      @@averageodd It's for open division like Jonas said, but open basically means anything is allowed except magazines must be a certain size (or smaller).
      They're super heavy usually with extremely light triggers, the lightest slide they can have, a frame mounted optic rail, and a muzzle brake (usually part of the barrel).
      They also have a charging handle because the slide is so small which is kinda funny.

      Exactly right. Those are very competitive prices especially with a reinforced under trigger gusset and polished out sharp edges to prevent cracking. If you shoot volume, especially in .40 S&W your guns break. I’ve killed two Glocks, a G22 and a G35 that way, (change your recoil springs, OFTEN!). My Bul has over 100,000rds through it and is well ready for retirement, I’d really like to hold and shoot a couple of these. (I usually just shoot Glocks because cheap and easy is a thing too, although it’s been two years since my last event).

    Forgive me ladies and gentlemen but I am a 90's kid and when I hear the acronym "STP", I immediately think of _Stone Temple Pilots._
    Later on during my greaser years, I slowly accepted the STP logo as _"Scientifically Treated Petroleum"._ Which in turn fit my lifestyle perfectly being that I love both the band STP (during the Scott Weiland era) and the lubricants.
    This naturally led to the appearance of the STP stickers all over my shop, both at home and at work.
    Nonetheless, I admire any and all 2011 models regardless of the acronym or the manufacturer. However, if I were to add any constructive criticism, I would state that the US market requires that most (if not all) 2011 models include a light rail of some kind. I personally think it adds to the overall aesthetics of a pistol but I digress.
    Furthermore, a barrel length between 4" to 4.5" would be ideal for adequate concealment. I think it is safe to say that not everyone who buys a 2011 does so strictly for competition purposes. They seem to be gaining in popularity for the concealed carry/self defense market.
    Stay classy my friends.

      The P stands for the man' s name Prommersberger. He is ( in german) Büchsenmachermeister ( master gun smith?). Here in Germany a ,Waffenschein' ( CCW licence ) is not impossible, but if you are not very rich, very ( very!) difficult to get, so the market for such concealed carry weapons is so ( so!) small , that small german companies are not interessted in producing selfdefence weapons. With exeption of Heckler & Koch, Walther and second class revolver company Weihrauch - Arminius no german company produces selfdefence weapons.

      I own an STI Trojan 6. STI and STP for all intents and purposes is the same weapon. The Trojan is a lot less expensive. And it can shoot a hole in the last one. No need for a 5000€ gun. It's just for your ego. And everyone else will call you stupid for a move like that. Especially if you shoot ammo out of it that cost 5 bucks for 50.

    • @Sqwan2
      @Sqwan2 2 года назад +1

      @@m4rvinmartian Which gun for 750€ can act like a 5000€ gun without spending another 500 bucks? After a quick search I found 1000€ for 22 lr and 1200€ for 9mm / 45ACP. And the 9mm / 45 ACP are still 5", so not exactly what you really want for sports. In 6" it starts at about 1400€. If you search a bit longer you most likely find both guns for about 200€ less.

    • @Sqwan2
      @Sqwan2 2 года назад

      @@m4rvinmartian maybe in the US, you can do that. I don't know the price differences.
      But if you still have the Armscor for 750 bucks, pls do da trigger test. Is it breaking at exactly 1000g? If so, how many rounds have your fired? Will it still break at 1000g aber 50.000 rounds? How good is the trigger set? Du you have trigger creep? Is it breaking like glass? How about the "optic"? Is ist sharp, with exactly the right space to get a good picture? How is it feeling? Can get grap it and it fits like a glove? How is the slide working, is it tight? How about the recoil spring - is it build that most ammo will spit its case online a meter?
      How is the barrel locked? Can you wiggle it?
      Just to clarify a few things bevor we discuss if 750 = 1500

    • @Sqwan2
      @Sqwan2 2 года назад +1

      @@m4rvinmartian Yeah. I do at least 5000 rounds a year. So in 10 years I shoot 50.000 rounds.
      In germany we can have 2 hand guns as default. A 3rd is still easy to get. If you shoot lots of matches a 4th might be possible. As they said, in germany guns are not sold like bananas. You have to fill a form, get that signd by your "Shooting-Club", get it signed by an organization and than you have to go to the police to get an entry in your "weapons card". You have to do that for each weapon. If you sell a weapon and want the same again, you have to do it all over again. We really put thought in a gun we buy and it has to last for a lifetime.
      If you buy a cheap gun, a 500€ tuning might be a trigger job. That is most likely what you get for 500€. But than it works like a charm.
      Of course most guns have the potential to outperform their owner. Even a Glock does it. If you wan't to shoot 360 out of 400 rings over 25 meter, you have to be a really really good shooter to do it with a glock. Take a STP Target Master and you will most likely shoot 350 out of 400 on your first try. Bevor SIG was sold, an SIG X-Six was the same, 350 was a no-brainer.

      Well, there's a major down side to IWA - it's a specialized trade fair and not open to the public...
      I got in there once in 2019 on a press pass, but they severely restricted press access since then and you'll have to show them examples of your work in actual gun related magazines/formats.
      The booths are very classy and manned with the best engineers and experts because they expect to make big deals with commercial customers only.

    A neat steaming video Mr.James. Have the Germans lost their desire to build Luger kind of pistols and only make 1911s? I would rather have/buy this pistol than a semi auto bullpup.

    Well it’s good to have something like this in Europe…because we can’t get US 1911 here( maybe some but you have to have some shady connections). And of course now I don’t have to imagine myself with just Korth anymore do I?

    • @maximilianmustermann5763
      @maximilianmustermann5763 2 года назад +1

      You can definitely get Les Baer 1911s in Germany without shady connections. They are available in normal gun stores. Kimber as well.
      I've also seen Wilson Combat 1911s in a German store, although for a relatively insane price (I guess when the manufacturer doesn't have an official export/import route to Europe, the store have to import small amounts themselves which makes the price go up significantly)

    Mercedes of Handguns? Does that mean its over priced, poorly engineered, breaks all the time, and only maintains its reputation for longevity by replacing every part on it but the frame?

    MONTGOMERY - Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday signed House Bill 272, known as the constitutional carry bill, into law, defending law abiding Alabamians’ Second Amendment rights.
    “Unlike states who are doing everything in their power to make it harder for law abiding citizens, Alabama is reaffirming our commitment to defending our Second Amendment rights,” said Governor Ivey. “I have always stood up for the rights of law abiding gunowners, and I am proud to do that again today.”
    HB272, sponsored by Rep. Shane Stringer (R - HD102), revises certain restrictions regarding the carrying or possession of a pistol and eliminates the requirement to obtain a pistol permit in order to carry a concealed pistol.
