Yeah. I'm not super into impromptu/unscripted singing lol. But I always admire those who can just "jam" and riff along with others. I started piano in second grade and played for about 15 years but I'm too "logical" with my playing. I tried to jam out on a keyboard with some friends on guitar and drums but I just can't process music/chords in progression that fast on the fly and since then I'm just amazed how some people do it so effortlessly.

@Jenny VanderPas you know it may sound like it's thought of before but it is possible to hear a chord progression, understand the key and just wing it with the words and it often comes out sounding pretty good. There's a podcast called Off Book where it's basically this, they take a subject, have a person accompanying them and they improvise a whole musical. Ive also done it before with my friend where I just freestyle over something, it's easier when you can joke around with it and its ok if it's nonsensical but still rhymes well

This one didn't seem very improvised...more like they had the ideas ahead of time.
@@jenewok They might get some idea ahead of time but the lot of the line is improv on the go tbh. Like Chanse one with 7-11. Also Josh is def read the cast's song on the fly to make the appropriate progression.
@Jenny VanderPas you know it may sound like it's thought of before but it is possible to hear a chord progression, understand the key and just wing it with the words and it often comes out sounding pretty good. There's a podcast called Off Book where it's basically this, they take a subject, have a person accompanying them and they improvise a whole musical. Ive also done it before with my friend where I just freestyle over something, it's easier when you can joke around with it and its ok if it's nonsensical but still rhymes well
