🎶Lyrics 🎶
Listen to me, there’s someone that I could be
Listen to me, is there no one who believes
In this brown-eyed girl and her stupid dreams
Spent all night writing lines that won’t ever be seen
I know it’s not a lot, but it’s all I’ve got
Stark and cold, to the bone, but it’s all my own
Something born from the noise and from the silence
What can I say
If I’m not great, then I won’t do
What can I say
So that I don’t hate me too
All the things that I wish I could say, if I just had the words
Oh the things that I wish I could say, if they’d ever be heard
I know it’s not that much, but it’s all I’ve got
Might have gone off the lines
Might not rhyme, but it’s done
Saw me cry and thought I’d just give up, well tough
I know I’m nothing but I’ll give all I’ve got
And when everyone leaves, all that’s left is my dream
It’s not lost in the noise, or in the silence
Stay with me please
Stay with me for a little while
I’m sorry that you couldn’t save me this time
If you loved me again it won’t mend what’s breaking my heart
If it’s the end, then my friend, don’t forget, you were my favourite part
I know it’s not enough, but it’s all I’ve got
Stark and cold, to the bone
Ashamed and alone
In the dark, in the stars
In the calm and the storm
This love is mine, not yours
And my lines and my words
Will be seen, will be heard
And this dream, it won’t burn
You’ll remember this brown eyed girl
Elena as a bilingual Canadian, I really have to give you high praise for this arrangement. Thank you for avoiding the pitfall of trying to make the direct translation work musically. You reworked the lyrics to make a great piece. Now! Your voice is lovely, so pure, and licks/runs would detract from hearing the quality of your voice. Well done.
@@hopper131 oh thank you so much for this comment 🙏 I’m glad! 💝
WOOOOOOOOW YOU MADE THIS COVER A ORIGINAL!!!!! YALLL DID THAT!!! RESPECT!! On repeat

What a beautiful English translation with your own words, emotions, grace and touch to the song. I love it. The video is beautiful. Such a lovely setting. I enjoyed the views of the beautiful trees and the lake. Such a passionate accompaniment by the pianist.
That is so kind 💖 thank you so much 💐
I love the original song and I was so surprised to see a cover in my recommendations today.. Your voice is so angelic and I love the emotions in your voice! This is very underrated I hope more people will find this cover too. Thank you for making this cover!

I love this song in french even though I don't know what she is saying. To her this in English and sang so well has enlightened me somewhat.

Are you English or French or something else?
What a beautiful voice

Wow!
I love women belting out songs like this irrespective of language

@@annysouvannarath yessssss shout out to Wilson 🙌🎹
Thank you soooo much🫶🏻🎹
What a beautiful angelic voice! I just searched in youtube trying to look for a violin cover of this song but randomly found you out! Wow such a brilliant cover and from now on I will listen to your English cover instead! The only one thing made me feel a bit regretted is that you should have kept the word “voilà” in chorus because it’s the highlight of the song which made it special. Anyway, love your voice from Vietnam ❤❤
Your voice is so soothing, it's almost therapeutic❤️
increíble
💖🌷
Beautiful ❤

@@arthurrking9536 thanks! Appreciate you✨ yeah I’m not sure there’s a direct English translation for ‘voilà’ 😿 it’s a beautiful phrase though
Very beautiful but I wish she kept the voilà
Very very very beautiful, honestly but….. it’s not a true translation.
There are other great singers who translate it truly and beautifully.
Thanks!:) It's just an interpretation, not a direct word-for-word translation x
Very nice interpretation!
