Fantastic seeing this sort of thing actually growing and getting better as it does!
Intresting that a tractor was need some way through, as they really do save energy and time and are a worthy investment. As an individual family, we have a BCS two wheeled tractor, that are a lot cheaper for the smaller producer, but still do the donky work if used properly. Id love Richard to come and see our set up if you are ever in Wales later 😊
A shame though that there seems, at the end, to be a fear that such a project might fail through governmental red tape! Having the concern be a private members club is a good thing. This can avoid things like involving the tax man, and avoiding cash altogether.
I hadn't seen the original film, so this insight is well needed here by myself.

We are indeed living through critical times , especially for food security as inflation and an over-dependence on global supply chain leads to our own farmers going out of business. A spiral which will only get worse as inflation really starts to kick in. I've been raving about the need for British villages/towns to co-own/farm land for many a year, My concern was that the move to set this type of model might take 15-20 years to come into full fruition, as it will require not only innovators such as 'M yLittle Farm', but assistance from government in terms of amending land use rules and food production regulations. It is very good to know that someone is ahead of the curve, hats off to you.

But he is still pleased with the results and the fluorescent strip light he installed in his bathroom as part of his renovations it is still working well almost 40 years hence. That guy needs to rethink his farming practices. I run an organic farm. Look at all that grass on clay soil. Plant some food plot clover. It will help the soil. Where are the bees? All that mowed grass wtf? Diversity is the key. Clay soil needs root crops to break up the clay. The clay needs carbons. I love a pig roast. Get up at 5 am shoot and butcher pig. Have it on roaster by 7 and hope it gets done around 5 pm. It seems like he's wasting money. Get some blue tarps on that grass for a couple weeks to kill it. Plant brassica food plot mix. Those root vegetables will help fix the soil. Buying organic top soil because too lazy to make it? Or don't know who? His fence rows have better soil than his fields. If he is just gonna buy inputs he might as well embrace modern farming. Missing out on anaerobic activity to improve the soil from the extra moisture. Need to get those wood chips charged and spread out. I could type pages on how to improve what he has going. Seems like he is following a modern farming plan not an organic plan. There is a reason modern farmers fields are sand and gravel and need tons of inputs, but Amish fields next to modern are rich good growing black dirt.

Why not start a substack or start making videos? I am another beginner, and it is incredible how much there is to learn, and how easy it is to make mistakes. Most people nowadays have had no experience at all, and it is very hard to get started. I think you have been incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to learn early in life, no doubt with excellent teachers. Please don't underestimate the hurdles most of us face. Along with many others I am trying and thoroughly enjoying the experience but I know I get lots wrong. The thing is, it is clear that we really need to learn fast and to be able to produce our own food as soon as possible. Any help you can offer would be gratefully received?

But if the shite hits hardest, people will turn canabal anyway...
Lets assume the people in charge fail and places like this will be benificial.

Whatever they ask for, could you go the same route as the council tax? Well you can have this money, land, crops, animals, etc. if you can prove that… (notably that their actions will be for the benefit of the wider population, animals, etc). We know they won’t be able to provide the evidence you ask for, which means you can keep whatever they’re asking for.
Either that or make the land sovereign and you can then do what you like on it without permission, if I understand the concept correctly.
