That made me crack up so much because everyone was struggling to find their vibe at the start. I was actually thinking, "Why are they overwriting what the other person just said?" Using "Yes-And" is hard to remember to do every time, especially with a number of new folks in a group. They turned it around really well and avoided becoming a bunch of Michael Scotts. This is a good example of why doing improv is harder than just being funny on the spot. I imagine there was some gentle nudging in the middle there, which prompted Shane's bit.

watching this now that Angela is such an integral part of the Smosh cast is soo nostalgic😭😭
This was kind of a game-changing video for me. I hadn't been watching Smosh for several months and then I came across this and was like "Whoa whoa whoa who are all these new people???" because I had never seen Chanse or Patrick either. And all four of them were absolutely killing so hard and clicking with the older cast so perfectly, it was actually bizarre how fresh and energized this felt. It was like Smosh had leveled up, there's no dead space and almost every bit has a solid punchline. One of the best TNTLs, it's too bad Matt didn't stick around for whatever reason.

I'm genuinely surprised how well they can all instantly click with eachother and combine their narratives to create the most wild yet oddly believable scenarios. Like the biker roleplay one. That one broke me.
They all start with one line and the other just "gets" it. And they instantly can guess what kind of narrative is gonna play out, and they already know how to respond to eachother. It's so good.
