- Today, I show you how I workout with my curly/wavy hair.
This video included snippets of my workout which consists of
Stretching, Mobility & Warm up.
I spent 20 minutes each workout focusing on this step.
Then I focus on functional training and Strength Training which consists of
Goblet Squats,
Glute workouts using resistance bands
Lunges with 5/8kg kettlebells (sometime we include some balancing work in the mix)
T pushups, pushups, spider-man pushups etc
Deadlifts, Kettlebell swings
I do some core as well, using plank variations like russian twists etc.
Then head downstairs for some more Strength Training with some Cardio.
I do step ups, box jumps, jumping jacks, high knees and butt kicks, jogging and even some boxing etc.
Then finally I finish off with some rehab work, stretching and cool down.
My workouts are long and quite intense and take about 2 hours.
I have added some clips so that you get a tense of what a typical workout of mine looks like.
In this video I address how I tie my hair up during, mobility, functional training and cardio workout.
I also take you through how to address your curly hair concerns post your workout such as a sweaty, oily scalp. I give you many store bought and DIY options to cover all bases.
I also give you several options which are cg friendly for refreshing you scalp and the lengths of your hair.
I also address the differences in how to take care of oily vs dry scalp post your workout as well as give you different recommendations on your refresh
based on your hair porosity.

So much information punched in one single video! I absolutely understand when you say "don't do anything post workout and wait till the evening to see if they really need some loving"... I do the same! Refresh does not work on my hair at all since i have medium porosity hair, or maybe I was doing it all wrong 🤷.. Definitely want to try the mousse, just coz it looks so easy 😅. Thanks, useful tips. I too am type 2, high porosity (and thin strands) and want to grow loOooOOoOng hair (I mean technically I already have 'long' hair but you get the point). Well, not extremely long, about butt level, further down is just not practical for me (I am also a low manteinance person). Before doing some research I used regular shampoo and (sometimes...) conditioner, which caused my head to be permanently frizzy, no matter the brand, and my ends suffered a lot. I have always had bad split ends, the longest I could grow my hair was waist level, if I tried to grow it longer the ends would split faster than my hair grows, and my hair grows fast (luckily! I also could never keep bangs because of it). Now, my goal is moisture retention. If after exercise I don't bother refreshing at all (which would be my 1st preference, I'm very chill lol, also because it's freezing where I live right now) will the sweat dry my hair too much and compromise my hair retention goals...I don't think I sweat a lot from my head thankfully. Also, should I keep my hair up in a loose bun most of the time (I have high density hair and if I don't gather it it really gets in the way, feels too hot) or would that interfere with sebum coating the strands...
Thanks for your work, I have started this hair journey only a month ago, I am excited about all the possibilities but also overwhelmed with info. To me curl definition is very nice, but only a secondary goal to retaining my ends.
I think serums and oils will be your friend. Maybe try looking into it. See if it makes a difference.
If not try to seal the ends with some flaxseed gel. Worth a shot.

Hey di.....I have a question....i know this message will be a little long bt plz read this and help me....see I am a college student so I have to go outside everyday...I have low porosity wavy hair and I have started cg just before 1 month.....now I live in howrah and here the temperature is very high now...i generally wash my hair on Saturday....so can i wash my hair with plain water and then style it with only alovera gel on the alternative day throughout the week ??? Just to look presentable everyday and also for my scalp refresh....i want to know that if I follow this routine can it gonna damage my hair on anyway?? Really need this ans plz do response di 😕
Does the foam help in adding volume or just hold?
Just hold. Volume could be a by product, since the mousse is very very light weight. But I wouldn't say the volume was significantly more than usual. Maybe just a tiny tiny bit.

Can I wash my hair everyday after workout? I've short wavy hair above shoulder length🥺
It's not recommended to wash your hair everyday. It will cause damage over time. (You could look up hygral fatigue for reference).
Try to prolong it to atleast a few days.
I did make a quick wavy hair routine for busy people recently. Maybe it's worth a watch to get some ideas.

Hey Tejasvi! if you're working out frequently there might be salt build up on your scalp.

I think please look into my rake and scrunch video. (Use a Leave in + mousse). Wash more frequently. It might help with the flakes and the sweating.

Frequent washing like every 3rd day, but are we allowed to wash so frequently & every wash will require styling, is that ok in CGM
@@tejasvireddy8051 according to the curl girl method, wavy hair washes (with a cowash, not a shampoo) once a week, curly hair once in 10 days and kinky hair even lesser.
But I doubt it's possible to follow it strictly in india because of the weather, the dirt the dust the polution. You'll have to modify to see what suits you best. I sweat a lot during my workout as well. But I've noticed that dry scalp massaging helps me. I don't refresh much at all.
You'll need to experiment and see what works for you best. The main concern here is the flaking.
So try to alter things a bit. If you rake and scrunch it's not doing to take any time at all. If you substitute a gel with a mousse, you hair will dry much faster as well. So maybe increase the washing just a tiny bit and see if it makes a difference at all. (Since you're saying that the shampooing less is the problem)

This tym i did cowash & due to lack of time, i followed R & S method. Will notice results this time.
