I can answer anything you want to know he was like shooting instructor in high school I played with his son at Lebanon Richie we used to go out to the park and people would come from all over for these games at Lebanon Memorial Park on the outdoor basketball courts and Rick was about 50 years old at that time and sometimes he would play two or three hours straight maybe four or five pickup games and would not miss a shot it could be a windy day out there and I'm the first to tell you those rims at Lebanon Park are the tightest rims I have ever shot on for a outdoor ct and the guy simply would never miss

I was born in Lebanon but grew up in Lafayette. Obviously, all the extended family were big Rick Mount. One of my earliest memories is when Mount hit the last second shot against Marquette to send Purdue to the Final Four. We were at my Grandma's house in Lebanon and I just remember everybody, screaming, jumping, and hugging each other. Pretty special. Be well.
The best pure shooter in all of basketball ever still holds records for the most points in a college basketball game 81 points and that was without the three-point shot too bad the guy was a complete freak though his son was decent when he played but Rick Mount was banned from coming to any of his child's game at Lebanon because he was such an a******
Rick had 61 Points against Iowa - Not 81 . But he had the best Jump Shot Ever in Basketball. What ever happened to his son ? I was told he tried Purdue but that didn;t work out - and he transferred to ?? Not sure where - do you ? Thanks
CAP Scott! CAP bro. You can literally knock on Rick's front door and he'll invite you in for morning coffee without even knowing you. Just have on some basketball shorts and dont say you like any of the coaches he doesnt agree with. Man loves the game and loves people dont believe the hype. Sure he's cocky but you cant be a great shooter or even player without that mentality.
@@stever1791 Richie is a good guy / police officer in Lebanon. Probably didnt work out at Purdue because of the way Purdue always has been.....How many good kids did Matt Painter transfer away because they didnt fit the 'style' at Purdue (no championships style).. Anyways he now looks like NFL middle linebacker now from the gym.

Good point on Rick's Mentality. At Purdue , he was unstoppable on the jumpers, @@tameraward5112
