Psychosis is the most terrifying thing there is. You’re extremely paranoid on top of thinking something horrible is going to happen or even seeing people come after you or chase you. I’ve been convinced so many times I was going to die. I’ve ran through the woods for hours with no shoes or shirt. I’ve also been hit by a car while running from someone who wasn’t there

I used to have that fear when I tried weed a few times and had very bad trips every single time. Some peoples brains/personality cannot handle drugs, especially the anxious type. I have anxiety, so it just never went well when I consumed cannabis. I used to think each time it went badly (and it went very badly) that I somehow "broke" my mind. I thought this for a long time. I assure you, you didn't break your mind. But you may have caused your mind some trauma from the experience. I know I did. The good news is, trauma is something you can completely heal from! It just takes time and it's best done with a therapist. I can't say enough good things about therapy and I believe everyone on this planet needs it! (and deserves it). So if I can ease your mind at all, brains are such resilient things, even after the worst of trips a person could have. Not an excuse to put yourself through potential trauma though. So please avoid drugs whoever reads this

Trictilomania can be a side effect of some psychiatric drugs, it’s a form of OCD, which can be a side effect... even psychosis can also be a side effect in some cases... you may have a case of your brain not being able to shut off your dreaming state while you are awake. Much of what you describe is very much the way the brain works when we dream, very fractured and stuff with intense feelings or sometimes no feeling. You need to stay away from scary movies or weird imagery in real life cuz it just plants more weird stuff in your brain. Thank you so much for describing this... you’re basically having a nightmare while you are awake. Science is showing studies that are making a correlation to “schizophrenia” being a potential sleep disorder, again where your brain is unable to shut its dream state off while you’re awake. If all of us started to dream while we were awake, we’d all sound pretty strange cuz that’s what the dreamworld can be, but it can also be glorious and magical. Scary images are just the expression of your fear via symbols and imagery and emotion. Try to breathe into this when it happens and try to become aware that you’re just continuing to dream while awake and that these images are not real even tho I’m sure it also feels like one of those dreams that’s really real. Sometimes when I’m having a nightmare I try to turn around and talk to that scary thing that’s chasing me and ask it what it wants. It may be difficult to do this while you’re in this state, but mostly try to focus on the idea that what your brain is doing is just dreaming and sort of relax into it, sometimes the more you fight it the scarier it gets because you’re feeling scared so the imagery keeps being scary, the more scared you get the more you see scary imagery cuz it’s just your brain finding images to express that fear.
try to look at positive imagery around you just try to keep your brain focused on the positive not the negative or the fear of the experience or it may just make it worse. Does that make sense? And perhaps start looking into what’s called “lucid dreaming”. Look up therararabbit maxwell hunter on you tube. He experiences things like you, except slightly different but has learned to use lucid dreaming to help sort of quell the voices that he hears while he’s awake. I have sleep paralysis so I kinda have a taste of what you’re going through. When I experience this, the key for me is to kinda go with the fear rather than fight it to get to the other side of it... I think the most important thing you can do is try to RELAX and do exactly what you’re doing by talking about it...Talk about it among people who are supportive, kinda like we all have to talk about our dreams when we have weird dreams which we all have. It helps you gain control and play observer rather than get lost in the “psychosis” or give it power. Make sense? Keeps you in the drivers seat. If you can’t talk to anyone just try to hang onto the positive in yourself, look at positive imagery and know that this WILL PASS. CRITICAL YOU MUST GET GOOD SLEEP, even tho I know sometimes this makes going back to sleep scary but sleep deprivation in and of itself can cause “hallucinations” which just means that our brain goes into a dream state even while we are awake because our dreaming is how it processes the world around us. And it will begin to do it even if our body remains awake. So that’s very similar to what’s happening with you when you have these episodes. I think you just have some form of what I have with sleep paralysis except it just lasts longer and your not paralyzed. But I think the reason you have scary imagery is because you’re rightfully scared. Your body is starting to do something that you can’t control and it’s very scary. And so the images just kinda keep adding up. The good news is your lucid enough to realize that it’s happening which is critical, now just try and keep your mind in a positive direction AND RELAX because by relaxing you release the fear. And in someways I almost think you have to kind of relax into it and realize it’s just a dream and let it sort of speak to you, sort of watch it like a movie, so that you are distanced from it, from the experience, keeps your waking mind or conscious mindSort of in control on some level. Does Any ofthis make Sense? When you say your “paranoid“, you’re just having a scary dream, so of course you’re feeling paranoid, usually scary dreams make us feel paranoid but mostly just scared. Sometimes I try to watch funny movies or just try to surround yourself with positive imagery and watch a lot of comedies or lighthearted movies just move your brain into a more positive space. I hope this helps my friend. You’re going to be OK. There are places that are truly helping people who suffer from this affliction. Look up a therapy that’s called open dialogue, apparently it has an 80% “cure” rate Even for people who have so-called schizophrenia. Feel free to message me on my channel take good care. Look up a documentary about open dialogue, look up the filmmaker Daniel Mackler and the movie, “take these broken wings.” Also if you Google is schizophrenia a sleep disorder, you will begin to find increasing studies showing that there is a correlation between “psychosis” and dreaming. That it may be a simple case of a sleep disorder where your brain is just continuing to dream while you were awake. The key is to move into a state where you can learn to work with that dream state so it is less scary and recognizable as just that - a dream state. And everyone can relate to how strange dreams can be, so you’re not weird your brain isn’t weird, just dreams are. It’s the nature of dreams, they’re strange and we all have weird and strange dreams, mostly that’s trying to recognize it , that’s all you’re experiencing and stay in a place where you can feel reassured that you’re not losing your mind. Also avoid stressful situations because that makes it worse and just stay away from people who aren’t supportive. They’re idiots. Wishing you the best sending you lots of love, you’re going to be OK. And thank you for being so courageous as to share your experiences.

      @Boris Karajuan
The increased risk of psychotic symptoms only applies to strains which have a high ratio of THC to Cannabidiol (i.e. Sativa strains). Cannabidiol dominant strains (i.e. Indica strains), on the other hand, are anti-psychotic.
Sativas have high relatively unopposed THC (hallucinogen) levels. This tends to be activating, but in some people it can cause increased anxiety and even paranoia. Long term use can result in effects similar to those of long term high dose amphtamine use.
Indicas have relatively higher canabadiol (CBD) levels which moderate the effects of the THC that is present. Indicas tend to be so sedating that most people can only use indicas at night.

Taking pure THC is nothing like taking the huge plethora of cannabinoids present in different strains of cannabis.
Pure THC can cause healthy subjects to experience psychotic symptoms.

For many, experiencing a "bad trip" comes naturally and completely unwanted and unexpectedly through the terrifying symptoms of a psychotic episode, like with this unfortunate person in the video. It boggles my mind that some people actually choose to take drugs in order to experience similar feelings of not being in control of what you are seeing, hearing, or feeling. This is why I don't do drugs. I would never voluntarily choose to trip out, I experience it plenty when I have PMDD psychosis. It's not fun and it's not fair :( But it is my journey. Hope you're doing better, My Odd Experiences! You are not alone! Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight of spreading awareness like you're doing. People will accept it more when they see that it affects people who are just that - people. Good luck and take good care of yourself

Your not alone dude..I'm going through a psychotic episode right now
What I'm hearing is a static hiss, However plain static sounds with a quiet and very disturbingly distinctive long hiss, it's just the sssssssssssssssssssssss part, White and black dots of Multiple shades and shapes turn into Demonic-Like symbols, but there not demonic but actual words being said but.....Imagine a Glass one way mirror and add another mirror behind it with static instead of glass, then if you were to think of the word the word is trapped in the static mirror but you can hear the word and its displayed on the mirror in front of it but messed up, Geometry like demonic real words
And this figure I'm seeing is an 8'3 Black male, Distinctively black from his voice but toned down, Picture the voice you would hear in a Ghost hunter episode on an EVP but deep, and static
He is completely Chared in 4th degree like burns, But fresh blood and black ooze drip from his freshly cuts and gashes, Revealing blood red Muscles, Bones and veins...Eyes nothing but a Neon Red but instead of the pupil and iris of the eyes, it fades into a pure white from the Neon Red, he smells like how Weed smells but added with a combination of a smell of a sugar like substance, kinda like syrup and very old moldy Orange

Thank you for sharing your experience. My heart completely goes out to you. Amidst all of what you are seeing and thinking, it seems like you're handling it very well. You're remaining calm and thinking through things despite all of the hallucinations telling you to think differently. This disease I believe is turning you into a courageous person, as most people do not have the kind of challenges that you have. Watching your video helps me to admire you and all the other people who suffer from schizophrenia. I will keep you in my prayers.

I have visual schizophrenia never have gotten auditory and seem to have similiar symptoms as well as not just seeing shadow people by incarnated people driven by demons. Would you say its a HSP feeling that comes over you high sensitivity and less to do with energy intensity in psychosis?

I know this is old but I hope you have a support system, I wish I could be there for everyone in your position. I hate that there hasn’t been a break in a cure or anything better than what’s out there now. I wish I could take your pain away, I wish I was smart enough to help people in like situations. I can’t imagine how Covid is to you or others suffering like you seem to be. I am so sorry I am not there to frigging hold you and tell you everything isn’t real while you’re going through these what must be horrible things. Why the brain decides to pick the shittiest things to show you instead of pretty, happy or loving things....just know that although I might as well be a rock lying in a driveway, I’m rooting for something or someone to change how your life is right now. My family and I are here wishing you keep yourself safe and to hopefully one day be helped more than in this video shows. Lots of hugs.

I THINK I see you on a side note... maybe it's an update. I can't fathom the pain of what you are enduring. Go as slow as you can with your thoughts and tell those bastard visions to move on. Me myself haven’t experienced a full blown psychotic episode but I was on the verge after a bad trip on marijuana. My mind got more and more stressed because I felt something was really off. After a while I started having anxiety attacks and then it went into panic attacks. My family took me to the hospital and they told me I had gotten anxiety and if I didn’t sleep nor eat or didn’t take more of psychedelics then it would turn for the worse and I would most likely end up in a psychosis. My anxiety still didn’t calm down though after hearing this, because I was still 100% sure I would develop a psychosis. I even started hallucinating, seeing dimmed lights flashing even though they didn’t and started hearing people saying my name when they clearly said something else. I even heard planes fly buy my ears or flies buzzing in my head when I was about to sleep. This would of course make me get even more panic so I started going on medications (which I still use) Zoloft or antidepressants to cure my panic and that helped a lot. Now (after half a year since the bad trip) I don’t have these weird hallucinations or the anxiety but I still feel distorted, like I’m not in my body and that everything feels like a movie that happens in front of my eyes plus a lot more minor things but this is durable.
So I can really relate to this even though I have never experienced it and I hope that he gets back to normal. I can see that this guy has a lot of willpower and I think that will help him get trough this. He is also open to talk about his struggles which is the main key to recovery. Me myself is also good at this and my psychologist told me that that’s the reason I managed to avoid a psychosis, and I can see that he also has that.
And almost everybody gets trough a psychosis, even schizophrenia, especially if you manage to talk with people who helps!
So I wish you all the best, and I believe in you! You will recover!

I'm not Schizophrenic, but I do have psychotic episodes. I completely understand your hallucinations and paranoia. My hallucinations come in the form of hearing things. It's not always voices, but sometimes it's just phantom sounds. I have a "sort of" mantra that I repeat to myself when things get bad. I start saying out loud, who I am, where I live, who my family is, etc. It seems to help ground me by saying what is true and real.

First thank you for trusting us to share the experience with. It has to be so hard to “keep it together”. My best friend is schizophrenic, he says that Im one of the only ones he shares with because he has never felt that I was “one of them” like everyone else. That it’s s conspiracy to get him. He sees creatures with glowing eyes and aliens. I know it’s really tough for him finding the right mix of meds, I wish you the very best in that. He says he frequently experiences paresthesia. He now has a concoction that keeps it more than bearable almost all the time. I wish you wellness happiness peace and safety. Enjoy

I’m so sorry that you have to suffer from this. But I’m glad you are aware of the situation. Currently I have someone very close to me, who is having these episodes where he thinks people are following him and trying to kill him. He thinks that everything is hacked and all I can do is listen to him. If I tell him that it’s not happening he will become enraged. I don’t know how to help him and it scares me, because I know how scared he is.

It's interesting that you're having hear symptoms and yet are able to describe them with perfect clarity and insight and articulate them coherently. When my sister was psychotic she didn't hear voices or hallucinate but she couldn't speak coherently and her thoughts were all jumbled up and she'd just ramble about nonsense. There's no way she would have been able to have the clarity of thought to make a video and talk about her experience. I suppose different people....

Just keep in mind that this video represents a mild and more lucid episode.
They may have it worse than I do in this video, but helping ground them and calming them down would definitely be helpful in the short term and long term because they'll learn more about how to ground and calm themselves which makes so much of a difference.
I really appreciate what you do and that you want to improve your ability to help. I think I'll make a video on how to get help, not just for psychotic disorders. Do you have advice on what information I should look for?

I try and stick with medications but I feel like it's poison sometimes.
Lately I've been microdosing mushrooms and it helps more that bud atm. Just curious if you've found any psychedelics that have been useful to your particular disorder?

Thank you for the like, sub, and comment!
I personally prefer to stick with my antipsychotics and mood stabilizers when it comes to treating my schizophrenia. The side effects suck, but they’re the most helpful treatment I’ve had. I also think CBD oil helps me with anxiety and hallucinations.
I recognize that THC and psilocybin can be used effectively as medicine for issues like anxiety, but in my opinion, they can do more harm than good when it comes to treating schizophrenia specifically. It varies between people, some people with schizophrenia will be fine, but some could be pushed further into psychosis from these drugs. In my opinion it’s not a risk worth taking for schizophrenia.
Whatever you end up doing, I hope your treatment helps you and your disorder gets better. Best of luck to you!

I “overcome” daily because after being diagnosed for 18 years my experience feeling like everything is psychic is extremely positive and interpreting by some people are narcissistic. “I love you” and “I know” are the most common channeled observations of myself

I'm just curious, have you gotten better ? I'm going through something so similar, I'll hear, see, feel nd sometimes even taste things that aren't even their . It came on so quick nd unexpected, I don't know if it's withdrawals from my antidepressant bc I'd go to school nd once I walk into my first hr, everything don't feel real, anything I hear & see, I don't know if it's actually happening or not . Like I get sooooo paranoid, I just recently started getting on meds over the Summer so I don't know if my body isn't made for meds or if I'm actually paranoid, I'll go through an episode of shaking, my whole body will get hot, I'll start to feel like I my lungs are closing up on me, my mouth gets super dry, my jaw will starter to chatter as if I'm cold, I go through hot nd cold flashes nd closing my eyes makes it worse . I get so scared even to close my eyes bc I think I'm gonna die in my sleep so that has to do with my sleeping . Since I took half on my antidepressant my thoughts haven't changed as much but my anxiety nd worrying went down by a lot. I been looking up diagnosis nd symptoms all day long, if I see something like that it's permanent or can't be cured, I immediately freak out nd start to panic but then I tell myself it's okay it'll pass, it's just in my head, you weren't diagnosed so it's fine, like I have no idea what to think or feel .

This is such a terrifying thing to experience, but I hate the way schizophrenia is so demonised in places, in certain cultures it's seen (along with similar differences) as a gift, to allow people to see what others can't, think about that kind of power used for creativity, it's incredible, I can honestly say that I believe it to be a gift, I experience quite heavy dissociation from time to time, I've been pretty good with it recently, but I crave it, I love feeling like I'm not on earth, or feeling like nothing is real, it's an incredible feeling that I wouldn't never experience without dissociation, it's helps me creativly with art and acting too
