    There is this girl in my school who has so much hair with so much curls and I really want to treat them like this, her hair is so damaged, I've talked to her and she said she doesn't know how to style it and that its too much work to ever do anything to it. I really want to ask her over to my house or vice versa so I can help her 😂

    I had a lot of heat damage from a couple years of straightening, and I've recently gone natural for good ( no more heat styling ) and I just used the Aphogee Two-Step Protein treatment and it brought most of my curls back to life with just the first use! It got rid of about 86% of my heat damage

    • @infirestear

I chopped my hair and it devastated me. Then my cousin told me about your channel! DON'T EVER STOP WHAT YOU DO!!! Oh my goodness thank you!!! I have just a little bit of heat damage left from when I cut it, and the damaged parts that were left were so dry and frizzy and completely unmanageable. I just did this an hour ago and omg. When washing it out my hair was already noticeably silkier and shinier, and felt thicker/stronger. When styling it the parts that usually just frizzed up and stayed straight actually not only curled a little, but RESPONDED to the products! My hair looks amazing and much healthier. I could cry. I am DEFINITELY doing this each month on top of my deep conditionings! I feel like I'm advocating for a commercial item, but this is just something you can do at home. I won't say it will work the same for everyone, but I have a 3b/3c and my hair looks amazing already!

    I want to know how to have my hair look good in the morning. I have curly hair and before bed or hours before I have a shower and condition my hair etc. However, when I wake up the next morning its all messed up so I shake it around but it never looks as good as the day before, why is that. Do I need to moisturize every morning?
    Someone help!

    it differs for different hair textures. some hair requires less moisture and some requieres more so it all depends on how oily your hair can get and how you like your hair to be. I clarify with this routine because the no poo will add hydration not remove it so it depends on how dry my hair is overall

    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!
    When I was younger I had beautiful tight 3c curls, and really my hair was treated fairly nice, but for some years now my hair has been really looks like 3b/3a hair, I haven't really used heat on my hair, but I also haven't been taking good care of it, which is something I understand, but what I wanna know is why my curls are so loose now, I did the big chop but I haven't seen much of a diffrence, and like I said I don't use heat much, maybe 1x or 2x a year p.s. I recently did a chemical treatment, but like I said this has been happening for years .. Help??

    • @tashawnahogans

      The only way to get perm out of your hair is to cut it off. They is no product or anything on the market for that. Our hair texture changes over time. So no ones hair is exactly like when they were a child. You could be over washing. Make sure to use sulfate free shampoos and leave the conditioner on your hair until you are finished washing up and doing everything else in the shower. Follow up with a deep conditioning treatment after every wash. I wash my hair once a week. I have 3c/4a low density high porosity hair with normal scalp and dry natural hair. Use a heat cap or sit under a hair dryer when deep conditioning. Heat penetrates the hair allowing the deep conditioner to really work its magic. Rinse then always follow up with leave in conditioner. Then product to moisturize. Then oil to seal in moisture. Style and Let air dry half way then diffuse or let air dry complete. Also known as a wash and go. You may need to add a pre poo treatment before every wash. Protein treatment every two weeks or as needed. Research is key!! Mo knows hair is wonderful to follow and I hope this helps!

      Hair changes. Especially after puberty. My hair got curlier urs probably just got looser. My advice is: dont think about types of curls. Enjoy ur hair as it is now. There r so many benefits to looser curls and lm sure ur hair is beautiful

  • @Mrs.AlbaRamos
    @Mrs.AlbaRamos  11 лет назад

    clarifying is a deep clean done once in a while not often. I do it once a month because I do not use shampoo unless im clarifying once a month. I co wash weekly or use deva Curl No Poo which is the opposite of ShamPOO. It cleans without the POO meaning no soap no suds no bubbles that dry out curls

    No disrespect Bumble bee--but this is why little black girls don't know how to comb/care for their hair...inherent laziness. C'mon, the treatment is ONCE a month yo! Is it too much to give YOU/YOUR hair 2.5-3hrs of detailed love and attention--once a month?? If it is, I thoroughly understand--keep doin what you do. Sad that black women don't own even 1 percent of the beauty supply stores in our communities. Koreans and other Asian INVESTORS got that shit on lock! They profit off of our ignorance and lack of self love...sad ;(

    Thanks :) coconut oil is the best oils so I wouldn't recommend anyone stop using because someone else doesnt like the smell so im assuming your leaving coconut oil in your hair for purposes other than deep conditioning. I love coconut scent its one of my favorite smells in this whole world I even have coconut candles so try not going to bed with it or getting it on ur pillow so the smell isnt bothering him. I dont leave it in my hair as a styler so ive never been told i have an unpleasant scent

  • @Mrs.AlbaRamos
    @Mrs.AlbaRamos  11 лет назад

    yes you're right by all means do further research because you'll see why I use baking soda once a month ONLY to clarify because I do the curly girl method all month long which means I do not use shampoo at all all month until I clarify with baking soda. so you see... it balances out. You should do research as well before commenting on something you haven't looked into :)

  • @Mrs.AlbaRamos

    I had the same as u can see in my 2011 videos. You can improve some parts but the entirely straight pieces have to be cut off like I did in 2011 and do masque and stop using heat and your hair will love you back

  • @didashki
    @didashki 10 лет назад +1

    I also do the egg mask, but I prefer to make a special hair mayonnaise:
    1 egg
    1 coffee cup of different types of extra virgin oil (coconut, olive, flax seed, almond, jojoba oil or any kind you like)
    and the juice of half a lemon.
    You can also add some liquid Vitamin E and Vitamin A.
    Then just blend it all together. After applying it on my hair I prefer to use wrapping food foil instead of a shower hat. The longer you leave the mask on, the better.

    No u cannot sleep with egg in ur hair hun! it will damage ur hair to leave egg in it for more than 1 hr. its too much protein and can change texture of hair if u leave it on too long or do it too often. which is why I say in description box below not to do it more than once every few months. its not needed to be done often

  • @Mrs.AlbaRamos

    when done once a month like me being on the curly girl method it works out perfectly and balances out. I dont use shampoo all month only cleansing cream and conditioner to cleanse so Im never at a loss of moisture and once a month I clarify with baking soda. Ive been doing it for years over 2 years to be exact so it all about the routine. its definitely bad if u use to too often by i use it to balance out. so because 1 person proves why they dont like it doesnt mean its bad for everyone.

    not when its done in my perspective which is with the curly girl method meaning I do not use shampoo ever unless im clarifying so I replace shampoo with baking soda ONCE a month to clarify. Finger detangling SHOULD be for everyone! I started the Curly Girl method last month and the results have been good! This video and the Wash & Go vid got me started. I did everything in the handbook too. The biggest game changers were cutting out shampoo and finger detangling. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the coconut oil (my scalp doesn't like it) and twirling my hair. Then again, my hair is fine textured and less dense than Alba's:)

    it was waist length and I cut it 4 inches, then 2 inches then layers gradually not right away until all the damage was gone. I left it above boob length in aug 2012 and now its right below boob length. I no longer have to gradually trim or often trim since all the damage is gone I only trim the hair on the front when it gets to long.

    have u seen how i recovered from my damage in older videos? I cut off my straight pieces and never straightened my hair again and just deep conditioned monthly and also did masque like in this video and kept trimming my damaged straight pieces as it grows. be patient thats all. hair generally grows 1inch to 1-1/2 inch every 2 months! it took me over 6 months to see my natural roots texture so healthy and different from the rest of my hair

    7 months isnt much at all especially after a perm. took me 6 months to see my 2inch new growth growing out without ever having a perm. It will not happen over night Patience & Dedication is worth it. Think realistically... do u really expect ur hair to just go back to curly after 7 months? it has to grow out and u have to gradually start cutting the damage off as it grows. hair grows approximately 1inch to 1-1/2 inch every 2 months. Enjoy the journey, if u dont it'll only seem longer.

    I just stopped by to thank you for your videos. I have very fine type 3c hair. I was able to put together a system of my own that works for my hair. I wouldn't have been able to do so if I didn't have the guidance provided in your videos. I think of all the years of putting all the chemicals in it and wish I would have come across your vids sooner! I used to consider my curls a curse and now I love them. Thank you!

    well I scalp massage and finger detangle once a week before each cleanse but I dont do a protein masque that often I only do it when needed. I do the Anti breakage masque much more often then protein masque. too much protein can be bad because it can change your texture when done too often so Id say if u want something weekly do a hot oil treatment weekly or anti breakage masque by shea moisture not proetin

    Hey Alba, I think leaving the egg for longer periods depends on the type of hair and its needs. I have left it overnight (unintentionally) and have had great results, my hair is fine and if not cared for properly can get brittle and extremely dry. Ive used the yolk when is in this state, left it for longer than an hour (or overnight) and works great. I mix it with coconut milk, avocado and other stuff. Coconut oil also works wonders for dry hair. Me fascina ver a dominicanas como tu. Keep it up!

    I have a cut shaped around my face frame long layers so I maintain long length with short layers around the crown area for volume on top so my hair is short on top long true to length on bottom

    In order to moisturize your hair, you have to use something that has some kind of water in it.Leave-in conditioners and hair moisturizers are made for this.You don't have to moisturize your hair before you wash it as it makes no sense to.You should moisturize it after you wash and condition.You can even moisturize your hair with a homemade spritz and a whole plethora of things.

    I think you have become one of my new favorites!!! You are gorgeous and I love any tips that I can get on my curly hair. My hair has always been natural but lately it has lost its curl and moisture. Before I watched this video I purchased some of these conditioning items and now I am excited about starting the no heat journey for the next few months. Thank you again for helping out the girls with the curly hair. Its not as manageable as some people think... lol

    you can use olive oil or avocado oil because they also penetrate the hair shaft just like coconut. Or just use any oil like jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil . Any oil will help honestly :)

    I think that has to do with how ur applying ur products and smoothing it down while applying from root to tip like I do in my new curly hair routine. I also dont touch my hair until its dry and dont manipulate it until its 100% dry before I fluff and add volume

    You don't have to refrigerate coconut oil, although in heat it will melt to an oil state and in room temperature or lower coconut oil will solidify. It all just depends on your preference. Personally I leave mine in my room.

    its not recommended to apply that much protein often its suggested to be applied no more than once every 6 months! if u dont use heat often or no heat like me you will most likely not even need to apply egg in ur hair often anyway

    yea, I realized it was in the description box after I wrote the comment. :) I can not wait for your updated curly girl routine! You have definitely change my perceptions on my skin and hair products.(parabens,sulfates etc) I have seriously gone and bought a lot of the products you use and I love them.My hair is not as curly as yours( i would like it to be), But I notice a difference. Curly hair don't care!! Thank you so much!
