😉

    Hello I have another question, but it's about propagation this time. I am currently propagating 4 curtings from my brasil, I cut bellow the node 2 weeks ago, I am starting to see brown or rot at the bottom of 2 of my cuttings. Do you have any I ideas of why this could be happening?

    • @thecontentedplant7057
      @thecontentedplant7057  2 года назад

      Hi Aubree! I have noticed this occasionally with my Brasil propagations as well. Sometimes the ones in water fail to root quickly. Make sure they are in a nice bright spot and change the water out once a week or so. I hope they pull through for you! I have propagated the Brasil directly in moist soil as well and they have done great that way. They are just a little slower to root and get growth going in the soil propagation.

    I love how the vines are orange. I dont think they stay that way once the vine matures a bit more. My lemon lime philodendron also has orange vines. I have not seen any on my brazil yet but maybe because it gets a little less light than my lemon lime.

    • @thecontentedplant7057
      @thecontentedplant7057  2 года назад

      Hi Mike! Yes I think the color change is so neat on the vines. I'm pretty sure that light plays a big part in that. My Brasil didn't used to have any color change on the vines when I kept it in a lower light area.

    Hello! I have a question about my Philodendron Brasil! Why is it growing a new pink leaf?

    • @thecontentedplant7057
      @thecontentedplant7057  2 года назад +1

      Hi Aubree! The new leaves on the Philodendron Brasil are commonly a peachy pink color. They will turn a deep green color as the leaf ages and hardens off.

      Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! The first year I had this plant it didn't grow much at all. For me the lighting seems to be the biggest factor in promoting healthy and fast growth.
