Superbe ! Magnifique !!
Excellent carving skills. What I like most about your work is it's so clean, I don't see a single scratch on this horse. respect from a young engraver like me ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Goodness. That's amaaaaazing. How to even start? I think id have to practice body parts . Like do 20 front legs, 20 back legs. 20 heads snd thrn try doing a full horse. Just beautiful work. So much care on each shaving. And brilliant to watch. Couldnt look away
Stunning work! I like it before AND after the painting. Besides that, I can totally see that you put a lot of effort filming and editing the video. The video quality is great! I’m so happy youtube recommended your video to me.😊
Thanks for sharing your mastering on wood carving. The patience, the tolerance, the keep on time, are just human qualities that you should have developed in your life. Stunning.
Can I have those chisels as an heritage, please? 😆😆😆 I love the video and how you carve, I can easily learn from details... thank you so much for sharing!
An originally master. An originally Artist. An Originally Artwork. An Originally Tools and Originally job. I appreciate to have you in world ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i like the paint job! not sure what other commenters are on about, i think it gives it a lovely depth. letting the grain peek through is a beautiful touch. this sculpture is absolutely incredible!!!
❤ stunning craftsmanship. I also think staining or just oiling would be prettier, but its gorgeous either way. I personally like the look of "painting" with stain so that it has the feel of multiple colours but you still see the grain through.
Beautifully Done, Thank you so much for sharing your work! Some of the cuts after sharpening your tools make it feel like you're shaping butter its so satisfying to watch! Great job!
Lovely carving! Thanks for sharing🙂. You inspire me to "have a go soon" at those horses for the Stagecoach. I am going to use Cherry as apparently, a nice wood to carve with. The color will be nice. Your opinion would help. I see you have your horse hooves anchored to the wood. I am thinking of doing the same but afterward removing the hooves all from the wood and then having pins come up from a false bottom into the hooves. This will then create the same common ground as the Stagecoach. Hopefully with not too much effort. Sharp tools are a must and what a lovely sound your chisel made slicing through wood. Gives one the feeling to carve.
because you use power tools doesn't mean you're fake carving lmfao it's still carving since you literally make dents and take off material. Its faster and generally more convenient all across the board with "dremels and grinders" except for details maybe where you'd need to be softer with hand tools. If anything it's objectively better to spend less time for a similar finish cause you can make more and make more progress, evolve. Taking that 10k hours to practice hand skills is more about passion than productivity imo anyway
I think this is an incredible carving and it looks just perfect as it is..I like to carve too but wish I had your talent..Thanks for inspiring me to do better.
It looked very much like a Fresian before it was painted. They are solid black. But still amazing work! I’m sure it isn’t easy carving the inner parts as well. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
really great work, the line on the back bothers me, the block of wood seems to consist of two parts, what kind of wood is that? do you prefer a certain brand of carving irons, i myself use them almost exclusively from the Pfeil company
I think it's a natural crack in the wood, only seen when getting to rough shape it at the start, the wood, which is Lindon (same like Lime and Boxwood) can be expensive and I admire him to keep going on with the carving, some would just start again on a different block, maybe he didn't have anymore. Tools look like a mix of good quality chisels, Pfeil amongst them.
The bar is glued from two parts. I tried to match the grain direction of the wood so that it looks like it's one solid piece of wood. It is very difficult to find a good, crack-free wood blank for carving, so you have to glue it. I have chisels from very different companies, but unfortunately I don’t have Pfeil, I want to buy several pieces in the future.
@oldschoolcarving7926 the wood match was great, sadly it's the glue that makes the line. Yes your right about sourcing large blocks, most are 4"x12"x10", I've been looking for at least 12"x12"x12" and at €270 it's out of my league..
I love your work. People are weird about purity of material. It’s like saying a work of pottery is no longer art bc it’s painted. Great job!

Absolutely beautiful. Great craftsmanship it’s great to see a piece like this made by hand in a world of CNC carvings.
I've been around horses my whole life and I am impressed by your carving. The proportions are right, you captured the look of a horse in wood.
Yes, but it wasn't easy 🙂
Beautiful stunning horse. If it was black I would have taken it to be like a Friesian horse.
Beautiful work
Have you ever been chiseling away and a big chunk just breaks off?
Your work is really beautiful and inspiring.
@LEE-kq9tq
I'm sure a piece of wood that was not meant to come away has broken off. In such an event, maybe he glues it back on...
Excellent work my friend! Great attention to detail.
I personally like the painting. Great form and textures, I love how the wood grain pokes through! Lovely work

Beautiful work..unpainted . Thanks for upload !
Masterpiece! You are gifted...
This vid should be longer. So satisfying to watch.
North to South grain orientation has to be precise and is so crucial! Gorgeous piece!

Beautiful skillful carving! So relaxing to watch!

❤ stunning craftsmanship. I also think staining or just oiling would be prettier, but its gorgeous either way. I personally like the look of "painting" with stain so that it has the feel of multiple colours but you still see the grain through.
Excellent work! Thanks for sharing 😊

Thank you for making this video, I loved watching your process. I'm a 2D artist but I'd really like to learn sculpture in the future. 👍

That anatomy is perfect. Well done.

No Dremel, no grinders, just a sharp edge on Lime wood and 10,000 hours of practice; this is real carving.

Yeah, you're right.
The paint makes it come to life! You can see the wood through the color so it still keeps its wood-like quality. Bravo!
Lol no you can’t. Stain or polish woulda been much better
@@letsgobrandon7310 You can't see the wood grain? Get some spectacles.
The horse look amazing after you finished it ...great job 👍
A beautiful work of art.

Excellent work
Lovely piece of wood and nicely chosen for the project. Excellent carving skills. What is the wood you were carving please?
Linden wood
Maravilha, que tipo de madeira será essa?
That's a beauty. My sister is doing one like yours using her one tooth. I don't think it'll be as nice as yours.
😮❤Good evening beautiful peace of art work God bless you and may you live long amin

I also made a pair of horses like you, it took a lot of time
Tuyệt vời! bạn làm nó rất đẹp!!!
Wow that's amazing, it looks like it could jump off the stand and run off.
WOW WOW WOW AND REWOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOBBY
What wood is that? Can I make some as detailed and beautiful with my limited knives?
This is basswood. With a small number of knives, you can also carve such a sculpture, but it will take more time.
Beautifully made....which wood is best for carving
gracias por compartir tu arte
So beautiful!! Wish it stayed natural color though ❤ (it looked almost like marble and details and technique were way easier to appreciate!)
wonderful, thanks for share

que tipo de madera esta utilizando?
Looked like Lime
He said both basswood and linden wood, tho I’m not sure if there the same or which is used
