A surprise extra upload this week! Like I said in the video, I really want to hear your thoughts on this one - I hope we can start a conversation about all things motherhood and parenting and being a modern woman ❤️
Also, do you like this casual sit-down kind of video? Let me know if you want more like this... I know it's been a while!

Valeria- this was truly amazing to hear. Seriously. You have no idea how much this means to me. I'm 26, not a mom. Single. But God has confirmed that I'm already a mother. I know one day my moment will arrive and I will be a wife and mother. You are well spoken and you are doing well. Love you so much ♡

You are doing an incredible job Valeria💖 and the love that you get from Gary and your kids is the proof....

You remember me of my mother, 4 girls at 31, and always working as a doctor, she never stop working because she loves it. We grew up with nannys too and I have such respect for the sucess she build for her self. Right now as a grew up women I have the example of a mother who loves us deeply but love herself too. I cant see another better way to live as a comtemporary woman. Thank you Valeria!

I was a young mother too. I too had moved a lot and long distances. I had graduated from high school at 16 years old so when I had my 1st baby at 21 years old, I had already been an adult, paying rent, etc, for 5 years. Six years later I had my 2nd baby, then 2 years later my third, then I had my 4th & 5th very close together. For the younger ladies that you are inspiring; desiring to have a baby comes to different women at different ages, or to some, never at all. But you should be YOU. I love Valeria & her family but you don’t have to copy her. She is beautiful and I can see why you are inspired. Having 5 children myself I can say it’s THE hardest thing I ever did in my life but also the most fulfilling thing I ever did. Bob Dylan said, “I try so hard to be just who I am, but everybody wants you, to be just like them.” I don’t think Valeria is trying to create a giant army of young mothers. She is being herself and please be yourself. Motherhood is a huge responsibility but again, very fulfilling. It will change your life forever to have a child. Valeria is pulling this off with much grace, humour, and honesty.

Her staff of six people, who are working for her channel, are answering the comments. And they delete comments that are pointing this out, like this one right here ;) There was a job description where it was mentioned.
And on top of that she has a night nurse for her newborn, nannies, a cook and a driver. So not really the hard-working, so relatable girl-boss-mom she likes to portray.

I have so much to say to this topic. I am not a mum, I am 26 years old girl. When I have started to watch Valeria (ages ago, years ago) I won't lie I slightly judge that she had nannies.I was wrong. Honestly I feel to not have nannies is slightly old school in Europe. I saw my friends my sister , being mother is hard and challenging. I am guarantee all those mamas who judge to have nannies because they cannot afford it and if they could they would have it too. I will not lie I believe if I have a baby I would love to have nanny too maybe not all days but to have time with my partner. Most mothers forget about theirselfs making them to have depression and unhappiness but there is always solution to everything. Valeria is example to that. You can see she is not perfect (but who is it? ) and her kids still love her from stars till the moon and kind and happy and healthy.

I don’t have kids yet and I’m older than you, but I really relate to you & find a lot of inspiration & motivation in your advice,
Saving this in my playlist for when I need to hear it again. ♥️ Love your family! :)
Btw my boyfriend & I do talk about future kids a lot and something that I really adapted as a great mindset & that I want to be my “rule” is something you said in one of your older videos. You said that your relationship with Gary comes first. And I know it is controversial to even say it, because “you’re a mum, your kids should come first” - but I think a lot of failed marriages and broken kids come from homes where a mum puts them before anything else. Versus when you still put your husband first and you show kids that mommy&daddy love eachother, and them, and show them you’re a team & a united front, that teaches them so much more and makes them stronger and also more loving. So that’s something I will definitely strive to do with my family one day.

Wise words as always. I think as mothers that none of us actually have a clue what we are about when we have a baby. We muddle along doing the best we can and if we can get them to eighteen still alive that is to be celebrated...lol. It is as simple as that. Men do no pressurise each other in this area in the way that women seem to. In our insecurity we hunt for mothering gurus, we gang up on other mothers in herds to try and make ourselves feel better. It demeans us all. I am mother of adults now, I am 57, and I have learned that our individual instincts should guide us as Mum's. Not books, not peer pressure or societal pressure.... just love and our God given instinct. Because we know when something is wrong with our child. We know when something is right despite all appearance. We need to support and and celebrate each other as Mum's in all our varied ways. I support and celebrate your mothering style, Valeria. Your children and husband are blessed to have you. :]

An excellent video explaining why you are different to other 'young' mums in that you are well-travelled etc. That does change a person. I got married at 22, met my husband at 21 and he is 8 years older than me, but I knew the same as you, that with his maturity we could grow together. For different reasons we didn't have kids, but that doesn't mean I don't watch or enjoy videos with kids in them - your children have been brought up to be kind; you can see the love between Ben and Jake and how quick they are to say thank you for an outing or to share with you. That's success.

I feel like even if you come off as someone who is strong and dosent care about people's thoughts and criticism, I think that lately it has affected you because you seem to talk about it alot and seem to feel the need to validate and explain things. All i'm trying to say is that people will always have opinions, including myself. Its so easy to criticize from a computer screen, because no one actually knows you, we just know you from a screen, so it's ridiculous that people criticize this much about your life! People should not be judging, but people always will. So I truly think that, Valeria ,if your feeling's were hurt by people's thoughts and messages, just let it go. Man you have 800K followers, in those followers there are pleeeenty of judgy people but they are still going to continue watching your content. why? because its good. It's real, its interesting, you're beautiful, you have good style, people look up to you, so just keep on doing what you're doing. You're doing great.

I loved the casual sit-down! I can't wait for more! As a mother-to-be, as well as a new professional in the work force, it means a lot to watch someone succeed at "having it all," so to speak. I grew up watching my mother be a wonderful stay-at-home mother and work for my dad's business and help him bring all of his and my sister and my dreams into fruition.
However, as soon as it didn't work out between them, I also had to watch her get left with virtually nothing. She has since built herself up from nothing after all of that, but it was hard to watch and be emotionally depended on so heavily as a kid who couldn't actually help make things better for her.
One thing that you have said that really resonated with me is that your relationship with Gary is an equal priority to taking care of your kids. I want my kids to learn how a healthy, complementary relationship can look, because I had absolutely no examples growing up of what that looked like. I had to go through a lot of relationships and a lot of heartache and even then, once I found my "soulmate" I still almost lost him because I just wasn't sure what was expected of me, how to fight constructively, how to make my feelings known in a healthy fashion, etc. Luckily, my man is very patient and I'm a fast learner, but I want my kids to not have to struggle with that the way I have.
(Not to say I want to live my life solely for my man, I still put my own happiness and self fulfillment first, because no one can give me those things besides myself)

How you show the good and bad side of motherhood is very eye opening for me...and honestly takes away the fear of motherhood I have engraved in me so deeply. I can relate so much to the challenge of having an older dad. My dad was 56 when I was born, and he’s 15 years older than my mom. I often felt like he wasn’t willing to give up his own ways, and I had to learn how to be tolerant and understand that he wouldn’t essentially change some of his characteristics. Honestly that made me a really understanding and more mature kid.
Loved the video, as always! Congratulations for 800K. 👏🏻💕😀✨

This is so beautiful. I am just a mom of one but that transition of having 0 to 1 is the hardest. I am trying to be the best mom I can be and I have mom guilt sometimes and feel so selfish for being selfish for even the tiniest things. I love how to stated how our moms said they have raised us all and how they did everything alone. The times have changed, we don't want to be miserable and deal with everything they dealt with. I want to be there for my child as much as possible but also take out time for myself and know that I have not lost myself completely as a mother. I want to achieve much more in life and show my child that I have achieved all of it while being a strong mom. ❤

I didn't understand what motherhood really is, and now I'm 21 and watching this video. I feel guilty as a child, I should have given my mother the attention too. It must have been hard for her since she was and still is a working woman. Thank you for opening my eyes Valeria, what an inspiration :) God bless xx

I looove your parenting philosophy. You're wise beyond your years and already were when Gary met you; that's why you two are such a good team. You're very mature and have been since, like, 19, which is why you were prepared to take on raising a child while still being a kid yourself. (And also the reason why your friend said you talk like you're old haha.) Because of all this, I'm glad to hear you don't beat yourself up anymore and stopped the guilt trip. You ARE the modern mother and the modern woman. Thank you for this transparent sit-down and of course I want more! Love this so much! Nothing separating or judging, but positivity, encouragement to be strong, and honesty. It is so hard to be a woman in job, in the shiny social media world, with family, doing it all without losing oneself. I will carry your words with me, especially as my husband and i seem to be on a breakthrough with adoption these days.

I'm kind of stuck between wanting kids and also being scared away from having them. I talked with an older women whom I admire and respect a lot. She said this: "Motherhood is always made out to be so wonderful and glamorous - and don't get me wrong, it IS wonderful - but it is so hard. There comes a point when your children grow up and you see them making bad choices and getting hurt, and you want to help them but you can't. You have to let go, and it's very, very hard."

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU. so many of my friends are mothers and I see the challenges they face. Tons of guilt etc. and just not self fulfilling themselves. I have always seen you as a role model because you value family, your relationship with your husband, but especially with yourself. Having you in my life will prepare me that much more for when I am going through it all. We're the same age and I am so at awe with your hard work and attitude.

Hi Valeria - I’ve been watching your videos since you only had 60k followers and have never commented before, but I wanted to let you know what an inspiration you are to me. I am 26 and got engaged 3 weeks ago. People keep telling me I’m too young to get married and start a family, I’m gonna ruin my career (I work in advertising), etc., but you’ve shown me that I can have it all. This is the path that my future husband and I have chosen for ourselves joyfully and I’m excited for what’s to come. I want to thank you for helping me get to this moment and for all that you do to inspire us. I hope one day we can meet in person so that I can give you a big hug! 💕

I don't have kids yet, but both me and my partner want to have full careers and a family at the same time. We often watch your videos together and both you and Gary and the way you balance work and family life are very inspiring to us because it lets us know that it's not only achievable but comes with great rewards too. For instance, like you said, you both get time together and your children are very bright and aware of themselves and the world. I think it's great to be brought up in a working household and can only hope that me and my partner's to-be family is as beautiful as yours. Thankyou both ! x

Right now I'm a sixteen year old girl who always had a "stay at home maman". She is a very kind and caring person and an amazing mom! Now that my sister are older she wants to go back to work and still do all the chores that she always did and be as present in our life as before. I find it kind of sad that she is feeling restrained by us, her (kind of grown up) children. I believe that she has the right to make her self feel good and have as much fun as she wants and deserve. To see a mother like you, Valeria, who takes time for her, her husband ans her carrer as well as being a fabulous mother with absolutely adorable little gentlemen is very inspiring and very refreshing. The way that you seem so relax about giving maybe less time than other mother to your beautiful children kind of triggered me to see more of how you did with your family. It made me realize that to have a passionate mother can be very empowering and just makes every little moments with your family more special, more unique. I think it was time for mother to have their own life and not let family take it all away from because you are still the same person as before! Thank you so much Valeria ❤️ xxx
PS: Congrats for your 800K! You totally deserve it😚

You optimized my view on myself and everything on hands and shown me that it's not about bashing myself up because I'm not good at one point. I'm 25, finishing Medical University, so I am a 'doctor to be' in a year. Watching this, I'm so sorry I don't have kids right now, because I feel like I am going to have exactly the same 'mind struggles' like you. I hope I'll remember to watch these videos when the time comes. 😊 We don't do the same kind of a job, but we both are very enthusiastic about our work. I am such a workaholic, I prioritise my work and my ambition right now.
I hope I'll be like you. The thing I like about you the most is that you try so hard to keep your integrity and self respect even when you are overwhelmed with negativity and everyday struggles. That's what makes you superior. And that's what keeps me coming back.
Since I am commenting almost on a daily basis 😂, I wish you and your team a great day. ❤

This video is your best yet! I’m so proud of you and so empowered by you and what you said about wanting it all! It’s true we are all different but I think as mothers (I’m a single mom of two 11/16) we have one thing in common which is we want to do our best raising our children but also want to live our lives. Times have changed and I do think the best we can do for them is to balance!, show them we accomplished things even though we are parents , give them love and time. I recently graduated college. After so many years I went back and succeeded. They watched me get my diploma on stage and it was honestly the best experience with them to date! They were so proud yelling out mamas name as they called my name. It is a great example that mom works full time and went to school and still managed to give them affection. All we can do is pray we get it right ☺️ love to you and all the mamas!

Hi Valeria, you know, what is really good and inspiring for me is that you sound very sure, mature and deliberate about what you are saying and what you have experienced. What is also elevating is the fact that you are constant in your approach no matter what others may tell even if they may be right in some places - like you said, there is always be the area that you suck in when you play many roles in life. Keep it up, wish you growth and all the best.

I relate to you SO much. When I used to live in Toronto I had just had my first son, trying to have some time away from him to walk around queen and was leaving urban outfitters and you were coming in. You were pregnant and I could tell you were young, only because I was literally dying to find another young mom in the city I took note of you. I even thought you had to be a model. I’m so shy so obviously I wouldn’t go up to another person trying to make a friend lol I have a photographic memory so I remember your face and years later found you on RUclips! My husband is much older than me as well, also running his own business, so I have ALSO been living a life ahead of my years, also with three children! I look forward to all of your videos when you talk about your life. You tell it like it is and I love how it makes me feel not as alone in this journey of family life 💗

Great message for modern day mothers. Nowadays, for a lot of families, being a a stay-at-home mother is not, economically speaking, an option. Also, some mothers might want to pursue other goals for their lives. It should be ok for mamas to work and run their business and not feel guilty or be judged for it. Valeria, the love for your family overflows in your videos and your an example that you CAN DO BOTH (mama and business women) AND BE GREAT AT IT.

Valeria, I think it's SO AMAZING that you are looking further than discipline and letting them have a voice. I don't have children but my bro was 14 years younger than I am and I was such a discipline freak. I'm glad he turned out to be quite a young man and still have his own voice, thank God. haha! You have such a beautiful old soul and I want to give you a hug for all the mom guilt that shouldn't have a place in your life. BIG HUGS!

I think it's great that you touched upon how important it is to also live your life and become your own person before starting this motherhood journey. It can easily look like 'goals' from the outside, but maybe, probably, the experience would be totally different if you did not have the life journey that you did before all of this unfolded.

Valeriaaaa 💕 You're a great inspiration for me, you give me a lot of motivation to keep up and stay positive.
One day when I was watching your Instagram stories my boyfriend sat down next to me and told me that you looked like you were going to cry in any second. I told him that you're going through a lot, just gave birth, etc. Then I saw this video and noticed that your facial expressions really show that you're overwhelmed, especially compared to your younger self in the other video made on the same topic. I know that growing your business is a priority for you now, but as a follower of yours I just want to make sure that you have time for yourself and your beautiful family as well. I am absolutely obsessed with your content, but I truly hope that you're gonna rest in the end of the year and not gonna do vlogmas because it can all get stressful without that anyways and we want you to be happy.
