It is lucky bag time again and I got a bunch of lucky bags from Akihabara :D
There was some great figures and items and some really weird stuff but overall it was really fun.

Happy New Year! Lucky bags seem to have pretty good value for the price, even if you don't always get figures you're hoping for. I like the bags that have a theme like Evangelion.

I was so happy to see the "Non Non Biyori" figure of Natsume, NNB is a great anime and I have all the manga, the three seasons and the movie. It is well drawn, funny and has great characters. You will really enjoy it. I also was happy to see the Chino figure from "Is the order a rabbit?" I have all three seasons of the anime and five scale figures on my shelf. Although I enjoy seeing your reactions to the lucky bag contents, I am so picky about figures and merch that I would never be happy opening them. Sigh!

I love Non Non Biyori, have been reading and watching for several years. It is very light hearted, just the daily lives of a group of girls living in a rural area, but it is very well captured and fun. I am not sure if the genre is your taste but definitely recommend a watch.

Was not expecting to see momotaros from Kamen rider den-o. Kamen rider den-o is one of my recommended Kamen rider show.
I started watching Non non byori recently and would recommend it if you like cute wholesome anime.
I hope you can sell the ones that you dont like and breakeven. That 1st and 2nd bag, I thought you pull a good one with your reaction and it turns out to be a duplicate lol

Those lucky bags always seem interesting and the trouble you have to go through to get them. Sometimes huge lines of people are waiting outside of stores also. Nice haul there :).

That figure that looks like Strike Witches was a precursor to the series with some of the same creative team. I got a figure from that show and was also confused.
The second box was so worth it for only 3000 yen. I would love the adult figure which already is worth more than the box

I bought the non non biyori nendoroid for my boyfriend for his birthday. It's one of his favorite anime, and I highly recommend it 😊
The ¥1,500 bag was amazing. The cute kitty blind box is called the Food on Top series by 52TOYS and it’s a collection of kitties with food on their heads. 😻 I buy them up whenever I can find them because they’re pretty popular and sellout fast.

You could sell any duplicates or anything that you don't want and make some money. But look the stuff up online and see what it's worth first that way you can price it properly

From my understanding, Fire Girl is a light novel from Type-Moon, the same company that made Tsukihime and Fate. I haven't read it yet so I'm not sure if it is good or not but it may be worth looking into.

The Kamen rider figure is monotaro from den o…. Not me fave rider series but not a bad one …. Lots of time travel and jumping from one timeline to another so … wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner

It's a bit bad half of the 30 dollar bag being in the 150 dollar bag. It means the rest of that bag is doing a lot of heavy lifting to make up the extra 120 dollars.
I so hope you do more lucky bag openings I wait all year to see these since I cant buy them in the states I love seeing what others get 🙂

These lucky bags inside are mostly old stock items, I guess that one way how shop clear out there old stock items !
I am visting Tokyo soon and planning to bring some of my old figures to sell. So, I wonder if you can make a video on how to selling figures at one of the hobby store (like mandarake).
Happy New Year. Love the Midorima Shintarou figure from Kuroko no Basket, that's the one I'm hoping to get this month from QPosket to complete my collection (only 3 figures are missing). I love Lucky Bags. Here in Germany I have two stores where I can order them online. I ordered at both stores last year, from one shop the bags was most Dragonball, OnePiece stuff in it. One cup was broken but after I wrote to the customer service I got a Nezuko Pop figure as replacement. At the bag from the other store I could tell them what animes are my favourite and they consider it if they have stuff from it in stock and there are japanese snacks in it too.

I wasn’t confident on the Lucky bag while I was there. Odds are I was there around the same time you were😅 I was in Akihabara almost everyday during my 3 week stay Dec 26th-Jan 13th. I brought back an entire suitcase full of Akihabara 😂

How much are nanderoids in Japan? In the US they’re crazy pricey…they’re smaller figures and while there are tons of parts and extras, I still don’t think they should cost 70-90$. The cheapest Id seen (without being on sale) was Felt from Re:Zero for 62$ and I still couldn’t do it lol I’d rather get a bigger more intricate figure for that price. I did try two on AliExpress 😂😂😂 just to see LOL and the Himouto Umaru Chan one I got was nearly perfect (12$) while the Emilia one was so-so (the heads were perfect, Puck was perfect but the bottom section was kind of loose and the paint job could’ve been better on the legs)… just sharing for anyone in the US who wanted to try them out before committing to the real thing ✌🏻✌🏻

They are generally pretty good quality and we'll painted etc.
Most nendroids in Japan ranges from 5000 yen to 7000 yen retail so about $40 to 60ish I think. I agree they cost a lot but they are really adorable😊

I waited a whole year for this episode! haha just kidding. I watched your 2022 lucky bag episode a couple days ago. Should have gone to culture zone, lucky bags from culture zone last year was a lot better. Do not buy bags from this shop in 2024.
