Hi quick question, Mark from Ontario Canada. Purchased this product last year and working fine. Question I have is how many times should I swage the ball/shank terminal ? I'm currently doing it 3 times . I see your doing it two times. I know there is a micrometer measure standard that you can measure the diameter of the ball and shank circumference. I just dont want to "over swage" and damage the ball shank on the cable which I'm thinking may weeken it. I'm basically using this for fitness cable applications. Or...is swaying it twice like you demonstrated it good enough? Or do I need even bother measuring if I've swaged 2 or 3 times and the end termination is as strong as you mentioned here in this video?
    Thank you
    Mark.

Hi Mark Thanks for the comment.
If you are using our ball fittings they are malleable so pressing them 3+ times until you get the desired finish will not over swage the fitting. The two presses in the video are solely as a demonstration to show you an example of rotating and repressing.
When pressing ball fittings you are looking to achieve an even reduction and smooth shape with a minimal ridge line. In some instances this will be achieved very few presses. We would recommend that any termination should always be checked to ensure full reduction has been achieved. It is also good practice to ensure that the wire rope you are using is the correct diameter for the fitting.
Hope this helps. For any more advice or to find out the specific after swage of your fitting please visit www.tecni.uk. Thanks again
