This makes me cry because it's so good and I have so many hard memories that are connected to this song and I just feeeeeeeeeeeeeel it. Thank you Le Tigre
I'm a radical feminist and trans women are always thinking we hate them just because we don't accept them in women-only spaces (since they weren't socialized women / aren't oppressed because of their sex but because of their "gender" presentation> they deserve a space to talk specifically about trans issues, not access to one who is full of many MANY issues that don't concern them at all) and even us, those "terf" that everybody seems to hate, we don't call trans people the T slur. I love Le Tigre and this whole band, but Kathleen didn't do a good thing there:/ I love her a lot still but that is not cool- Anyway this song is AWESOME! :D
hmm... I'd appreciate if she didn't use a slur against women like me (i.e. "tranny") before singing a song that I guess is supposed to be about being my ally? kinda confused by that.
eh no she can not say whatever she wants. as a cis woman she does not have the ability to reclaim the t slur. we know she didn't say it maliciously but that's not the point, actually. there are power structures bigger than kathleen hanna.
@@1one2twoeyesonyou Trans activism is not about being "uptight". It‘s about making feminism more inclusive because there is more to womanhood than cis people can represent.
This song just kept me from doing the biggest mistake.

OMFingG! We are all so very uptight it has become a parody at best and scary at worse.
